Well the Old Testament told the Israelites that the Messiah would be a human warlord King that would destroy their oppressors and establish his kingdom forever and place the Israelites/Jews in power over the whole world and the Mosaic Laws and sacrifices would last forever. The Old Testament did not teach of a devil or Hell.
Yeshua did not fit this description and that is not what happened so a lot of the Jews back then and today do not believe that Yeshua was the Messiah. And today the Jews do not believe in a devil or Hell.
So Christians have to comb through the Old Testament scriptures for verses that will fit the bill so to speak. Which usually means inserting words that are not in the scriptures and plucking verses out of context from the middle of a storyline.
Of course Yeshua is a God and the Messiah but the question is what changed?
