We need to expose an ingenious scam here.
Going back to the first page of this thread:
Below is a picture of an actual covid virus blown up from an electron microscope.
Yes, the above is indeed a "picture
" (not a photograph)
. But no, the above is NOT "an actual covid virus blown up from an electron microscope."
A picture, illustration, drawing, image, rendering, or painting is NOT a real-life scene.
Conversely, a
photograph is specifically taken with a
camera, capturing a
real-life scene.
A photograph is actually a real image which is obtained on a screen (photographic film). A real image is formed when rays of light converge at a point after reflection or refraction.
So here's the scam: You won't find a single
photograph of any so-called corona virus spike protein -
because it does not exist.
Note the legerdemain from CDC i.e. "The image is a scientific
illustration of a coronavirus, specifically the virus responsible for COVID-19." (Go ahead, right click it and do a Google Lens search on it.)
(Note: A picture is a broader term that includes photographs, drawings, paintings, and any other visual representations. Essentially, all photographs are pictures, but not all pictures are photographs.)
To further illustrate (pun intended), you will never find a single
photograph (a
real-life scene captured via
camera) of any NASA satellite. (Go ahead, check the labelings on NASA's voluminous pages of images.) Those images will
always be labeled with some other term (e.g. picture, illustration, drawing, image, rendering, painting). Likewise, you will
never find a single
photograph of globe earth.
Anything that is NOT a real-life scene will always be labeled with something other than "photograph."
Cartoons are for kids.
Caveat emptor.
