Politics
the activities associated with the governance of a country or area, especially the debate between parties having power:
Act 23:6
But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men
and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
Act 23:8
For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.
Act 5:21
And when they heard
that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
I can't see how this isn't political.
They have a council and a Senate and a magistrate to put people in jail.
If this isn't politics what is?
Mat 23:23
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier
matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Scribes keep the minutes and they write the policies, Pharisees and Sadducees no different than Republicans and Democrats. debate the issues. Lawyers
Luk 11:46
And he said, Woe unto you also,
ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
How is this not political?
They create laws and penalties.
