Did Satan fall to earth in v18 or did he just lose some authority?

Is v18 above the equivalent of Rev 12:7-9?
"7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
Satan and his angels were banished to earth, see Isaiah 14:22-15 and Ezekiel 28:12-17.

Zech 14 is a type/shadow of what will come.
v4 When God is on the mount of Olives, the earth doesn't dissolve, just an earthquake. In a perfect new earth, there won't be any earthquakes.

v5 Unsaved Israelites will flee as those just given new bodies return to this same earth with Jesus. Compare with Zech 12:6 " In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
Zech 12:11 "In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem."
Zech 12:12 "And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;" No mourning in heavenly Jerusalem.

v8 Living waters in this context means fresh waters.
Zech 13:1 "In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness." Will there be sin in New Jerusalem?
Ez 47:9-10 "9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh. 10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

v9 Zech 9:8 "And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

The measurements of the temple of the millennial kingdom describe a temple that is 6 times as big as the former temples. This is made possible by the earthquake changing the topography.

God's eternal kingdom begins in Rev 11:15 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever." Even after 1000 years, when Satan is free of his chain, Christ will be reigning on earth. When this earth is destroyed at the last trumpet of God, Christ will still be reigning over a new heaven and a new earth. At that last trumpet there will be a second resurrection of the dead. That's the reason the first resurrection is called the first resurrection and not just the resurrection.
I Strongly Disagree

Zechariah Chapter 14 shows (The Day Of The Lord) taking place, the very same day seen in 2 Peter 3:10 "Fire"

(The Very Same Day Of The Lord In "Fire")

2 Peter 3:10KJV
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

(The Very Same Day Of The Lord In "Fire")

Zechariah 14:1KJV
14 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

(The Very Same Day Of The Lord In "Fire")

Zechariah 14:12KJV
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

No, Zechariah 14 is not about the destruction of the earth by fire.

There is activity upon the earth following the day of Jesus's return in Zechariah 14:16-21.

Zechariah 14:16 Who Will Be Left Of The Nations?

You will closely note, Zechariah 14:16 & Isaiah 4:3-4 are "Parallel" readings of the same event, as Isaiah gives a clear account of those who are left, those who are found in the book of life, the final judgement has passed, eternity has begun "After" The Day Of The Lord

You will closely note in Isaiah 4:4 below, Jerusalem will be purged by the spirit of (Judgement) & (Burning)

Only The Righteous Are Left, The Book Of Life "Was" Opened (Every One That Is Written Among The Living)

Zechariah 14:16KJV
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Isaiah 4:3-4KJV
3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Revelation 21:24-27KJV
24 And
the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie:
but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

That’s what I said, the 5th seal begins the persecution and the great tribulation…not the 6th seal casting down of satan and his angels as you proclaim.

Per the Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 11 "vile person" prophecy, the coming Antichrist/false-Messiah is setup at the beginning of the 7 years as king. That means he must already be here to confirm the Jew's reestablishing of sacrifices and the temple, and thus before the "abomination of desolation" idol is setup instead. Furthermore, the 5th Seal only declares that the other brethren will be killed as those under the Altar were. It does not spell out the exact time of their persecution. Yet those who are studied in God's Word pretty well understand that actual time of persecution will be once the AOD is setup.

Zechariah 14L17-19 takes place on this present earth after Jesus's return.

17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and com not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feaste of tabernacles.

19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

William, look at v.14 right before that quote: "Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name."

Then James says "to this agree the words of the prophets" and cites Amos on rebuilding David's tabernacle.

That's James saying the prophecy is being fulfilled *right then*, in the Gentiles being grafted into the church — not pointing ahead to some future rebuilt temple
IMO:

o. "Gentile" stems from Latin gens = "family or clan of people."
o. "Jewish" = "any/every descendant of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob.
o. Jesus will rebuild the temple after he comes (Zechariah 6:13).

Never heard of a pestilence consuming eyes, tongues, flesh, as a person is standing on their feet

Sounds like a very hot "Fire" to me

Hebrews 12:29KJV
29 For our God is a consuming fire.

The text speaks of a plague doing that, not fire. Using it to support fire ks misusing the text.

It's not because the text tells us what causes it. Is it ok if someone claims extremely high winds causes it? Or freezing cold? We do not get to add our beliefs into the text. It is called Eisegesis.

Always submit to the authority of the text and accept what it says on all things. It's a plague not fire in the passage.

Just another unsupported lie from you. A plague doesn’t always means pestilence…..

Revelation 15:1 (KJV) And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

I.e. the seven bowls/vials…

Revelation 16:8 (KJV) And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

Revelation 18:8 (KJV) Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong [is] the Lord God who judgeth her.

Revelation 18:18 (KJV) And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What [city is] like unto this great city!

Revelation 20:9 (KJV) And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Looks and reads like fire…maybe you should listen to your own advice and submit to the authority of the text…in its proper context.

Accusing someone of lying is a serious thing.

Wrong. I spoke of a Hebrew word not a Greek word.
Provided multiple verses just out of revelation….I didn’t even go back to exodus.

There is no truth in you.

And you’re a mod here….makes perfect sense, sad.

More fire…

Isaiah 66:15 (KJV) For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Isaiah 66:16 (KJV) For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

Psalm 21:9 (KJV) Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

Deuteronomy 32:22 (KJV) For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

Once again, you fabricate things out of thin air. In Hebrew or Greek, a plague isn’t always pestilence. You were given clear scriptural evidence and deny the Word of God.

Like I said ewq1938….the Truth is not in you. At least I had the initial humbleness to concede a point of contention about the candlesticks..yet you continue unabated in untruthfulness when shown clear and concise scripture of your incorrect interpretation and statements. You exhibit continued disobedience to the Truth.

Here’s the Hebrew strongs for you.

Plagues:

H5221 - nāḵâ
H4347 - makâ
H5061 - neḡaʿ

Pestilence:

H1698 - deḇer
