And the idea that one only lists political leaders as a means to establish time is dismissed in importance as it is placed first

Sorry for chiming in on your conversation, but I think the fact that the political leaders are named and the time of their rule specified is very important, as I see it as holy Spirit inspired information that readers may know, understand, and appreciate fulfillment of prophecy. It is by that knowledge that we may work out the exact date of Jesus's baptism, which coincided with His being anointed as Messiah. This marked the beginning of His ministry. Exactly 69 weeks...483 years, since the commandment from Artexerxes giving Israel permission to rebuild, restore, and establish an independent nation with worship and civil rule....to Messiah the Prince. Daniel 9. Those times are crucial. It's the greatest single proof of Jesus being the true and only Messiah.
The apostle John was careful also to pinpoint the time of the crucifixion, the third Passover since Jesus entered His ministry...exactly 3 and a half years later... half way through the final week during which Israel alone was to witness the confirmation of the covenant, the first half week (symbolic) by Jesus in person, the second half week through the Holy Spirit working in the apostles. 70 weeks completed. No 7 years of tribulation or any such time to be found in the future as meeting prophecy.

Those opposed to Christian Nationalism and their claim that God is all about things NOT physical and NOT political are at odds with Luke 3. Excerpts:

1. Listed by name and area of political leaders of the day v1.
2. So important, it is put first in grappling with the soulful needs of the reader.
3. Wrath of God used to condemn political leaders and called them names that were not nice. v7
4. Responding to John’s preaching were tax collectors and soldiers; the only professions specifically called out were government agents. V 12-14
5. Confronted the king, getting John thrown in prison. V 19-20

How many religious leaders today are thrown into prison for calling out political leaders? Their silence is tacit approval of the evil done.

Elijah called out Ahab for his mixing church with state with Jezebel, a pagan princess committed to Baal.
John the Baptist (the second Elijah) called out Herod for his adulterous relationship with his sister in law. Also a union of church and state, a union presuming to have authority to kill God's messenger. Just as Jezebel thought. Notice also in Revelation 2 that Thyatira attracted a rebuke for entertaining a symbolic Jezebel. Thyatira was a literal local church in the first century, but also represented a church age running from 538 to 1798... the 1260 years of papal dominance on Europe. Also a union of church and state. BTW, women in prophecy represent the church. A fallen adulterous harlot such as was Jezebel, Herodias, and the papacy, all 3 joined with the state bringing the state to ruin. In the future, Babylon the Great, a composite of Catholic and fallen protestant churches will be riding the state beast enforcing the mark on all who refuse to bend the knee to Baal . That's where the current war against separation of church and state in heading.

No the TRUTH has been cast out . GODS words cast out , the gospel of JESUS cast out
and all in favor of a love god that accepts all as they are , calls evil good and good evil ,

I would like someone who knows what they are talking about to specifically define what Christian Nationalist is.

It seems to be a derogatory term aimed at believers who vote? I've noticed that the very same people on here who opposed voting for a president of the USA are the same ones now using this term.
So in your opinion- a believer should stay far away from anything having to do with the way their country is run?
I recall being told I worshipped Trump because I said I would vote for him. There are some ridiculous things said by you guys.
I was also told Trump is the antichrist. I mean, seriously? Pray for discernment. Your arguments lose all credibility when you say the things that you do.
So if there is a rational explanation for what a Christian Nationalist is and why you see that as such a horrible threat- please explain yourselves because all I see see is ignorance, accusations, fear, hypocrisy, legalism and extremism on both sides of this.
Surely, we can come together like reasonable people.

I understand the SDA position that @Brakelite has- I am not interested in that. It's been discussed and is based on an interpretation of a prophecy of Ellen White with whom I have no confidence in. No offense Brakelite, but it goes nowhere with me since I have looked into it all I care to- and far more than most people have.

@Nancy - does this have anything to do with your concerns about Noahide laws? if not- what is this about? Our country was founded by believers and many of our laws were based on the scriptures.
When believers don't vote- they only aid the unbelievers who vote-and the country goes lower and lower. WE do have to live here. We do have children and grandchildren. Why is it so wrong not to want them to have to live under subjection to the most wicked people?
Do you think it's a sin to vote?
Can we get to the real core of this? It seeps into the forum too often not to be understood clearly and as of yet, I see nothing but fears and false accusations. Thanks

Will the third Spirit of Elijah be recognised, and will the church repent? No. Although at his cry some of God's people who are in Babylon will come out. They are some who are crying aloud today and warning the world of the current dangers of joining church and state. Babylon in the form of the papacy is already fallen for centuries, the Protestant church in America is negotiating their fall with the current pretender on the throne: when that union is formalised, Babylon is fallen fallen.
