I've heard numerous people claim "God gave us doctors"

Yes, Luke was a physician but there is no scripture showing where he keeping practicing medicine after he started walking with Jesus. All the other disciples quit their profession to follow Jesus full time.

If it is true God gave us doctors then there should be at least one example in scripture where Jesus declined to heal someone and instead told the person needing healing to make an appointment with Dr Luke.

Can you prove from scripture that the Lord is instructing His people to trust in the wisdom and abilities of man, which is what practicing medical science is seeing it's mostly experimentation at it's best, rather than trusting the Lord for health coupled with God's Wisdom such as eating good, exercising, getting plenty of rest, not engaging is worry and anxiety or sin, etc?

I don't see anywhere in scripture where the Lord gives His people a call to action to go to doctors trusting in man's wisdom / ability rather than trusting in God's promises for healing in His Word.

God watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12), so is there any reason why He would exclude His promises on healing?

If you have any scripture references showing God giving His people instructions to trust in doctors, I'd like to see them if you can share any scriptures you have found along these lines.

Lifestyle can be a prevention of some civilization diseases, yes.

But I am pretty sure that, if you will have an accident and break your legs or if you will have arterial bleeding, acute poisoning, serious car accident etc. or if your close one will have a heart attack or stroke, you will call medical emergency and you will pray that they would arrive as soon as possible. And you will then go to hospital. You will not search in the Bible if you can trust doctors.

Yeah, some may need to be patched up if they were in an accident. The Lord has taught me that it's better to pay attention to avoid accidents and believe in His divine protection as to never need to be patched up from having an accident.

But I'm thinking in terms of sickness and disease which is far more common than accidents. So many Christians never even bother to believe God concerning His promises of health and healing in the scriptures and instead trust in doctors.

They are literally trusting in the carnal wisdom of man trying to heal apart from the Lord as we see no promises in God's Word that God gave us doctors or that God is going to assist the carnal wisdom of man trying to heal apart from the Lord

The lady in Mark 5:25-34 learned the hard way about doctors failing so much and it's odd that Jesus and His disciples never setup any doctor appointments with Dr Luke clueless-scratching.gif

If what some are saying is true that God gave us doctors then there should be at least one example in scripture saying this or at least showing where Jesus or His disciples set someone up with a doctor appointment.

Mark 5:25-34
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

"No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments."
1 Timothy 5:23

So many Christians never even bother to believe God concerning His promises of health and healing in the scriptures and instead trust in doctors.
Paul was not healed, Timothy was not healed, Trophimus was not healed... at least it is not recorded in Scriptures, only their sickness.

It seems that the gift of miraculous healing was manifested rather for the sake of spreading the gospel into new territories, instead of being some personal guarantee of health for all Christians.

Paul was not healed, Timothy was not healed, Trophimus was not healed... at least it is not recorded in Scriptures, only their sickness.

Paul was stoned and left for dead numerous times and yet he got up healed and continued his ministry.

Timothy just had an upset tummy from dirty water and used a very small amount of fermented wine for his stomach's sake and I have looked in to Trophimus guy is yet. If he failed to receive healing he must have been ignorant of God's promises or lacked vision / understanding since God says His people perish for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) and where there is no vision / understanding the people perish (Proverbs 29:18)

Christians are called to be like Jesus and not like any of the fellows you mentioned and Jesus never got sick.

In short you appear to have decided God's promises for healing are not for you. That's too bad for you as you apparently seek to be like someone other than Jesus Christ as God's Word teaches. The Apostle Paul believed and walked in Psalm 34:19

Psalm 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

2 Timothy 3:10,11
But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of
them all the Lord delivered me.

2 Corinthians 1:8-10
For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of
measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

Jesus is our Lord and Savior, He is the One was are called to be like and to follow... not Paul, so why not look at Jesus and
be like Him???

Or go ahead and lay down and let the devil walk all over you believing God's miraculous power has passed away and He doesn't heal anymore which sadly is the lie the devil has sold to many that they got by following carnal minded religion instead of believing God's promises. These are "glass half empty" people.

Biblical example of a primitive medical advice.

Not a command for the entire Body of Christ. And obviously Timothy did not follow God's promises for healing.

Either Timothy is in error or God lied about His will for His people to have a way to be well thru His power.
I'll stick with Timothy being in error.

But many have been tricked b y the devil by this to ignore God's promises concerning health and healing.

That's too bad for them because the old devil is gonna strap on some sickness and disease on these folks

Divine Health, Physical and Mental Well-being

Proverbs 4:20-23 (see John 8:51, Proverbs 5:1,2, James 1:22… Most Christians don’t do this – BIG MISTAKE!)
Attend to My words; incline your ear unto My sayings....let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart....for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh....keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it flow the forces of life.

Psalms 91:9,10 (see Luke 10:19, 1 John 2:6, James 4:7)
Because you have made the LORD, which is My refuge, even the most High, your habitation;
There shall no evil fall upon you, neither shall any plague come near your household.

(only applicable to those that have submitted their lives to the Lord, walking in the Spirit by allowing God's Word to remain IN them… have I made the Lord my habitation? Am I living IN CHRIST by allowing Him to live in Me?)

1 Peter 2:24
Jesus carried our sins in his own body on the cross, so that we, being dead to sin, should live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes you were healed.

Matthew 8:17
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Isaiah 53:4, 5
Jesus has carried our grief (pain, anxiety, calamity, disease, sickness), and carried our sorrows (anguish, affliction, feelings of pain, sadness and sorrow): yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted....but He was wounded (to wound, to break, be slain or killed) for our transgressions, He was bruised (crush, destroy, oppress, to collapse) for our iniquities: the punishment (violence, rebuke) of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (He took our wounds, so we could take his wholeness & health in every area of life)

James 5:14,15
Is any sick among you? (there shouldn’t be) let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (Unfortunately, it’s near impossible now to find elders that follow God’s Word that know how to pray the prayer of faith… so one MUST learn how to pray / receive directly from the Lord for themselves!... God never mentions calling a physician but instead says "the prayer of faith shall save the sick")

Exodus 15:26
If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in His sight, and will give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will not put (allow) any diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that heals you. (Walk in the Spirit – See Romans 8)

Exodus 23:24-26
You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do their works: but you shall utterly overthrow them, and destroy their images (cast down imaginations and every high thing, see 2 Corinthians 10:5)
And you shall serve Adonai your God, and He shall bless your food and drink; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: and you will live out the full span of your lives.

James 4:3
You ask, and receive not, because you ask wrongly, that you may use for your own fleshly desires.
*Some ask for healing with no intention of walking with the Lord (being led by His Word) and ask for themselves for their own selfish motives not being in agreement with the Lord’s purpose for their lives which is to live their lives separated unto Him (Holy) departing from the desires of this world being in agreement with Him.

James 1:5-7
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, in spite of their faults; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed… For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Romans 8:11
But IF the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you (allowed to live in us), He that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also quicken (energize, make alive) your mortal body by His Spirit that lives in you. (see 2 Corinthians 3:17 – where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, freedom.. this includes healing!)

I'm a believer in biblical healing, and I've seen evidence that it works. But I've also seen good Christians die from sickness and disease. Why weren't they healed and others were? I don't know. Getting healed is not always a simple matter. If it were, the hospitals would be empty. The point is, sometimes it's prudent to see a doctor, especially if it's serious. If you've ever been really sick or in pain, you'll want all the help you can get. Granted, sometimes even doctors are not enough, that's where prayers come in, but there's nothing wrong with attacking sickness by every means available.

But I've also seen good Christians die from sickness and disease.

I have too and have spent years listening to the Lord as to why this is.

I found out they don't know how to handle the Word of God skillfully.

The problem is not God refusing to heal people as the devil claims as he lies about this to anybody that will listen.

Getting healed is not always a simple matter. If it were, the hospitals would be empty.

No, remember the majority of people don't walk with the Lord

sometimes it's prudent to see a doctor, especially if it's serious.

IF one wants to put their trust in the darkened wisdom of mankind.

That's like someone investing their money by gambling at a casino verses making wise investments decisions

Trusting medical science is definitely like rolling the dice at a casino.

If you've ever been really sick or in pain

I have, several times and God delivered me each time and I stand on His Word.

Before I got saved I got the flu every every year and now I have no had the flu in about 30 years

And before anybody asks, yes of course I'll die someday but I won't be sick, busted and disgusted when I go.

I'll leave when the Lord is done with me which is a minimum of 70 years and since I'm strong in the Lord I'll go after 80

Psalm 90:10
The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years

Point being in between now and when I leave this world I'm not going to be sick or disabled. disagree.gif

sometimes even doctors are not enough, that's where prayers come in

That's what people do, they trust doctors first before the Lord and only after they learn that medical science cannot do anything for them then as a last resort that call upon the Lord

That is a form of idolatry to believe in the wisdom and abilities of fallen mankind before believing in the Lord.

That's a great way to get NOTHING from the Lord as it's being double minded.

James 1:3-7
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience (constancy) have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

A very big part of learning how to receive from the Lord is walking in His Wisdom.

I've heard numerous people claim "God gave us doctors"
I heard God call me to be a doctor....of Chiropractic. I had never even been to one. I was married, one baby and was a construction foreman who had, just a couple months earlier, been offered the position of partnership in the company I worked for. I prayed about it and God said "NO!"

I was doing well as a foreman, I loved my job and was happy to retire in that position. But after that "NO!"; from that moment on I lost that satisfaction and was becoming concerned as to why that peace was gone. We had even started building a new house. After living in that house for 3 months, I got the call to become a Chiropractic doctor, physician.

I wasn't just a cecessionist believer either. We prayed for the sick, infirm anyone for whatever (mostly poor results like all the church). QUESTION; How often do you even get asked to pray for someone because they've heard of your success?

I remember seeking God concerning your very claim above saying; "God why would you want me to become a Dr?" His answer shocked me, but makes perfect sense. "My children don't have the FAITH to believe in healing." I had to agree, and that was as a tongue talking bible believing who just assumed I hadn't grown up and become as mature as Oral Roberts and Kenneth Hagin and Derek Prince, all who were....shall I say, IDOLS of mine in the faith.

Yes, Luke was a physician but there is no scripture showing where he keeping practicing medicine after he started walking with Jesus. All the other disciples quit their profession to follow Jesus full time.
Jesus gave up being a carpenter....so you going to live in a tent, because;
Paul actually worked as a tentmaker, as an apostle? his former profession.
4-6 apostles were fisherman....so you going to suggest all "Christians"
So much for
Can you prove from scripture that the Lord is instructing His people to trust in the wisdom and abilities of man, which is what practicing medical science is seeing it's mostly experimentation at it's best, rather than trusting the Lord for health coupled with God's Wisdom such as eating good, exercising, getting plenty of rest, not engaging is worry and anxiety or sin, etc?
Nope, I can't prove from scripture that they shouldn't either. :Broadly:

I don't see anywhere in scripture where the Lord gives His people a call to action to go to doctors trusting in man's wisdom / ability rather than trusting in God's promises for healing in His Word.
Back in Bible times, medicine was mostly herbal remedies from God’s pharmacy, which is why Jesus could say what he did, here....
”Later as he was dining in the house, look! many tax collectors and sinners came and began dining with Jesus and his disciples. 11  But on seeing this, the Pharisees said to his disciples: “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12  Hearing them, he said: “Healthy people do not need a physician, but those who are ill do.” (Matt 9:10-12)

In our day, medicine has shifted to science, and manufactured synthetic chemicals that they call “drugs” to not cure illness, but to prolong it for profit.....it’s an industry, part of satan’s world system of exploitation and greed. But as has been mentioned, it has its upside as well.....repairing a broken body after an accident cannot be done with wishful thinking. Heart attacks and strokes are also something treatable if caught early.

The medical profession has its place as long as know where to draw the line when it comes to the ridiculous amounts of medication they want to prescribe these days....and the vaccinations they want to promote as the world becomes sicker and sicker.

The “Faith healing” taking place today is a far cry from that seen in Jesus’ day. (Matt 8:14-16; Luke 6:18-19) There are failures, which did not occur back then, and there is also the “placebo effect” which medical science recognises but cannot explain....the body’s response to positive thinking. It’s the reason why they have to do double blind studies to test the effectiveness of their drugs to control symptoms....which is virtually all they are good for, since they cure nothing.

The other thing that most people miss is that only unbelievers were cured.....to bring them to Christ....no believers or apostles ever cured themselves or other believers.

Yeah, some may need to be patched up if they were in an accident. The Lord has taught me that it's better to pay attention to avoid accidents and believe in His divine protection as to never need to be patched up from having an accident.
Praise God you have avoided quality time in the ER !
Back in August I visited a Level One Trauma Unit , praise God the doctors and nurses were there to help with the repair and healing process , I am still healing as we speak .

They are literally trusting in the carnal wisdom of man trying to heal apart from the Lord as we see no promises in God's Word that God gave us doctors or that God is going to assist the carnal wisdom of man trying to heal apart from the Lord
What if I told you the doctor's wisdom does not heal you and no one is healed apart from the Lord ? Surely the doctors can practice their medicine on you but the healing comes from God , the design of our body is where the healing comes from , a lot of good doctors know this .
God has worked a miracle in me that I am still here with you on this forum , the Doctors were God's instruments of healing as they put me back together with screws and rods . The doctors are amazed that I still function as well as I do .

And before anybody asks, yes of course I'll die someday but I won't be sick, busted and disgusted when I go.
I pray your prophecy holds up .

"They did not follow God's promises for healing" sounds like a coping mechanism invented by a member of a Pentecostal church or of some similar "health, money and authority" group.

If even the apostles and their closest friends were not always healed in the New Testament, there is no basis for saying to today's modern Christians to not use appropriate medical care and to rely on miracles only.

Paul did not write to Timothy "for your frequent ailments, follow God's promises". Paul wrote "for your frequent ailments, use wine".

the “placebo effect” which medical science recognises but cannot explain.
Not sure what you mean by "cannot explain". It is a well understood thing.

When people expect a treatment to work, that belief activates brain circuits (prefrontal cortex, anterior cingulate) that modulate perception and behavior, reducing symptom reports like pain or fatigue. Positive expectations can trigger real neurochemical changes: increased endogenous opioids and dopamine for pain and reward, and modulation of neurotransmitters (serotonin, endocannabinoids) in some conditions. This can cause better sleep, better sleep can mean better digestion or better regeneration and so on and so forth, well understood chain of natural events.

The changed brain chemistry has a mild effect, but does not cure a serious problem like advanced cancer alone. That is why treatments must be more effective than just placebo or else such study failed. That is the whole point of using placebo in studies. To test the real effect of the studied treatment.

@Big Boy Johnson ,

God forbid but, are you so certain that you just cannot be injured by another? Sitting at a red light and a truck comes along and runs into you, you get hurt and maybe lose the ability to say, walk anymore...you have zero control over that. What about hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis and such? The Lord does not keep us from these things and we cannot be so certain that NOTHING will ever befall us, and please do not blame the Christian for lacking faith OR being ignorant of the words of Jesus. My mother who was THE MOST faithful, God fearing, loyal, loving, gentle bible believing and studier of the bible was taken at the age of 59 from us because she or her children did not have the faith to believe in His healing?? I will NEVER accept that...you did not know her and myriad others who were taken too soon because of sickness or trauma and who were faithful, believing Christians.

"And before anybody asks, yes of course I'll die someday but I won't be sick, busted and disgusted when I go."

Never say never.

Just my take brother, don't get all hot under the collar, :Broadly:

Jesus healed conditions that the doctors of the time could do nothing for (and in most cases still can't): paralysis, epilepsy, blindness, etc.

Note that God doesn't normally work miracles when humans have the resources to do the job themselves. The Israelites were fed with manna only while they were in the wilderness and had no other source of food. When they were attacked by enemies, they usually had to muster an army (however small) as well as trusting God for victory.

Finally, our original commission was to "subdue the earth". That includes sicknesses. It's no accident that modern science (including medicine) arose in mainly Christian societies.

"My children don't have the FAITH to believe in healing."

Which of course is why most Christians have the same problems with sickness and disease destroying them as those out in the world (non Christians)

Nope, I can't prove from scripture that they shouldn't either

I can. I posted God's promises.

Sadly many Christians have no interest in standing on God's promises.

God says His people perish for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) and where there is no vision / understanding the people perish (Proverbs 29:18). Oh well...to bad so sad.

the doctors and nurses were there to help

Yes, they mean well but they are limited to the wisdom and abilities of fallen, blind mankind.

I'll stand with the Lord before standing with mankind trying to get people well apart from the Lord using darkened wisdom that has led man to reject the Lord or to follow carnal minded religious teachings from the devil that are in opposition to what the Lord teaches in His Word.

That's just me. Everyone else is going to do whatever it is they are going to do and I won't be joining them.

no one is healed apart from the Lord ?

This is true no thanks to medical science

At it's very best medical science is nothing more than experimentation.

God knows what He's doing, they do not.

Surely the doctors can practice their medicine on you but the healing comes from God

No, they won't be "practicing" (experimenting) on me.

the design of our body is where the healing comes from

Ignore God's promises containing the power that comes from His Word at your own peril.

"They did not follow God's promises for healing" sounds like a coping mechanism invented by a member of a Pentecostal church or of some similar "health, money and authority" group.

That's what those that reject God's promises always say.

If even the apostles and their closest friends were not always healed in the New Testament, there is no basis for saying to today's modern Christians to not use appropriate medical care and to rely on miracles only.

Yeah, obviously some of the Apostles friends and family were faithless and refuses to stand on God's Word. That's too bad for them.

Paul did not write to Timothy "for your frequent ailments, follow God's promises". Paul wrote "for your frequent ailments, use wine".

Sounds like you have found a little snippet of scripture to stand on that in your mind proves God's promises aren't true.

According to your faith it shall be done unto you. You shall reap what you sow, Enjoy.

When people expect a treatment to work

And when the treatment does not work and they are about to die, only then do they try to call upon the Lord for healing.

That's something that rarely works because they person is double minded having put the wisdom and ability of fallen mankind before the Lord and are calling on the Lord after they find out the experimentation of medical science has failed and they are about to die.

treatments must be more effective

And so much of the time their "treatments" fail but someone still has to pay for their failures.

God forbid but, are you so certain that you just cannot be injured by another?

Is the hand of the Lord shortened that He cannot deliver?

Your question is not from the Holy Spirit and the HS does not lead anyone to not believe God's promises.

That kind of questioning comes from dark spirits not from the Lord.

you have zero control over that.

That's just what you think!

Have you not studied what the scripture teaches about divine protection?

Or do you think that "passed away" with healing?

What about hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis and such?

I do similar to what Jesus did when the storms approach... I tell them to go around my house and I forbid destructive weather from damaging my property using the Mighty all powerful Name of Jesus Christ.

The Lord does not keep us from these things

For those no standing on His promises, He does not.

But He certainly does for me! 2thumbs-up.gif

please do not blame the Christian for lacking faith OR being ignorant of the words of Jesus.

Who should we blame than, God? The devil?

God watches over His Word to perform it, so we know it's not Him.

The devil has been defeated and God gave Christians authority over the devil who Jesus said came to steal kill and to destroy (John 10:10)

You lack understand of how God's Kingdom works

God says His people perish for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) and where there is no vision / understanding the people perish (Proverbs 29:18). Argue with the Lord about it. Meanwhile I'll be standing on His Word firm refusing to move forcing satan to move away

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The definition if resisting the devil is submitting to the Lord and sadly thru carnal minded religious teachings the devil has been able to deceive most in to not knowing how to walk in James 4:7 and so he does not have to leave their lives... he can slap these people around at will and they are clueless about how to stop it.

God fearing, loyal, loving, gentle bible believing and studier of the bible was taken at the age of 59 from us because she or her children did not have the faith to believe in His healing??

So you claim it was the Lord that FAILED to honor His Word in her situation?

Couldn't possibly have been someone else failing so it was the Lord that failed?

Maybe the devil was just too powerful and you think the Lord was powerless to stop him?

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I will NEVER accept that...you did not know her and myriad others who were taken too soon because of sickness or trauma and who were faithful, believing Christians.

Well, then continue in confusion about the situation...

Never say never.

I will never say God's is not watching over His Word to perform it.

you did not know her and myriad others who were taken too soon because of sickness or trauma and who were faithful, believing Christians.

Then you think this proves the hand of the Lord is short that He just can't hack it sometimes?
You think God decided to not honor His Word where they were concerned? I hope not because that's calling God a liar.

The problem with your statement here is I do know the Lord and I do know how the devil operates. I'm not ignorant of his devices. I was back when I was a baby Christian but not anymore! I learned better from God's Word.

Jesus is the standard I follow and the devil could make Him sick or cause Him to be injured. In fact Jesus has to allow Himself to die on the Cross. The devil couldn't kill Him because Jesus walked in God's strength and power in every part of His life so Jesus had to make Himself obedient unto death which of course He did for our sake.

Following carnal minded religious teaching rather than following what God's Word actually teaches is an open door the devil has in to their lives just like Job who had God's protection around him until he started walking in fear which caused God's hedge of protection come down. We can learn a lot about what NOT to do in Job's story

Note that God doesn't normally work miracles when humans have the resources to do the job themselves.

Reckon it's the will of God that mankind ignores Him and lives on his own apart from the Lord?

It's no accident that modern science (including medicine) arose in mainly Christian societies.

And it's a failure more times than not.

It is in fact the wisdom and ability of fallen man trying to provide for himself apart from God.

Don't know where you get that idea from

I've been watching mankind trying to heal without the Lord for years and they fail so many times.

You should pay closer attention to all those that claim they cancer... few of them survive

Because medical science is nothing more than experimentation that you still have to pay for when it fails to heal.

But hey, if you choose to put your trust in mankind before trusting the Lord then that's your right.

I'm going to put the Lord first and foremost in my life and not get sickness or disease to start with thumbsup2.gif

Divine Prevention is always better than trying to cure using the blind mind of mankind

Yes, they mean well but they are limited to the wisdom and abilities of fallen, blind mankind.
Wisdom comes from God .
Proverbs 2:6
6For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Since I have established wisdom comes from God we now know the doctors and nurses are not limited as you say they are .
Do know there are actually Christian doctors , nurses and other medical professionals ?
Are you going to tell me that God does not use them to help facilitate healing ?
I'll stand with the Lord before standing with mankind trying to get people well apart from the Lord using darkened wisdom that has led man to reject the Lord or to follow carnal minded religious teachings from the devil that are in opposition to what the Lord teaches in His Word.
I will explain again to you there IS NO healing apart from the Lord . Here is why I say this , the Lord is the Architect , Designer and Creator of our body . There is NO WAY the doctors can heal us on their own , they can only repair and apply medicine with their knowledge and wisdom . The healing features of our body come from the Good Lord .
The doctors understand this .

@Big Boy Johnson , do you understand there is no healing apart from God ? Or do you need even more explanation ?
At it's very best medical science is nothing more than experimentation.

God knows what He's doing, they do not.
To suggest that God has never given insight to medical professionals is statement you have absolutely no proof of .
No, they won't be "practicing" (experimenting) on me.
FYI for you , you might want to think about a tattoo to that effect of preempting treatment . Heaven forbid , If medical professionals or even trained first responders happen to come upon a passed out unresponsive @Big Boy Johnson they will begin "practicing " on you , implied consent they call it .
