There once dwelt a man who lived in the wilderness .
And many animals he did have and took great care of them all .
When the sick got sick he would even nurse it back to health
and keep it warm in the winter and cool with lots of water in the summer .
He had been warned howe ver by a wise master builder
to beware of the snakes living in the land .
So always was the man careful to heed such instruction .
One day as he was walking about his land
he saw a wounded snake . And He said hey little fellow
what be the matter with you .
To which the serpent said , I am wounded and weary and i hear tale
that you love and take care of the animals of the land .
To which the man said , but alas i was warned about the snakes .
TO which the serpent said , look at me , i can barely move
and i have heard tale that you were given instruction by the wise master to take good care of the animals of your land .
Am i not an aminal and am i not in need .
So the man then carries the wounded snake home.
He puts him in a small bed and ensures the snake has plenty of food and water .
Day by day he and the snake talk and become as friends .
Then one day the serpent says can you please get me out of this box
for i am cramped and weary . You have done me much good
and i am ready to return to the wilderness .
So the man takes the box with the snake . The snake says you may release me
where you found me . So the man goes to the place
where he found him and takes him out of the box .
And for a moment their eyes meet and love seems to be in the air .
TILL SUDDENLY the snake strikes his neck with fierce fangs .
And as the man lie dying he says to the snake , But i cared for you , i took great care of you as though
you were one of my own animals . To which the sepernt said , ALAS you did
BUT DID YOUR wise master not warn you to beware me , I mean , I AM A SNAKE .
CHRISTENDOM better beware with what it has made its bed with my friends . cause at the end it will be their death .
