I dislike the fact that soon after Iran is neutralized Israel will become a superpower in the region and control mostly all the commerce and resources because there will be no tangible threat to them. At one point they will no longer need the U.S. and I can't imagine what will be in store for us ( or the world for that matter).

I disagree.

When Egypt decided that they wanted peace with Israel there was peace.

When Jordan decided that they wanted peace with Israel there was peace.

Israel is NOT the problem.

Boy that settles it! No need to go any further!
But seriously, you should examine what Palestine was like before 1948 and then tell me who the problem is.

The State of Israel has did a lot of good for that Land.
If They did not have that Land what would it be now, nothing !

In regards the Land, Islam is the major problem. Sure the Jews are not nice ? but how can they be nice when one has rat bagges like Islamic nut cases being total morons 24/7.

The State of Israel is Democratic, that's a good thing in that part of the world. such has hope !

All Socialist and Communist and Islamic idiots love to be Dominated over by morons !

Oh but Communist and Socialist nowadays claim to be Democratic Socialist ! Haha what a smoke screen of deception.

Problem with the State of Israel is that it's not worthy of the OT ! if it was truly worthy all would be impressive but for the freek show of Gays ect ect that should be killed under OT Law. So that the State has a chance to be Great ! and not depraved or sick pathetic claim of the OT ?

I would be proud of a OT Israel and would then like to go their for a holiday say. as they would have hope of becoming a real NT Israel !

What does it matter what we think of Israel?

What does God think of Israel? If God was with them, they would need no one else’s protection....they would have peace and his blessing.....is that what you see...or just the opposite?

That speaks volumes....if you know how to interpret Scripture....

I believe that God is always in control. I believe that God has a plan for all people. I believe that God has, at times, removed his blessing from Israel and Jewish people and has allowed bad things to happen to them. Call it judgment. However, I believe that God remains committed to saving the Jewish people (and everyone else) through his son, Jesus. Their story is by no means finished. Jesus WILL save all Jews as well as all people in accordance with God's timeline.

I’m a big time Zionist. I grew up very close to an aunt who was Jewish.

I've never been friends with or closely known any Jewish people. I have, however, been a keen student of history and of current events ever since my mother bought me a globe when I was about 8. Accordingly, it is perfectly clear to me that Israel and its Jews are, for the most part, righteous people who struggle with sin just like the rest of us. They absolutely have the God-given RIGHT to live in peace. I also believe that the best thing for all involved is that Israel govern the so-called "West Bank" and Gaza.

That is a nice thought...but it is not what Scripture teaches at all....Jesus ransomed the ones whom God sent to him (John 6:44;65) and those worthy ones in the grave.....So yes, God is always in control of who is permitted entry into his Kingdom and who is not.

If you want to go and permanently reside in a nation not your own, what are the requirement for you to become a citizen of that country? Do the authorities have the right to deny you residence if you fail to meet their criteria? Does God have lesser standards than the wicked nations on earth?

What do you think God’s Kingdom is?

Do you believe that Jesus will succeed in his mission to unite all things to himself as described here?

Ephesians 1:7-10
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known[c] to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

'm just curious as to how many of my "Christian" brethren despise Israel.
Nobody despises Israel.
It's the politics.
Just like every other country.
The name Israel (the country) does not stand for a passport to do whatever they wish.
------------------------------------------------------------------
(Btw., not the country....Israel stands for the church.)

I would have to pick "neutral" if that is even possible.

I can't be pro "Israel"/Zionism because they doing/done alot of wrong things in the world and in Israel/Palestine (just one example is the Jewish disgusting gentile-aimed humour in Happy Gilmore 2), and they have not accepted Yeshua/Jesus. They want a world peace messiah that is not Yeshua. Bible implies that only 1/3rd of Jews will be saved in tribulation.

I can't be anti Israel because of the "I will bless those that bless you and curse those who curse you" and what happened to Haman. We owe alot to the good OT Jews; Jesus and the bible, patriarchs, prophets, apostles etc are Jewish.

I can't be anti Palestine/Islam/Iran/etc because they are not all bad/wrong only some/alot of them, and they have suffered wrongs too.

I can't be pro Palestine/Islam/Iran because of alleged terrorism and jihad etc against Jews and Christians.

I guess I have to treat them both as Jesus would have me treat them: love, truth, etc.
