I have no problem answering a simple question, including the simple question you (and quite a few others) have asked me.

Only a dishonest person avoids answering a simple question.

Something about me that you probably don’t know and aren’t interested in knowing: I spend a significant amount of time reading sermons in my free time. The habit was instilled in me by my homiletics professor in college. I‘m retired now but I still enjoy reading them.

Here’s one - not one of mine - that you would benefit from reading in your spare time:

Even if you decide not to read it, the title alone should suffice for you to reconsider your assertion. And there are hundreds of sermons and papers available online about Jesus refusing to answer a simple question. You might consider looking into them.

There are other examples in scripture of people besides Jesus who didn’t answer a simple question put to them, but if Jesus‘ example doesn’t persuade you then I think it’s unlikely that their examples would.

I assume - assuming makes us vulnerable - that you’re a person who prays. Have you ever asked God something in prayer and he didn’t answer you? Job was such a man. I‘m pretty sure you’ve read his story.

Are you aware that Jesus the Nazarene, the Messiah, Son of the living God - the “silent Lamb“ of the sermon I recommended to you - is himself a Jew?

And so, a few simple questions put to @Armour of God went unanswered by him.

Jesus said, “For by the standard you judge you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you” (Matthew 7:2).

And what is Armour of God’s standard of measure? Straight from his mouth to our ears, he himself has told us -

What does this mean? Simple. It means that he’s been hoisted by his own petard.

A person may change their mind over time, and maybe that will turn out to be the case with him. I hope that it will.

And that brings me to Ecclesiastes 3:7, where the Preacher says to us, there is -

“a time to be silent and a time to speak;”

Words of wisdom for all and sundry to meditate on.
