@TitusTwoWife inspired me to start this thread from her home ministry thread, as well as a vid from Akkad Daily, who pointed out that today's boss babe women have taken on the role of husband. In short, good men tend not to want to be wives. The answer to the common lament, where are all the good men, is simple; they're avoiding bad women who ask such a question. Like a cake, a good man is not found in a state of nature. A cake has to be made and so does a relationship with a man.

The pathway is to stroke a man's ego, which today's feminist women refuse to do on principle! The principle makes their quest self-defeating. I'm reminded of the song, If I Knew You Were Comin' I'D 'VE Baked a Cake. Like field of dreams, if you build it, they will come. The good man will appear before your very eyes.

Excerpts from the lyrics:
And spread the welcome mat for you
Oh, I don't know where you came from
'cause I don't know where you've been
But it really doesn't matter
Grab a chair and fill your platter
And dig, dig, dig right in

Denzel Washington revered his wife when he won an acting award. This is what all women want but sadly, today's women want the accolades BEFORE putting in the work of stroking the man's ego. Denzel was a drug addict and his wife stood by her man, saved his life. THEN he became successful and publicly revered his wife.

Women who ask the question, where have all the good men gone, treat having a relationship with a man like a job interview, where she puts herself as the head, usurping the man's role from the start. Such sense of entitlement proves they are spoiled and unworthy. What's that you say?
  1. A ready made good man doesn't want or need a woman who asks such a question. He's looking for a woman to accompany him on the journey, like Denzel's wife.
  2. What is your value proposition? What do you offer good men? Certainly not humility or encouragement.
  3. There are many vids of match makers who give up on delusional women who only seek a perfect man while offering little in return.
    • A good man will have expectations of his partner, reject one-way-ships today's feminists seek.
    • Ask not what your husband can do for you, ask what you can do for your husband.
  4. Be careful what you wish for. A high value man has high expectations of those around him. Are women prepared to meet his expectations and pay the consequences when they don't? Or will they dismiss it; categorize such constructive feedback as controlling, abusive, misogynistic?
A good man is not found but made. He's made by stroking his ego. In her book, The Proper Care and Feeding of Husband's Dr Laura pointed out that refusing to do this is hate-filled, toxic and self-defeating. Such is the meaning of Proverbs 14:1 Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands. It stands to reason that worldly philosophy of feminism would preach a message opposite to Scripture. Thoughts?

This is so true. I wanted a man who would be strongly opinionated to essentially make up for the passivity of my father. I got that in spades with my husband but we had to to on a journey to get where we are now.

He wasn't always well paid, mature, steady, and confident. He made mistakes in the beginning, was poor, had a worldview that was still developing. I learned to be submissive and fully invest in him. Now I reap the benefits of his rise in stature.

When I tried to tell one woman that there's value in building with a man rather than expecting everything from him with no investment, she dismissed it quickly. She wanted to pick in choose based on her whims and what they could give her now. I believe a lot of women pay a long term price for this short sighted mentality.

They want women like my dear friend. She was 19, wanting to be a homemaker, Godly, debt-free, virtuous, seeking to be a wife and not casually date, and able to take care of a home and children. She is married to a man with a highly successful business worth millions.

But whether you attract a high value man like my friend or go on a journey to invest for one like I did, you have to bring something to the table too. And it might as well be feminine virtues because that's something only a woman can do well.

I was raised in a feminist soup so I have actively tried to unlearn the mindset that stroking a man's ego is demeaning to me as a woman in some way.

The reality is my husband is facing pressure and and battles I don't fully understand. The world will beat him down. Who will encourage him if I don't?
