Christ does not speak to "us" in parables. Christ spoke to "them" in parables. His disciples had not yet received the Holy Spirit at this point in Christ's earthly ministry. So they often needed Christ to explain Himself. Even now, those of us who have the Holy Spirit, are still in need of revelation, and to be guided by the Spirit into all truth.

I respectfully question your statement that it was Christ who revealed this to you, because it has been directly contradicted by His own infallible word.

My apologies if you two have already worked through this, but your position here (above) is not correct. As long as there are babes to be taught in the ways of God, He speaks in parables; and from that time that Jesus spoke regarding Israel not hearing or perceiving, He then went on to this other fold of the gentiles teaching in much the same way...as He changes not.

Many can attest to the unscriptured parables of God, and so does history. For example: Did you hear and perceive the one involving Columbus? Yes, Christopher Columbus (the namesake of Christ) crossed the great ocean sea to the new world on one of three vessels. He specifically came forth by the Santa Maria (the namesake of Saint Mary). Then after his voyage was "finished", his vessel was destroyed on Christmas day.

And how about God's creation of man in his own image and likeness--or man portraying God as husband, and women portraying the church as bride and wife, are these not also parable still actively in use even to this day? Is marriage not a parable for the church also, even among these times of the gentiles? It is. And yet do many still not perceive it for the same reasons given by Isaiah and by Christ?

Well yyyeahhhhh, herbal tea sometimes. And mine tastes great because of the great herbal ingredients and the purity of the water, and its hot.

Ingredients such as: green ginger, or straight ginger, rose hips, orange peel, hibiscus, passion fruit, mango, safflower, licorice root, passionfruit. lemongrass and more.

I also like coffee now. A great picker-upper in the a,m.

So my beverage water goes into the cup and immediately seeks its own level based on the quantity of water and the shape and size of the cup. The bigger and higher the cup the lower the water level. And if I get a crack in the bottom of the cup, the water level will go to zero, quite quickly.

And off course water does not run down the outsides of the earth's top layer of atmosphere, stratosphere right, in its not so perfect spherical shape. It has a slight bulge in the middle that goes all around. Must have gained a few pounds since the earth population has increased and more people want to retire to the warmer weather. Just a wild theory of course and I think its got nothing to do with space-born water flowing down the sides of the earth and the water levels we see at surface level. Maybe some global warming people would differ with me, and may even support your water flow and level view. You know if there are cracks on the ocean floors the water level in those areas might even be lower that other areas....just another thought.....you might know, I could be dead wrong.

And in Australia there are not many long ranges and high hills so the water cannot run up on or down them for too long, and that should not make much difference in the water level in that county anyway.
