Who are God’s chosen people today? To whom pertain the promises of God under the new covenant? Who are the rightful inheritors of the blessings of God in our day? Does God have more than one people?

These are all pertinent questions in the light of the loud, repeated and unbiblical claims from Dispensationalists over this past 195 years.

They need to know: under the new covenant, all the promises of God, find their confirmation and fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Romans 15:8 states: Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers.”

All of the Old Testament promises and covenants find their realization in the person of Jesus Christ. He is the fulfillment of every single old covenant type.

2 Corinthians 1:19–20 tells us: “For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”

Those who are found “in Christ” are the only recipients of the blessing of God and the promises of God since the cross. Only they are the true spiritual children of Abraham – by faith. God only has one people. Salvation can only be found in man’s only Savior – Jesus Christ. Favor with God and divine election only apply to those who have personally embraced Christ Jesus. We should also remind ourselves: the new covenant is eternal. It will never be parallelled by any other covenant in some imaginary future age. It will never be superseded. It will never be erased. It is God’s final and unending covenant with man.

Galatians 3:13-14, 16-17 states: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith … Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds (plural), as of many; but as of one (single), And to thy seed, which is Christ For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.”

Who do the promises apply to today?

To the seed of Christ - the fulfiller of the Abrahamic promises. According to this, there is only one favored seed of Abraham today, and they are a spiritual seed. They include all those who belong to Christ. There is no other seed. There are not 2 seeds, as Dipsies would claim. It is this blessed seed which the largely Gentile New Testament Church has entered into “in Christ.” He is man’s only way of access into that blessed spiritual heritage.

When the unbelieving Jews boasted to Jesus, Abraham is our father” (John 8:39) He rebuked them: Ye are of your father the devil.” Paul did the same in Romans 9:6-8: For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, they which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.”

This could not be clearer. Paul confirmed: race means nothing today. Jews and Gentiles that accept Christ are of their Heavenly Father. Any other gospel is a false gospel. It is another gospel.
  • Christ-rejecting Israel is of their father the devil (John 8:44).
  • They are off the synagogue of Satan (Revelation 2:9, 3:9).
  • They are enemies of God (Romans 11:28).
  • They are of antichrist (I John 2:22-23 ) and are under the wrath of God (John 3:36).
Those who apply the favor of God and the blessing of God to ethnic Christ-rejecting Israel have no grasp of the repeated teaching of the New Testament. They have been misled by their Dispensational teachers.

Paul makes a clear contrast between those who are “the children of the flesh” (referring specifically to Christ rejecting Israel) and those who are “the children of promise.” He shows us that these are two different diverse peoples. In doing this he is attempting to illustrate the impotence of the natural and the potency of the spiritual.

The reality is: God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34-35, Romans 2:11, Galatians 2:6, Ephesians 6:9, Colossians 3:25, 1 Peter 1:17). God shows no favoritism in regard to a person’s nationality, color, social status, education, knowledge, family heritage, race, or gender. Basically, your birthplace, birthday or passport carries no merit with God. The exclusive nationalistic favor of one nation has been eternally removed in Christ to embrace both Jew and Gentile equally by faith. This will never be overturned. The sinner (of all nationalities) enters exclusively into communion with God through faith in Christ on an equal basis.

Jesus reinforced that throughout His teaching. We that in Matthew 21:42-46: Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.”

Those who insist on maintaining Israel’s covenantal role and yet separating them from the New Testament congregation are absolutely dependent upon maintaining the old covenant arrangement. The only problem is: it has been long-abolished. It will never be resurrected. It is redundant. What is more, the New Testament structure allows no distinction whatsoever between Jews and Gentiles, something that marks the old arrangement. Those who promote that today advance spiritual apartheid to separate Israel from the remainder of God’s people. Those who do this have no understanding of the teaching of Christ, the new covenant guidelines and the repeated teaching of the sacred New Testament text.

It is time for our Dispie brethren to abandon the old covenant and enter into the new covenant – with its new enhanced and broader structure and better promises.

Galatians 3:29: if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Hello! Here you have it! This is strong, unmistakable, irrefutable, unshakeable, rock-solid, evidence, that man’s only hope of partaking in the covenant promises of Abraham, belong exclusively to those who belong to Jesus and His redeemed Church.

Paul tells the largely Gentile Church at Galatia in Galatians 4:28-29: “Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.”

The whole wider discourse here focuses in on identifying what is of God and what is not, especially in regard to Abraham’s descendants. The dividing factor comes down to: men are either “born after the flesh” and are “in bondage” or “born after the Spirit” and are “free.” This has always been the case from the beginning. Race or physical birthright was never the determining feature when it came to blessing. It was instead spiritual vitality. After all, both of these boys were biological children of Abraham. But the difference between them was that Isaac was a child of promise and Ishmael was not.

Paul assures the mainly Roman church in Romans 8:16-17: “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

The Greek word for “heir” is kleronomos meaning ‘getting by apportionment’, it can be interpreted ‘an inheritor or a possessor’. This is what happens upon salvation, we were adopted into the family of God and became one with Christ, whereupon, through Christ, we assumed a heavenly inheritance.

Hebrews 8:6: “now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he (Jesus) is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”

There are no promises for those who are not in Christ!

You're just another terrorist loving, Jew hating, anti semitic worker of evil who cannot rightly divide the word of truth, you know not God, you know not the scriptures or the promises of God to His Chosen People, did I mention Nazi? Well, you're a Nazi.

I don't believe any of those things of course, nice post. I just thought I would try to prepare you for what's coming next. Maybe this forum is different. But threads such as the one you have created often go down hill rather quickly.

Sorry, I hope I didn't give you a heart attack. I've been told I have a strange sense of humor.

Much love, much peace.
Well done.

I would hate to try and refute the Op. Honestly! What can one argue? The NT Scripture is wrong?

I am waiting with bated breath to see what the rebuttal is. Typically, it is ignore the thesis and present what they have been taught. But we shall see.

That is happening more and more. Premils are now chickening out of subject after subject online like this because they are getting roasted by the truth. They normally avoid and/or throw ad hominem as they run. Honestly! The 3rd tactic is diversion. They divert to irrelevancies.

I truly believe that Premil is on the ropes. They lack any viable corroboration for all their main tenets.

Who are God’s chosen people today? To whom pertain the promises of God? Who are the rightful inheritors of the blessings of God in our day? Does God have more than one people?
God's elect are tribe of the second man (1 Corinthians 15:47) who is the last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45). He created all things and is before all things (Colossians 1:16-17).

1. GOD AND ZOE (LIFE)

The life [zoe] that is in Him is eternal life [zoe aionios].(John 1:4; John 5:26). He alone has eternal life [zoe aionios] in Himself.

Eternal life [zoe aionios] is given in Christ to those who have been born again of His Spirit. (John 1:4; John 5:26; John 14:6; 1 John 5:11-12; and Colossians 3:4).

Jesus told those who believe in Him and belong to Him:

"I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you." (John 14:19b-20b).

He also told all human beings that we need to be born of the Spirit (John 3:3-8) in order to perceive, experience, and have knowledge of the Kingdom of God,

which He said "does not come with external evidence (that can be observed). Nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'It's over there!' For take heed, be discerning, and perceive this:

The kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21);

and in Colossians 1:27 Paul talks about "the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints,

which is Christ IN you, the hope of glory."

"When Christ, who is our life [zoe], shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." (Colossians 3:4).

2. THE CREATURE AND ZAO
(TO BE ALIVE | TO BE LIVING | TO LIVE)

God created human beings to live | to be alive [zao] in created bodies, on the created earth; and He breathed life [ZOE] into Adam in order that Adam could ZAO [live | be alive] forever. God did not create human beings to "die and then go to heaven when we die" - and the first humans lived in a paradise,

but ever since Adam - the created human being - sinned and began to die, no descendant of Adam and Eve has continued to be alive | live [zao] forever, because no human being can live | be alive [zao] forever (be immortal) unless he also has eternal life [zoe] in him

- but only Christ has eternal life IN HIMSELF (John 5:26).

This is why Paul taught:

"He (Christ) alone has (possesses) immortality and lives in unapproachable light, whom no human has ever seen or is able to see. To him be honor and eternal power! Amen." (1 Timothy 6:15-16).

And,

"For this reason Christ died [apothnesko] and rose again from the dead [anistemi], and lived again [anazao], so that he may be the Lord of both the dead [nekros] and living [zao: those who are alive, not dead]." (Romans 14:9).

So Jesus said to John,

"Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that is alive / that liveth [zao], and was dead; and, behold, I am alive [zao] to the ages of the ages, Amen; and I have the keys of hades and of death." (Revelation 1:17-18).

Adam was alive [zao] forever (immortal) but he sinned, and the moment he sinned, his body began to die. So when Adam died, what happened to the spirit of life [zoe] that God had breathed into him?

"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7 - Solomon).

[-- "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living [zao/chay] soul [nephesh]." -- Genesis 2:7).]

When Jesus raised a young girl from the dead, the gospel of Luke tells us that:

"her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat." (Luke 8:55). (This occurred before Jesus had died and risen again bodily from the dead).

==================================
* There is only one Spirit that was the source of life [zoe] that enabled Adam to live [zao] forever before he sinned, lost his connection to the source of life, and his body began to slowly die;

and there is only one Spirit that is the source of life [zoe], by which human beings can live | be alive [zao] FOREVER (be immortal) after having been resurrected from the dead.
==================================

No so-called 'dead human spirit' being "regenerated from death" is going to be 'another' source of life [zoe] enabling the person to live [zao] forever.

There are at least four passages where the New Testament uses the word zao to talk about those who had died but will live again | be alive again following the resurrection of the body from the dead, where main-stream churches conflate zao (to live | to be alive) and zoe (spiritual life, which is of God) by replacing the word zao with the word zoe in their doctrine:-

|| Matthew 22:32 & Mark 12:27; John 5:24-29; John 11:25-26; and Revelation 20:4-5. ||

Those who have their theology wrong regarding zoe aionios (eternal life) and being alive [zao] forever (immortal) and refuse to be corrected will never hear, and hence will also never understand the millennium of Revelation 20 - and will forever conflate what God says in scripture regarding His chosen (Christ and those in Christ), with Christ's Revelation of the first age of the ages of the ages - and will no doubt merely respond to posts like this one with a :funlaugh2(as they have done so many times before).

I won't 'bless' you with encouraging you to enjoy your confusion, brother - because your confusion is not a blessing, nor is your inability to hear and hence to grow in your knowledge and understanding of the things you speak about.

You have falsely asserted two things in the OP:

1. That Premillennialism is Dispensationalism (or Premillennialsm equates to believing in a chosen people who are not those who belong to Christ).

2. That a literal millennium following the return of Christ equates to the same.

You need to grow - which requires growing up first - something which your replacement of your usual hlf with the letters Lol in your reply to my post betrays the fact that you are not even able to do the latter yet.

A line in YOUR OP quoted:
Premils are respecters of people and elevate Israel today above all nations, when Christ is no respecter of nations, colors, creeds or passports.
Untwist your own words, because your speech is duplicitous.

Hi WPM,

Today we, the Body of Christ are whom the Lord is working our His purposes for. However, that does NOT negate His other purposes - Israel and the Nations.

`Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.` (Rom. 11: 28)

Unfortunately, you try your best to make the NT say the opposite to what it says. However, God’s people are not a physical race but a spiritual race.

Romans 9:31 attests: Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.”

One of the most misinterpreted passages by Premillennialists is Romans 11:7 & 28. It states, “What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded…. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes."

So here you have it, talking about natural fleshly Christ-rejecting Israel:
  • “Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.”
  • “Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for” (Romans 11:7).
  • “As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes” (Romans 11:28).
No one could argue with any credence that these statements relate to all Israelis. It would be utter folly to suggest that none of the Jews have obtained what they sought. Neither could anyone argue that all natural Israelis are “enemies” as “concerning the gospel.” After all, many have gladly embraced Christ over this past 2,000 years. Because of this they are intimately beloved of the Father. They are therefore not enemies of God, but rather friends. This fits Paul’s ongoing comparison between those who are loved by God amongst his kinsmen, and those who are enemies. Romans 9-11 makes clear that they are chosen vessels of God.

This is talking about the unsaved element of Israel that are blinded/hardened. They are lost. They are of their father the devil. The “election” on the other hand are saved. They are the faithful remnant that belongs to God – His favor rests upon them. This holy remnant is not just Jews. They include believing Gentiles from throughout the nations – of all tribes and kindreds.

A line in YOUR OP quoted:

Untwist your own words, because your speech is duplicitous.
Do you believe natural ethnic Israel will have any place in your future millennium? Do you see a future rebuilding of the temple? Do you see future animal sacrifices?

You are wrongly attributing blessing and favor to those who are under the wrath of God, who are antichrist, are of their father the devil, and are of the synagogue of Satan. That is because you fail to see the 2 groups of Israelis that Paul is talking about in Romans 9-11.

What is the whole thrust of Romans 9-11? What is the subject matter? The whole context involves Paul talking about the two types of ethnic Israeli – one elect and the other blinded. This is undeniable. God is showing how He is bound to His elect and against those who reject Him. To argue otherwise is to twist Scripture to support one's false teaching.

If you study the whole thrust of Romans 9-11 you will see that Paul is comparing the chosen elect (the election) within Israel to those who are "blinded." In Romans 11:1-5, Paul identifies “his people which he foreknew” as a spiritual “remnant according to the election of grace.” This is in complete contrast to the “blinded” natural majority of Israelis who reject Christ. There is no way they can be deemed God’s chosen people, God’s elect or the people of God, regardless of how loud or often Dispensationalists claim this.

We see the whole dichotomy between true Israel and false Israel throughout Romans 9-11. Romans 11:7-10 corresponds, “What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded [Gr. poroo hardened]. (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.”

This is actually saying the opposite to what many Premillennialists argue. In fact, it is actually saying what is says: “Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for.” In short, salvation or favor with God has absolutely nothing to do with one’s ethnicity. It is not about being an Israelite; it is nothing to do with racial status or nationality; it is all to do with being chosen – namely being one of God’s elect remnant. This is the only means of favor with God. This spiritual family are the true Israel and the only accepted people of God. To be of the “election” one has to have a real personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Paul underlines in Romans 11:28: “As concerning the gospel, they (Christ-rejecting Jews) are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election (God’s people), they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.”

There are two distinct but diverse peoples described here – one saved and the other lost. These two distinct groups operate under two antithetical banners: “enemies” and “the election.” The enemies are the general Christ-rejecting populace of natural Israel. They are also identified as the "blinded." The "election" are the chosen believers.

Paul shows throughout his teaching that there are two groups within Israel: one faithful and true, the other unfaithful and merely professing. One is known as “the election” (or “the elect”) and the other as the “blinded” or ‘hardened ones’. One is a friend of God, the other is an enemy of His. One is all outward, the other is inward. God shows Himself bound to one, and strongly against the other.

Sadly, Dispensationalists back the wrong Israel in their teachings. They choose natural Christ-rejecting apostate Israel, above the elect spiritual remnant in order to justify their false doctrine. In doing so, they miss the whole development of faithful Israel into the New Testament Church.

Let's hope and pray that is true.

So why did God work with Israel for 2,000 years expecting them to fulfill the law in their own strength?

Why did God then make a new group, the Body of Christ who also were disobedient before He enabled them to obey Him?

That is partial, and we know God is NOT partial.

No. He never made a new group. That is a Dispie lie. He expanded true remnant believing Israel to include the Gentile nations. I have showed you the biblical evidence and you have rejected that.

There are no words that exemplify the union Christ made between the old covenant saints and the new covenant believers than what Jesus told to His Jewish followers prior to the cross, in John 10:14-16, I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”

Union with Christ is an organic relationship that brings us into a tightly interwoven corporate body. A person cannot be saved except they are in union with Christ. Being in union with Christ brings us into union with God’s people.

We have been grafted into the faithful remnant of believing Israel. We are now one with them. There is no racial distinction any more or apartheid amongst the people of God. God looks at the Church as one flock, one fold and one people.

  • Jesus told His Jewish disciples in John 10:14-16 that there were “other sheep … which are not of this fold” which would be brought into His fold and they would “be one fold, and one shepherd,” talking about the NT overwhelmingly Gentile Church.
  • The Bible says we (the redeemed of all nations and ethnic groups) have been grafted into 'an Israeli tree' (Romans 9-11).
  • The Bible says we who were once aliens from the "citizenship of Israel" have now been brought in through the blood of Christ to that privileged place (Ephesians 2). He said He would make one spiritual man out of “twain.”
  • The Bible says that Jew and Gentile alike, have now been graciously merged together into "the Israel of God" (Galatians 6:15-16).
  • The Bible says we are 'Jews' and we are "the circumcision" today (Romans 2:25-29; Philippians 3:3 and Colossians 2:11).
  • The Bible says we are "the children of Abraham" (Romans 4:11; 4:13-15; 4:16-18; 9:6-8; Galatians 3:7-9; 3:12-14; 3:16 and 3:26-29) today.
  • The Bible says we now reside and abide in "Jerusalem" and "Mount Zion" (Matthew 21:42-46; John 3:3; Romans 9:33; 11:26; Ephesians 1:3; Ephesians 2:4-6; Philippians 3:20; Hebrews 12:22 and 1 Peter 2:5-10).
