The entire notion is contemptuous...
To you. I get it.
You're treating blasphemy as though it only exists when someone consciously sneers at God. That is absurdly narrow.
<chuckles> No, I'm just saying that regarding what they are saying, and what you are saying about it. So, specifically what you narrowed it to.

A 130 year old manmade system that takes the Jerusalem Christ named, the Temple He identified, the Judea He addressed, the armies He foretold, and the generation He said would not pass away until they saw the prophecy fulfilled.. and then performs the theological equivalent of ripping Christ’s words out of the mouths of the people standing before Him, hurling them two thousand years into the future, constructing a magical second Temple He never pointed to, inventing another audience He never addressed, and announcing that everyone present during the original prophecy was merely scenery for a message supposedly meant for modern prophecy addicts.

That is not interpretation.
That is scriptural abduction.
That is contempt for the authority of His words whether the people repeating it intend contempt or not.
I think that is just, really, how some folks try to paint it.

Good intentions don't baptize contradiction... especially when the contradiction is this spiritually dangerous.
Right, I agree, but some don't see any contradiction... and it may not even be that, but even if it is, they are not intentionally contradicting.

Sincerity doesn't make theological insubordination holy...
Goodness gracious... "theological insubordination"... <chuckles> I mean that's just ridiculous. Insubordination is an intentional thing, TGOC, so you're making my point for me. <smile>

, nor does it erase the fact that the system places Christ’s own testimony beneath a later human scheme that no apostle...
It's just a misunderstanding, TGOC. Not to minimize it, or say it's insignificant, but yeah, dispensationalists are just wrong.

...I call it blasphemous because the entire structure treats the plain words of Christ as disposable whenever it interferes with their doctrine.
Okay, do what you want. Whether that's the effect or not is debatable, but in any case, that's not the intent. They're just wrong.

If you don't think that's blasphemy, then to me, that's terrifying.
<eye roll> It's not blasphemy.

Grace and peace to you.

Can you concede many, if not most, do interpret the way you say?

Putting yourself as superior to all other interpreters is what this thread is about. The church of YOUR interpretation. Not too humble.

Yes, many interpret it that way. Thats precisely the spiritually dangerous problem being discussed.

Christ named Jerusalem, Judea, the Temple, the surrounding armies, and “this generation.” Pointing that out is not placing myself above Scripture or founding “the church of my interpretation.” It's asking later interpreters to remain beneath the words actually written which Darby absolutely did not do. He took God's word and turned it into Star Wars.

Your response doesnt explain why Christ's named locations, visible Temple, immediate audience, and stated timeframe should be magically transported thousands of years into the future. Instead, you just accuse the person demanding an answer of lacking humility.

Thats not a rebuttal; its tone-policing used as a refuge from the text.

Yes, many interpret it that way. Thats precisely the spiritually dangerous problem being discussed. Christ named Jerusalem, Judea, the Temple, the surrounding armies, and “this generation.”
There has been much disagreement among Christians about what Christ meant by "this generation" ever since He made that statement and Matthew recorded it. Even so, there is no disagreement with regard to... well, the height... the importance and truth of what He said. It's really... in English terms... that prepositional phrase and it's true meaning and impact that's the issue; no one is purposefully denying it or reframing it.

...should be magically transported thousands of years into the future.
This is the real issue. Some say that by "this generation," which contained at that time 70 A.D., that's all He was referring to. Some people, yes, say that by "this generation," He was referring to a distant future ~ unknown to anybody but Him or possibly even to Him ~ timeframe. Some say, TGOC ~ some say <smile> ~ He was referring to both. <smile> In other words, was He talking about the generation alive in 70 A.D., or was he talking about a distant, future generation? Well, some say, yes.... <smile> ...that it's a layered prophecy, meaning there is at least one, and possibly many, "lesser," or penultimate fulfillments, and one ultimate fulfillment. <smile>

Instead, you just accuse the person demanding an answer of lacking humility.
It is what it is... <smile>

Thats not a rebuttal; its tone-policing used as a refuge from the text.
Pfffffft.

Grace and peace to you.

Maximum blasphemy.

Then they forge that distortion into modern "dispensationalism"; a prophetic system unknown to the apostles, unknown to the Church Fathers, developed in the nineteenth century around Darby and his followers, and spread through Protestant Christianity around the turn of the twentieth century.

A system that overrides the stated setting and timeframe of Scripture, places Christ’s fulfillment on hold, and demands another Temple, another crisis, and another generation living thousands of years removed from Christ’s actual audience.

Again Disagree with you and your narrative.

Dispensationalism IS a theological system.

Listing a bunch of other heresies does not make this one disappear. Thats not an answer; its a smoke bomb. Jesus named Jerusalem, He named Judea, He pointed at the Temple. He said “this generation” will experience it. Rome came, the city was surrounded, and the Temple was destroyed in 70AD. You can scream about Joel Osteen, Toronto, woke moonbat churches, AI, and more, but none of it moves Christ’s words on this one inch.

And this blasphemous lie that Christ’s prophecy somehow failed, or that He did not even understand the timing of His own words which were magically meant for people living 2,000 years later; became the foundation of more than a century of sustained doctrinal brainwashing, training millions of Christians to distrust the plain words of Jesus Christ whenever those words threaten the system from hell they inherited.. one that leads them straight back to it.
Fact: Jesus did not return in 70ad. If you limit Matt 24 to that generation then you must also apply the second coming to that generation as well. The generation is actually applies to is the one that begins to see the signs happening that Jesus spoke of.
I would call that one of the most alarming heresies in modern Christianity.
Then you are completely lacking in understanding as to what doctrinal priorities are.

Don't worry. Soon there will be only one. God is going to clean His House. Blood will flow.

1 Peter 4:17
17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God;

Well if thats the case, I certainly don't want to be anywhere near someone like John Hagee's "church" when the theological judgement finally arrives in the sky...

A ministry built around prophecy charts, modern geopolitics, a different Temple, denying Christ's fulfillment, another covenant program, and the systematic relocation of Christ’s words thousands of years out of context beyond His stated audience. Not to mention teaching a prophetic sci-fi system that no apostle ever preached, no early Church Father believed, and no Christian born before the nineteenth century had ever even heard of because Darby and Scofield had not yet arrived to manufacture it out of thin air yet.

If you time traveled to a Puritan village in 1640 and started preaching modern dispensationalism to all the Christians; they'd probably brand you a warlock possessed by the dragon and throw you in an asylum in chains. And of course, rightfully so.. As you'd be telling them to their faces that Christ Himself was misled and confused. How He didn't understand when His prophecy was supposed to occur and go on to explain how those ancient verses are really all about themselves, like a cult from hell.

If you then told the Puritans that a majority of Christians in 2026 believed this insanity, they'd immediately call it the veil, or the work of the devil.

The word of God.

Truth is often called “divisive” by people who prefer peace with error.

Review Gods works from the Beginning to This Day and Forward…
Gods Works… Creating AND Making…
Gods Creations…
Gods Making of “DIVISIONS” His Creations…
Gods “Continual” … Making of His Creations,
* Dividing, Establishing, Accounting …THOSE…with-OUT Him
AND
THOSE…with Him.

Point…
The Creation, IS a done deal.
The Making, IS on going.

Repeatedly…
FIRST is LAST…
LAST is FIRST…

In their own Time, Year, Season, Day, Hour…
In their own God Made Forgiveness.
In their own God Made Justification.
In their own God Made Redemption.
In their own God Made Sanctification.
In their own God Made Deliverance.
In their own God Made Rescue.
In their own God Made Standing Forever Alive With God.
AnD “some”
In their own God Made Promise of Destruction.

Creation is ONE Thing.
The MAKING continues Until the Human Race is Extinct…
AND
The Division between Heaven and Earth…
AND
The Division between They With and Without God…
IS Yoked adjoined…ONE Heaven that Includes Earth..
ONE Faithful People that IS WITH God.

You appear dismayed, for men to Trust, Believe, the Eras, Times, God has Established ARE, Have Passed AND Shall come to Pass.

Well if thats the case, I certainly don't want to be anywhere near someone like John Hagee's "church" when the theological judgement finally arrives...

A ministry built around prophecy charts, modern geopolitics, a different Temple, denying Christ's fulfillment…

Christ Fulfilled Establishing His Church.
Haven’t seen Any evidence of Hagee’ Church teaching otherwise.

A “Different Temple”… YES.

The First AND Second Temples…
WERE Built by Men, dedicated to God.
AND
Had (conduct) flaws.
Historical and Common Knowledge.
Both Temples ARE Destroyed.

IF you Prophetically Trust Scripture…
You would Believe…

2 Thes. 2:
[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
[5] Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
[6] And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

What TEMPLE, do you think… Satan will (in his time) appear, sit, announce he is God?

Rubbles of a former Temple?
Or Another Temple?

Are you Aware… men of ISRAEL have Express Detailed Blueprints, Design, Stone, Fabrics, Furnishings, in Exact accordance with Gods Temple?

Their Hinderance Delay in moving foward to Build, IS …
Political, Geographical AND AFTER Satan is Revealed (on Earth), with power…
Which IS:
During Gods Tribulations Sent Down from Heaven.

If Darby had done to the TV show Happy Days what he did to the Holy Bible, it would go something like this:

“No, son; you only think you understand Happy Days. In fact, you are just as lost as the people who originally watched it, and perhaps even more confused than the people who wrote it.

Fonzie was not merely a mechanic and neighborhood celebrity. He was a degenerate who appeared with a different young woman in nearly every episode; a cad, sometimes with two or three women hanging from his arms at once. It is therefore our deeply studied belief that he was secretly a pimp operating a prostitution and narcotics empire from the detached apartment above the Cunninghams’ garage.

Arnold’s was the front. Big Al handled the money. Pinky Tuscadero transported the shipments from Colombia on her motorcycle and distributed them throughout Milwaukee. The roller-skating waitresses sold dime bags to teenagers in burger-joint parking lots, while Howard Cunningham was either criminally oblivious, or the secret financier behind Fonzie’s entire operation.

We are not entirely certain which explanation is correct. But after one more blood moon, another red-heifer prophecy update, three Hail Marys, and confirmation that the image of the Virgin Mary has appeared in a grilled-cheese sandwich, we hope finally to manufacture the truth and then worship what we created as though God revealed it. Afterward, we shall teach our new ‘truth’ to everyone we can find.”

Then it’s like

Darby, listen, brother; it doesn’t say anything about a Cunningham drug empire or Fonzie running prostitutes in any of the scripts.

Not one word..

But then comes the most dangerous moment, human invention slithers into a clerical robe, climbs behind a pulpit, calls itself “revelation,” and claims the authority to overrule the plain meaning of the words that were actually written.

“Brother, that is the mystery we uncovered because we study the program much more deeply than you. The fact that you cannot perceive Fonzie’s true identity and purpose merely proves that you are unenlightened.”

That is exactly how "interpretation" stops serving the text and begins demanding submission to the interpreter.

“Our interpretation is not contradicted by God’s Word. Your inability to find it in the text merely proves that you do not understand God’s Word. The text does not naturally produce our doctrine, so you must first accept our doctrine in order to understand God’s Word."

This is self-sealing eisegesis; a counterfeit authority that no longer submits itself to the Word of God, but demands that the Word of God submit to it.

I do think Matt 24 is history, difficulty is how to explain v29-31

Matt 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Matt 24:30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matt 24:31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

If Darby

If Fantancy is irrelevant.

Some people agree with DARBY’S …
ecclesiology views and eschatology views.
Some don’t.
So what?

Ecclesiology is the theological study that examines the Christian church, focusing on its origin, nature, governance, and role in the world.

Eschatology is the theology and philosophy focused on the "last things".

DARBY shared his “views” with thoses he chose to do so.

I have never read or studied Darbys works.
Thus my beliefs are not accredited to Darby.

It is God who reveals “mysteries” AND “understanding” of Gods OWN Word.

I have no reason to doubt, Darby sought and received Relevations from God any more or less than God Revels “Gods understanding of Gods own Word, to any others who diligently Seek and Ask.”

""""...sought and received Relevations from God""
Extra Biblical revelation ?
In that case the Bahai faith has a leg to stand on as does Mohammad, Ellen G White & anyone else who 'claims' GOD speaks to them
What specific individuals “claim”, is on them.
What “context” they mean is on them.

I don’t hear “audible speech” from God, or His Son.

Yet, I do believe human men in ancient days, directly heard God Speak to them,
As well, I do believe historical men, face to face with Jesus, heard His voice.

And I do believe in a “Spiritual Manner” ( not audible speech ), With the “IF” conditions …
A man CAN “have a conversation with the Lord God, by audibly speaking to Him, or by Heartful thoughts”…and receive answers / replies From Him, that “are not audible”.

When a human, says “God spoke to them”, it implies, an “Audible Speech”… whereas Scripture itself, “reveals”…
* it is rather, a moving of the Holy Spirit with or within that person…
AND…
* their “take away” understanding and “listener” of such “claims”, should be Verifiable “IN Scripture.”

Point…
I don’t believe men today, HEAR the Lord Gods “audible” voice.
Yet, I do believe men today, RECEIVE answers and understanding by, through, of the Spiritual Holy Spirit, with or in them.

And YES, some humans, DO claim, “they hear the Lord Gods Voice”…
I personally believe, that is a “mis-speak”…
Rather…His “communication” is Spiritual, Not audible, verbal, speech.

2 Tim 3:
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Pet 1:
[20] Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
[21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Heb 1:
[1] God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Heb 3:
[15] While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

[14] For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Do “I” personally, audibly and silently “ASK the Lord God”… questions?
Absolutely.
Do I get a Response?
Absolutely.
Audible / Speech of hearing His Voice?
No.
Spiritually VIA, the Holy Spirit IN me?
Yes.
According to, “MY timing”?
No.
According to the Lord Gods Timing and Manner to Respond?
Yes.

“AI is biased” is not an answer.
AI did not invent Jerusalem, Judea, the Temple, the surrounding armies, “this generation,” or 70AD. It merely placed the words of Jesus in front of you verbatim.. and instead of answering Christ's words, you just attacked the tool that displayed them.

You ask what is "supposedly blasphemous"?

Yeah, here you go.

Men take the Jerusalem Christ named, the Temple He pointed toward, the Judea He addressed, the armies He foretold, and the generation standing directly before Him; the generation He said would not pass away until these things occurred and then magically transport the entire prophecy; out-of-context, thousands of years into the future like an L. Ron Hubbard novel making it all about themselves like a cult..

All while making Christ appear confused or incapable of identifying the audience and timeframe of His own prophecy.

Again, maximum blasphemy.

Then they crown that manmade system forged in the darkest pits of hell and unable to survive the plain words of Christ for ten seconds with greater authority than the words of Almighty God themselves. That is blasphemy of the tallest order along with theological insubordination, exegetical vandalism, doctrinal apostasy, and open contempt for the stated authority of Almighty God.

Warnings about “AI hallucinations” are no refuge from the words of Christ.

The quotations are at the top of this thread verbatim.

The history is all there.

Feel free to answer the text point by point at any time.
Luke 21:20-28 properly displays what happened to Jerusalem back then and then points forward to the coming return of Christ, unencumbered by presuppositions of how the other gospels told the story, like Matthew 24, which so many people have mangled. Of course I dont read Matthew 24 like others do, with some claiming irrationally it is all done, fulfilled, the entire chapter. All of them together, Mark 13, Matthew 24, Luke 17, Luke 21 scriptures are actually consistent in what they say, just with more info and details.

Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple

5 Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was [c]adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said, 6 “These things which you see—the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.”

The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age

7 So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”

8 And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ [d]Therefore do not [e]go after them. 9 But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”

10 Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. 12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. 13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. 14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will [f]answer; 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or [g]resist. 16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. 18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost. 19 By your patience possess your souls.

The Destruction of Jerusalem

20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

The Coming of the Son of Man

25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

The Parable of the Fig Tree

29 Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

The Importance of Watching

34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with [h]carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may [i]be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

37 And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet. 38 Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.

35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Points out the sudden destruction of the Day of Judgment coming at the visible, glorious second coming return of Christ happens to the whole world, not just localized to Jerusalem.

v24 onwards is for the time after the sacking of Jerusalem by Rome. Which means v25 and onward, Jesus has not done His second coming yet, the time for that is still future.

20 and that He may send [c]Jesus Christ, who was [d]preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since [e]the world began.

Peter in acts 3 points that out.

Christ remains in heaven at the right hand of God until all His enemies are His footstool, and that last enemy to be destroyed is death.

Christ remains in Heaven until the Last Day of this world.

That world restoration is called the New Earth, New Heaven, the age of the resurrection, which begins when Christ returns, the dead are raised, and HE judges the world in righteousness on the Last Day. And only those who are counted worthy obtain that age to come. It is rightly called 'Last Day' as it is the end of this age-world and the beginning of all things being made new, that time of restoration that all the prophets spoke of, the age to come.

11 Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed. 12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 “Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

20 and that He may send [c]Jesus Christ, who was [d]preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since [e]the world began.

22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ 24 Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also [f]foretold these days. 25 You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ 26 To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

34 Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. 37 But even Moses showed in the burning bush passage that the dead are raised, when he called the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ 38 For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.”

39 Then some of the scribes answered and said, “Teacher, You have spoken well.” 40 But after that they dared not question Him anymore.
