God gave us the oil to refine for gas. The gospel spread because of it. Billy Graham traveled all over the world and spread the gospel. There would be no air travel, and you'd be stuck on a ship with sails and 4 months at sea to travel to another country. Food would be scarce by wagons deliveries. So, oil is a blessing for many reasons.
Oh dear.....do you understand that the devil has created a world of dependency? All of the things that God created to sustain life were free.....we were to work with our own hands to sustain our lives, using all the things God provided to do so....but under satan’s rulership, we have lost the ability to do that...and now we are slaves to those who control those things.....food delivery systems are only necessary if we do not grow our own food....the seeds of which were a guarantee of a perpetual supply. God did not create huge and greedy corporations to milk us of our income because of our need to eat. Humans did that.
Transportation by road, rail or air today, comes at a cost, materially, and with each one contributing to the pollution of our atmosphere where God designed trees to take in what we breathe out.....a perfect system, self-perpetuating. He did not design the atmosphere to absorb unnatural pollution. Man made again.
As for the transportation of the Billy Graham’s of Christendom’s churches.....who said such ones needed today’s means of transportation?
Wasn’t Christianity to be preached at the local level? All Christians were given the assignment to preach....but in order to reach other nations some were assigned to travel.
When people spent weeks at sea in sail boats to reach their destination in Bible times, did they have any expectation to reach it sooner? Do sail boats pollute the atmosphere?
The invention of machinery that ran on fossil fuels, was the beginning of the end.....it may have revolutionised how humans conducted their business and increased their profits...but at what cost to the environment?...and at the expense his human self sufficiency. A price that was lost in the landslide that followed.
When humans designed things, as the industrial revolution changed the way man lived on this planet, did they originally take into consideration that the machinery they designed to make life easier, would be harmful to the environment? Or were they made aware of it over time as the evidence accumulated? Once they knew, weren’t they under obligation to do something about it? What did they do that made any real difference, when money was to be made by ignoring it? Did pretending it wasn’t there, make it go away?
Daniel 12:4 - But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”
The “knowledge” we have today leaves us with no excuse to promote what is detrimental to the earth, to its inhabitants, and that has only greed for profit at its base. Look at what is happening around the world? Once prosperous nations like the USA (and many other nations, my own included) are showing the decline in quality of life, with the rich exploiting the poor and forcing people who could once maintain a moderate, middle class lifestyle, who are now forced to live in their cars, or to be part of an ugly tent city.
Those who promote the greed of this world have fallen right into satan’s trap.....and they will protest loudly to maintain their lifestyle and to promote the lie that the end justifies the means. As
@Wrangler is doing right now.
Tell it to the Creator who knows the ones who are mindful of his creation and want to respect it, rather than those who ignore the consequences to enjoy the lifestyle.....one that is sadly disappearing for the now homeless ones who thought that this could never happen to them.
