The Amish are still riding around with horses and buggies. My cousin in Ohio says they ride right by his home. I saw an Amish family while we were visiting the zoo in Pittsburgh, PA.
I never knew back then (1950s and 1960s as I was a child) that there were Amish towns about an hour North of Pittsburgh. Now I'm sorry I missed seeing those towns.
Pennsylvania also has a lot of covered bridges which I would have loved seeing.
