I'm a believer in Holy Laughter. Grew up in a Pentecostal church. Seen that in the wild.

Honestly, I've never seen anyone question it, outside of those who believe that all gifts have ceased.

Holy laughter is never listed in the Bible as a spiritual gift.

Holy laughter outbursts were not practiced by believers in the book of Acts.

Let all things be done decently and in order.

In fact, I am skeptical of ordinary laughter in general. It seems like laughing is a defense mechanism, for relieving tension.

Comedy films and standup comics are designed to generate appropriate laughter.

But spontaneous, uncontrollable outbursts of laughter in a church service are disruptive and not edifying.

According to their faith it shall be done unto them.

You've never seen anyone in scripture get extremely overjoyed with the Lord and express their joy?

In my experience, the laughter was neither spontaneous nor disruptive.

One may understand a thing by reading about it. One might know something by experiencing it. The man who understands will have a hard time convincing the one who knows.

What about when King David was dancing nekkid out in the streets praising and glorifying God?

His wife told him that was vulgar and David told her he was going to get more vulgar yet.

Was David engaging in sinful behavior while do this?

That's an excessive example but in no way takes away from the fact there is such a thing as holy laughter from the Holy Spirit. Just like speaking with tongues is abused in public settings does not mean the gift is not real.

A lot of folks don't even know that word of faith is a legitimate biblical doctrine because some have taken it to excess which helps the devil deceive people in to turning away from what God's Word teaches about it.

I've been in services back in the day when they said a "wave of holy laughter" was about to hit my side of the congregation and I didn't get anything. And yet in my private prayer time I have experienced the overflowing Joy of the Lord where I both laughed and cried tears of joy.

Much of the public display of this stuff is similar to the public preaching of eternal security and all future sins are already forgiven in that these are tools used to deceive people in to thinking a ministry is being used by God so they can claim "we're good ground to sow support in to" so they can take up bigger offerings and sell stuff.

Now days we don't see near as much holy laughter as we see "worship services" in the dark and theatrical performances on stage enticing people to believe the false doctrines of eternal security, all future sins are already forgiven, and the ecumenical movement all geared towards getting the gullible to join the social club and not only give money but to don ate their time so the "ministry" can have lots of free labor.

David was not dancing with his privy member showing .
HE cast off his garments and went down to the under garments .
So dont go running naked in the st reets just yet , LOL .
Whatever david was doing was NOT sinful . at least not at that time . Now his peek a boo and his
sleeping with another mans wife , getting her pregnant and then trying to convince her husband to go home
So david could pin the baby on him , AND THEN worst of all , having him killled . NOW THAT WAS SIN .
And david paid a price , a huge price for it . BUT he did REPENT and still no matter how the sword chased him
NEVER left off being thankful to GOD .
David had a heart after GOD . And t rue He messed up a few times ,
BUT UPON BEING CORRECTED , HE DID NOT JUSTIFY , BUT FELT HEAVEY HEAVEY DEEP REMORSE .
REPENTING OF IT and MAKING sacrifice that would cost him .
SOMETHING this all inclusive generation KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT as IT JUSTIFIES SIN
HOLDS RAINBOWS and KISSES ON KORANS and BUDDA statues and sits under an ecumeincal whore .
