Separation of church and state means federal government cannot establish an official Church of America.

If prayer is allowed in schools, it will not be just Christian prayers. Other faiths will demand equal time.

I think if everyone had a closet it would avoid a lot of confusion.

Separation of Mosque and State a Red Herring.

Will you feel the same way when the Muslims have a voting majority and try to impose sharia on the community and impose the jizyah tax on Christians?
Revelation 13 isn't about Islam. It's about a counterfeit Christian church, the Papal church (the first beast) and a fallen apostate American Protestant church that forms the image to the papacy...a union whereby the church dominates and influences the state to enforce worship as defined by Rome.

Your ignorance on the counterfeit religion is showing badly. Islam, whose core sediment is that "Jesus is not the Son of God."

God's foundation is that Jesus is the Son of God.

The RCC does acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, but they do so very badly.

Dearborn Public Schools, serving a high percentage of Muslim students, heavily supports Islamic needs through district-wide halal dining, Ramadan Iftar meal initiatives, and accommodating student-led prayer, often in collaboration with community organizations. The Council on American Islamic Relations of Michigan (CAIR-MI) staff recently met with Dearborn Public Schools Superintendent Brian Whiston to discuss concerns from some parents regarding prayer accommodations in Dearborn Public Schools.

Dearborn Public Schools has implemented a policy which fully accommodates student-led prayer in all the schools, as well as unexcused absences for students who leave early on Fridays for Jumu’ah prayers. CAIR-MI is currently in discussion with Melvindale Public Schools to get similar accommodations for students that are now in place for Dearborn Public Schools

Of course, because the "schools" are run by unbelievers. Imagine a believer, appearing before Caesar's traffic court, awaiting judgement by unbelievers! Likewise with Caesar's public schools. We send our children to the godless government/corporate indoctrination centers for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and then commiserate when they turn out to be like the unbelievers of the world.

It's the father's responsibility to raise godly seed - not the godless State's.

Well, well, well. That's all very interesting. A very well elucidated defense of dominionism and the reasoning to justify the concept.
and
Most unfortunate.
Dominionism is akin to [etc. etc. etc.]
The truth will not be pigeonholed into your label, your "concept," of "dominion theology."

God's people [are] forbidden to mix with the state.
Of course, as I stated. We bear witness to the debris of that disobedience all around us.

In order to sustain your arguments, you must ignore Jesus, Who clearly stated that God's kingdom was not of this world but within each and every one of us who have received Him, and that we are not to invade Babylon and take over her dominion, but to come out of her and call others out.
Rather, there is no Lawful authority but the King himself. All others are pretenders, usurpers who seek to climb up some other way (John 10).

Not to enter and take over.
This is not about any takeover. I never presumed such, but here you are, with your strawman, presuming I did. Again, to clarify, God would not have us settle for a bible study in the basement of the brothel; he commanded us to set our own city on a hill.

The gospel of the kingdom is not political.
Of course.

That the civil government power, authority, and laws are being used to establish God's kingdom on earth cries aloud and testifies to the scarcity of the holy Spirit working in the churches of America today. They have abandoned Christ and are looking to man to institute Godliness and righteousness. That isn't the gospel.
Indeed. And the word "civil" does not even appear in the Holy Bible; it is another invention of men.

Your conscience does not belong to you that you should decide what is truth. Nor should the state, or the church. It is not your own. Hebrews 9:14. It is not up to the state to guide anyone's conscience. It is up to God. His word is the final arbiter and final authority as to what is truth.
Yep.

The state does not hold authority over anyone to decide their eternal future and destiny by interpreting scripture and then legislating it in order to establish a self motivated fake theocracy.
Indeed. Again, in case you missed it:
There is only one lawgiver (James 4:12). This one lawgiver is the Lord (Isaiah 33:22). Man does not have authority to make laws, but only the authority to make ‘ordinances’ which enforce Laws already in existence, which are the Laws of God. To obey the so-called ‘laws’ conjured up by the worldly governing authorities is to set aside the gospel of our Lord, and place oneself under a separate government, other than his.

What you would be attempting to implement is a carbon copy of medieval Europe and the papal control over people's minds and hearts. You know how that turned out. And need I mention the Revelation 13 protestant image to the Papal beast now being erected in America which you are advocating on this thread?
"Medieval Europe"? "Papal beast"? You need to remove the anti-RCC blinders and actually reply cogently to what is being "advocat[ed] on this thread".

@doctrox did you read this, and do you understand the concept as presented in the Declaration of Independence and how the principles behind it cannot support any union of church and state?
To experience true liberty in Christ, one must look deeper than man's "declaration of independence", which is merely another worldly contract signed by men that can be altered and renegotiated at any time.

The "separation of church and state" is a lie - a seductive doctrine of men that exalts itself above God - not withstanding the RCC (or the SDA!).

I mean, I know it looks innocent right?
Halal.
But in order for meat to be Halal, when they slaughter an animal they have to invoke the name of Allah.
Which made me think of food offered to idols.

1 Corinthians chapter 8.

Just saying.

Yes, "separation of church and state" sounds like it could be the answer to the problem, but it's just another moving part of the problem. The end never justifies the means.

We errantly think the answer lies with politics. Folks are obsessed with salvation through politics.

The responsibility of raising children lies with the father and mother of that child, and it is unscriptural to place that responsibility upon others, especially the soulless State:

Ephesians 6:4, "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."

God commands the parents to raise their children, not ungodly strangers in some school run by Caesar. Do schools bring our children up in the fear and admonition of the Lord? On the contrary, they outlaw prayer from its schools, forbid the Ten Commandments from being taught, and in its place teach the false theory of evolution. Schools teach our children that they're beasts, and have evolved from some primordial ooze, to a sub-human creature, into the animal they now are. They are just one of the many kinds of animals inhabiting this little globe called earth. So we shouldn't be surprised when they behave like animals; children killing other children for tennis shoes or jackets, or because they believe they have been somehow wronged by their victims; stealing and killing for all kinds of selfish motivations; or, when these children turn into adults, using whatever means they can find to advance their careers, their "wants," not caring who they hurt in the process.

It requires a strong, perhaps tyrannical, government to control that kind of a population -- like the one currently fomenting in USA. Governments are always glad to oblige (witness the OP). Maybe that's why they don't like to see prayer and scripture reading in schools. Maybe that's why they insist that schools teach we are just another animal in the long chain of the evolutionary process.

Rather, touch not the unclean thing.

If wasn't always this way.

People would travel by wagon from one end of the country to the other. Sometimes in packs, sometimes alone, just the family.
Eventually enough people would gather and they would make a town.
Not everyone was literate. A lot of people didn't know how to read or write.
Those that come from more educated places, like the first cities, Boston, Chicago, New York, decided to head west and see what happens.
They brought knowledge with them. They brought reading, writing, arithmetic, science, medicine, etc.
So they would build small houses and bring the children and sometimes adults too, to teach them.

They had skills like carpentry and smithing, metal shops and seamstresses.
What good is a Land Deed if you can't read it?
How do you charge for services is you can't count?

The system today is created to destroy minds not educate them.
We got hijacked a long time ago.
Now we have to fix it.
It won't be easy. And there are a lot of people that like the status quo.

But it will be fixed.

Hugs

Separation of church and state is the answer to prevent the government from establishing a single authorized church, like is done in tyrannical Communist China. Or the Church of America.

Public schools are for teaching, not preaching. They are for secular education, not religious indoctrination.

But today, public schools are for socialist, transgender, Big Pharma, evolution brainwashing.

The solution for schools is not religion, but returning to discipline and basic math, science, reading, writing, gardening, civics, ethics, and self-reliance.

If you try to get religion and prayer into public schools, you will have Hindu, Muslim, Wicca, Scientology, Buddhism, Norse mythology, and other faiths demanding equal time.

Rather, separation of the believer from the world of the unbeliever is the answer.

Public schools are for teaching, not preaching. They are for secular education, not religious indoctrination.
So why would any believer expose his child to such a place? Why would a believer pursue any thing "secular"?

The solution for schools is not religion, but returning to discipline and basic math, science, reading, writing, gardening, civics, ethics, and self-reliance.
The schools are founded on the premise that there is no God. The believer is not to be found within them.

If you try to get religion and prayer into public schools, you will have Hindu, Muslim, Wicca, Scientology, Buddhism, Norse mythology, and other faiths demanding equal time.
Of course.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Because kids do not go to public schools to get religion. They go to school to get skills to get a job.
"Religion" and "job" are to be cut from the same Godly cloth. Do you recognize the danger of handing our children off to anything godless?

I have three home birthed and home schooled daughters, completely unpapered. They are appropriately skilled and are ready to start their families with worthy men.

"Getting a job" implies that they do not already have one, assigned before they were born, by a Creator God. Similar to public school attendance, "getting a job" requires handing them off to the unbelieving world, to become a part of that world. My daughters are better than that, as per the Lord.

Well, well, well. That's all very interesting. A very well elucidated defense of dominionism and the reasoning to justify the concept. Most unfortunate.
Dominionism is akin to the descendants of Noah creating a common language in order to continue with the construction of the tower of Babel. What God has divided man is attempting to unite through ecumenism, globalism, and dominionism.
In Daniel 2:41-43 we read that in the feet of the statue, there is present both iron, which represents Rome, and clay, which represents God's people. (See Jeremiah 18:1-6). God has made it impossible for iron and clay to mix, and the metaphor applies directly to God's people forbidden to mix with the state. In fact, in contradiction to what you stated above, God punished Israel for mixing the two. Kings were not permitted to offer sacrifice, Saul being a classic example of disobedience. To do so was spiritual adultery... the church fornicating with the kings of the earth, as spoken of several times in Revelation.
In order to sustain your arguments, you must ignore Jesus, Who clearly stated that God's kingdom was not of this world but within each and every one of us who have received Him, and that we are not to invade Babylon and take over her dominion, but to come out of her and call others out. As I said above, any union of church and state is an image to the papal beast. And if you do not recognise the papacy as the Antichrist and beast of Revelation 13, i suggest you do some studying and stop being offended by biblical truth and Reformation doctrine.
This is not about any takeover.
Of course it is. The 7 mountain mandate is absolutely about invading the Babylonian empire and taking over control of society.
Indeed. And the word "civil" does not even appear in the Holy Bible; it is another invention of men.
Maybe not, Jesus had another name for it. Caesar.

So daughters are only fit to be housewives and baby producing machines?

Are sons only fit to be pastors and priests?
