Some today claim that only the saved speak in 'tongues', where did Paul teach that ?
If perfect is come is not completed Scripture then what verses teach the reason for the NT Apostles losing their 'gifts' ?
Have you seen a modern day 'gift' holder :-
- Raise the dead ?
- Survive drinking a lethal substance ?
- Talk in tongues that someone unknown to them can understand ?
- Accurately predict an event that man has no control over ?
eg 10 am 5 Dec 2025 massive natural disaster in New York ?
If so, please list them, otherwise BEWARE OF FALSE APOSTLES/PROPHETS claiming they are saved.

The Day of Christ started with Pentecost and will culminate when He comes to take the mature Body of Christ to His own throne. (Phil. 1: 6 - 10 1 Cor. 1: 7 & 8 Acts 3: 20 & 21 Rev. 3: 21

The day of Christ, day of the Lord, and day of God are all the same. Just three different ways of referring to the same day.

You are giving your viewpoint regarding the “DAY of the Lord”, seemingly as being “A Single Day”.

Yes, I made that very clear. On that day, according to Paul and Peter, the church will be gathered to Christ and all of His enemies in spiritual darkness will experience "sudden destruction" from which "they shall not escape" by way of fire coming down on the entire earth. That is what is clearly taught in passages like 1 Thessalonians 4:14-5:4 and 2 Peter 3:10-12.

I believe “THE DAY” of the Lord, is NOT limited to a “SINGLE DAY”…

Why do you believe that?

(Leaning on the FACT… human men are Limited by a Single Day… approx 24 hours… Time Constraint…
And the Lord IS NOT.

Rather, I view THE Day of THE Lord…a culmination, of His Presence, His Works, His Gifts, His Judgements, His Spiritual Relationship WITH, IN, men, His gathering, as IS attributed TO Him.

You think you do. I believe you misinterpret a lot of scripture.

* Some Humans Will desire, “peace and safety” in this world.
* Some Humans Will speak, “how to achieve “peace and safety” in this world.
* Upstanding goals “of Humans to promote “peace and safety” in this world…ie “a peacemaker” is a “Nobel stance”.
* Expecting this Whole World, to achieve, “World peace and safety”….by, of, through Humans… IS NOT matter of factly, achievable for humans to accomplish.

What does this have to do with what Paul was talking about in 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3? Nothing. Nowhere did he talk about world peace and safety there. That's the point I'm making in this thread. But, pre-tribs typically think that's what he is talking about.

Yes rvmb, there are plenty of false Apostles and Prophets around today. The Lord knows whom He has sent I do not have to have seen them.
