Questions for Jehovah's Witnesses Regarding the Memorial

I have 2 questions for any Jehovah's Witnesses here regarding the Memorial.

How does the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses come up with the date for the Memorial?

I have an acquaintance who is one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and when I asked him, he eventually became indignant. He posted an invitation to the memorial on his Facebook account, which the Witnesses will observe on April 2nd. I asked him 2 questions:

1. How does the Society come up with the memorial date? Nissan 14 lands on Wednesday, April 1st, making the Memorial on the 31st of March. The Witnesses observe the Memorial on Thursday, April 2nd.
2. The Memorial was a special, solemn occasion between Jesus and His disciples. Why are Witnesses inviting everyone? What Scriptural support do you have for inviting everyone?

You will almost never get a truthful answer from a JW! I speak from years of experience. All they know is what the WatchTower tells them.
