Ive suffered from pretty bad anxiety a lot of my life. When I am in a bad place with anxiety all I think about is my relationship with the Lord, reading the Bible, focusing on it, etc...im sure because of fear/anxiety. When my anxiety is at bay, I am naturally more carefree and jovial which in turn makes my walk not as much as a serious focus in my mind, even though I try to constantly remind myself. I think it's normal to be more carefree in times of not having worry, but its just really frustrated me that I can't always be the focused unless I'm having worry. My mom used to say going round and round the mountain. Hope this makes sense as an input is appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out.

It sounds like you are focused solely on yourself and your personal concerns. Good Christians turn their attention to helping others, which turns out to cure many personal anxieties.

Do you have family or friends you can assist? Are there charitable organizations to volunteer for? If you attend a church, does it have mission projects?

In the mean time, count your blessings and ask God to guide you.

Peace.

You are right, I am very selfish in my worries.

Ive suffered from pretty bad anxiety a lot of my life.

Be honest with yourself and with God. What have you got to be anxious about?
Start following opendoors and learn about the problems of Christians in islamic countries and start praying intelligently for them.

Do you really trust in Jesus? Do you trust him to care for you?
Instead of worrying about your problems try praying , again intelligently about them.
What do you want God to do about your anxieties?
Have you medication that God has provided for you and do you take it?
Is there someone at your church you could talk to about your worries?

I find that it helps when you have something you can watch or listen to.

I play you this.
