Any other former Catholic have a testimony of coming to know Christ as their personal Savior?
As I mentioned before, I think some Catholics can be born again, if they truly are just trusting in Jesus for their salvation.
But if a person is new to the Christian faith, (why I made this topic), it's important to get into a good Bible-based church. Rather than learning a lot of unScriptural beliefs.
Deb,
You're doing what many do.
WHAT unscriptural beiefs are you referring to?
Also, should Protestants that are learning unscriptural beliefs ALSO leave their denomination?
And WHO is to determine which are false?
I attended a Nazarene church for about 10 years.
I hear they now have women pastors.
This is not biblical.
Do all denominations teach the same?
Why not?
This is a very complex issue and it's brought up every time someone makes a statement about
1. The CC not being Christian.
2. The CC is a cult.
3. Some in the CC may be saved. (as if we can determine who is and who isn't).
14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Every denomination I'm familiar with (3) teaches salvation in Jesus.
(this includes the Catholic Church).
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:14-17.
Agreed.
