I have never said this my friend.

Again, if your going to accuse. please show the post.

Post 246 you said

"Unfortunately. doing this will not have any part of where you will end up for eternity"

In response to me saying
"I choose to avoid bad deeds and do good deeds. And I ask for forgiveness for my bad deeds"

A child of God can not live in sin. even if they chose to (which they would never do)

Sure they can, especially if they think that faith alone will save them, then they can live however they please, full of sin

Yes, a child of God will be judged for their deeds.. and be rewarded or suffer loss

But you first said my deeds will not have any part of where I end up in eternity.
Now your saying they will.

Please show me where I said what you said

Well I showed you this already.
First point of this post.
Seems you have confused my last question for a statement. I'll ask again

If I have great faith but live a life of unrepentant sin, will I be saved?
Clue. James 2:26

That doesn't fit with what the angel said to Joseph:

(Mat 1:20 NKJV) But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
(Mat 1:21) And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

The angel did NOT say, "You shall call His name JESUS, for He will make salvation possible."
that does not exclude us!

mt 5:7 the merciful shall obtain mercy

mt 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Luke 7:47
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

1 Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Isa 53:3 by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.

why cos of union!

Yes it was in reference to you doing Good deeds.. and you asking forgiveness.

And my respons is that great but doing this will nto save you

But you have failed to show where I stated we can live in sin or have unrepentant sin.

can you please show where I said this

Sure they can, especially if they think that faith alone will save them, then they can live however they please, full of sin
John said a child of God can not live in sin.. so I am not sure who you are talking abouot

Also. if I truly repented, then I have truly confessed my sin is an abomination. so why would I want to sin. Even paul said he did nto want to sin.
But you first said my deeds will not have any part of where I end up in eternity.
Now your saying they will.
No. I have never said this..

once again, you show you do not understand what I believe
Well I showed you this already.
First point of this post.
Seems you have confused my last question for a statement. I'll ask again

If I have great faith but live a life of unrepentant sin, will I be saved?
Clue. James 2:26
If I am born of God I can not live in sin, because Gods seed remains in me

So your question is invalid. Also. james does not talk about unrepentent sin. he talks about people who CLAIM to have faith. but have never done a good work of righteousness since then (they have no work)

What do you mean by "this"? A Christian confidently knowing that they are saved because of the completed work of Christ? If that is what you meant, I would say now, not after death and judgment. John wrote to his Christian readers:

(1Jn 5:13 NKJV) These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

A sinner cannot have eternal life if they are not saved.
by this I mean eternal salvation

yes we can have eternal life which is grace without eternal salvation!

Jn 1:16
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Jn 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

did you think repeating the same post was going to help you? the answers did not change. Can you respind to the answers?

Ah. So its like the OT animal sacrifices. where an animal was substituted in our place. and purchased our atonement and redemption

Yes.. Because he took what we owe. and he paid the prince in our place.

Yes. To work out our salvation, to practice it. To Make fruit.

Not to stay saved.

Did Jesus take all my sin. or just some of my sin?

Yes.

We are a union

He made atonement for my sin debt
He redeemed my by his blood
He saved me from Gods wrath
He justified me by his grace and mercy
He perfected me forever
He Gave me every spiritual blessing under heaven
He seated me in the heavenly places.
He has forgiven me all sin (becuse he paid for them on the cross)
He gave me the living water that endures to eternal life
He gave me the food which endures forever.

He gave me the promise he will never leave nor forsake me
He gave me the promise he will raise me onl the last day. I will not be delievered to him
He gave me the promise I will never die, I will live forever
He gave me the HS as a pledge or guarantee until the day of redemption
He is now my Abba Father.
He gave me not a spirit of fear. but a spirit of sound mind
He gave me hope. He gave me A father, He gave me a Spirit and he gave me a savior.
He gave me a home to look forward to. I am a stranger on this plant. This is not my home.. He is prepairing a place for me.

do you believe all these things or not?
I have asked this question before!

If Christ did it all and we can do nothing, why does scripture say we have to do it?

I believe John 15 is about producing fruit. It is about living our our salvation.

The law and all of the works of the law could not Cause God to forgive one sin.

do you think your works will do any better than the law could? What makes you think you are better than King David? Abraham? Or any of the prophets. Who were saved by trusting in God. not by any works..
I confess my worthlessness.
I myself am nothing.
I myself can do nothing.
I myself can have no merit, no supernatural value.

Jn 15:5 apart from me you can do nothing!

Phil 4:13 I can do all things in Christ!

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

By the grace of justification received by faith and baptism we have union with God thru Christ, in the communion of saints, empowered by grace and life in the spirit to attain to eternal salvation in glory!

Christ enables us to do it with Him!
Jn 1:16 of His fullness we have all received!

2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

1 Jn 1:6-7

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

I am 100% confident of my salvation because just after I was baptised in the Holy Spirit God gave me a personal song with the line "I am His till the end of time" And He keeps his promises.

Jn 15:1-5 abide in me...

1 Jn 1:6-7

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 Jn 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

2 pet 1:2-4

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 cor 13:1-2

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.

rom 5:5
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

1 John 5:11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Grace is Christ sharing His divine life with us!

((grace questions))

can we have eternal salvation and eternal salvation more abundantly?

Jn 10:10

Can we have eternal salvation that leads to eternal salvation?

Mt 7:14

Why are we promised eternal salvation if we possess eternal salvation?

Mk 10:30

Why have hope of eternal salvation if we possess eternal salvation?

titus 1:2
Eternal life

Eternal - Never ending, without end, Forever, everlasting

Life, as apposed to death. A ressurection has taken place. we who were sdead have been made alive

Eternity is the length of time this new life will last.

Sadly far to many churches have changed the meaning to mean something it it has never meant.

I have eternal life. John made it clear in 1 John 5 I can know I have it

Now if you want to try to earn it. Feel free.

But know you will fail.

Baptism. Judgment Day. Not the same day. No one but Christ has yet been resurrected into a glorified body.

Perhaps you are talking spiritual symbolism in this thread from our walk so far, whereas I'm talking about what has yet to pass?

I have asked this question before!

If Christ did it all and we can do nothing, why does scripture say we have to do it?
Thanks for your many thoughtful posts. In response to your question, all I read is a repeating of dogma, a non-responsive reply, especially in light where Scripture says there is a sin that no sacrifice (including Jesus' work on the cross) covers.

1 John 3:1-3 KJV
1) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

why do legalistic believers always act like pharisees and try to point the finger at certain sins?

Do you still sin? That what makes you any different than any of those people?

A child of God can not live in sin.

But they can still sin.

worry about your own sin, and not the sin of others.
the are different kinds of sins

sin not unto death: venial
not causing spiritual death

sin unto death: mortal
causing spiritual death
requiring repentance and confession
