Wow, your 4 replies to my posts this morning are not going to go well if you make errors in the first half sentence!

Read Revelation 2 and 3, Jesus had somewhat against 5 out of 7 of those "right on" early churches.

Yeah, I may not even respond to the rest of your posts.
THe church has always had errors. but your accusation without defining it is beyond the pale. the church has never been perfect but always blessed by god. How come you do not have a higher spiritual meaning for the letters to the seven churches?

I am repeating myself to say so (again).

But no...that is totally wrong, and you simply don't understand. But perhaps the Lord will open your eyes this time. Are you capable of change?

Ask for yourself, reason for yourself: What "manner" raised Jesus up into heaven, physical, or spiritual?

And if you get that one correct: Since "everyone born of the spirit" is like "the wind" and unseen--what did those who saw Jesus ascend see, the physical Jesus or the unseen born of the spirit Jesus?
Wow have you taken the Word of God and made it the Word of ScottA!!! Your lack of simple understanding of Gods Word is remarkable.

Jesus was physically taken into heaven in teh bvody that was resurrected and He sp[ent over 40 days in before He was physically removed from the planet.

Your misunderstaniding of JOhn 3 is glowing!

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

This verse is showing that just we cannot tell where the wind will come and go, so it is with those who are born again. We do not know where or when it will happen. Maybe you should take a refresher course on basic grammar.

You claim to know the scriptures, but cannot understand even a man.

As for "the first trust"--apparently your question has an agenda behind it. What is it--what do you really want to say?
I know the Scriptures, but I asked so as to not misinterpret you. what did you eman so I do not misquote you.

My agenda is to make sure I understood what you said. That is all.

I answered you according to your own measure. That's not all there is to it, but that is all you spoke against.

But no, what I have said is only beyond your own comfort, but aligns with scripture. The church is in big trouble. You can deny it--but hey--hold your breath, and before you need air many more marks against her will be revealed.

No, indeed it is not complicated. But it does require understanding that the body that is raised up is not the body of flesh.

And no again, Jesus did not "leave" the planet except spiritually; and He gave His body to the church, saying "take eat, this is my body" of which Paul clarified, saying, "the church, which is His body."

Read your Bible.

I was not speaking of "trust"...which is not required, but God's good counsel. But rather--as I said--"faith" is required, which is not of man, but a gift from God.

Read your Bible.

Jesus rose from the dead in a resurrected physical body and ascended up into heaven in that body, not “spiritually”.

Luke 24

36 While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.

38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?

39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.

41 And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish,

43 and he took it and ate it in their presence.

44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophetsand the Psalms.”

45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48 You are witnesses of these things.

49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

50 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them.

51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.

52 Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

Yes, read your Bible--all of it. You left out Acts 1:9:

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Search the scriptures and discover the other uses of the word "cloud." --But first, understand that it was a "cloud" that lead Moses and Israel through the desert--and in this case came after Jesus had taught that everyone born of the spirit of God is not visible--nor is God and the things of heaven, which is who He was, and where He was transitioning to.

Are you now after all this time only considering what is worldly and can be seen?

A cloud receiving Jesus does not mean Jesus did not ascend into heaven in a physical body.

Jesus did not teach that people born of the spirit are not visible. Paul, Peter, John, Matthew, all the apostles were visible. You speak foolishly.

You are teaching doctrines that are wrong and deceptive.

Luke 24 debunks your false theology.

38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?

39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

Yes, biblically, by definition--it does.

Biblically, a "cloud" refers to God in spirit--that is what they saw.
That is all they saw. They did not see Jesus in heaven in the flesh. Didn't happen. You have nothing.

Meaning...it is only what the many believe against what Jesus taught about all who are born of the Spirit.

The external form of the church is in big trouble, but the church , known as the body of Christ is still alive and well and prevailing against teh darkness.

I di read my bible. Jesus told the Apostles in JOhn that they could handle Him and see for a spirit did not have flesh and bone (physicalness) as he had. And they saw that flesh and bone body depart planet earth and heard teh angels say that He will return the same way He left- visibly and physically. It is you who do not understand that the bodies we have will give up teh mortal for immortal and the corruptible for the incorruptible.

Jesus was also the first fruits of the resurrection- REsurrection being "ana-stasis" or a standing up again. It was Jesus body that was laid down, and that same body was resurrected or stood up again and received into heaven as the glorified god/man.

I know that is the perspective of you and others, but it is because you do not understand.

Paul was all things to all people, because he brought the opening message to many nations. Do you not see the correlation? But that is not where we are now, and you have not perceived that the wrap up is different than the beginning. Why should I--or anyone for that matter--do what was correct for the beginning of the times of the gentiles...when these are not those times, but the time of the end?

Meanwhile, wake up, you have [fallen] into the pattern of those who were asleep at the end of the times of Israel (when their Messiah had come to gather them). And your attitude is not unlike theirs also. "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire."

Friend what is your title?

It would appear that you don't really understand what you just said.

"Prevailing against the darkness" means being under the weight and condemnation of sin, and dying on the cross. Which is the dreadful report I gave you.

Which, if you are perceptive and not totally blinded by emotion...is an example of what you and I have been wrestling with coming together. But that emotion is very powerful.

Again, you are mixing two very different events: Jesus rising from the dead, is not the resurrection or His ascension. Until you understand and acknowledge this truth, you will not fully understand.
