Discernment is needed. There are rules and there are exceptions. If a nuclear warhead is coming at you at 30,000 mph, you don't have an opportunity to attack those who fired the missile. There are other scenarios throughout history for you to learn from, such as the Battle of Tours and the Siege of Malta and the American response after 9/11. In many examples, devout Christians by the Millions over the Centuries fought back against their attackers. Don't you think they wrestled with your questions and came to conclusions you do not share?

One Pastor said the entire Bible can be summarized by two words. These two words go against your cowardly and lazy ideology of pacifism: Choose Life. Muslim apologists, such as yourself, lament Muslim lives that had to be taken in order to not only save countless Christians but Christendom, itself. Read Hebrews 11, particularly v32-35a.

It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets. 33 By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. 35 Women received their loved ones back again from death.​

And compare it to the 2nd part of v35.

But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection.​

Discernment. The first group through faith were brought up in glory. "But others" glorified God by their faith through torture. Not all Christians are these 2nd group of "others." Some of God's prophets:​

1. overthrew kingdoms
2. ruled with justice
3. escaped death by the edge of the sword
4. Strong in Battle
5. Put Whole Armies to Flight

Discernment.

• Escaped death "by the edge of the sword" means they killed their attackers in the service of the Kingdom. Not through pacifism.
• "Strong in Battle" doesn't mean they avoided physical violence at all costs due to their pacifist ideology; it means they fought the good fight and with God's grace, were granted the strength to violently defeat God's enemies.
• "Put Whole Armies to Flight," is not achieved by embracing pacifist ideology but likewise, was by killing God's enemies in service of the Kingdom. See the military conquests of Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, etc.

Very importantly, we should consider Jesus's example:

Act 8:32 Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opens not his mouth.

It's also worth pointing out that, following Christ's example, in the whole of the NT, there is not only no example of believers ever fighting back, believers are commended for their patient endurance.
