Exactly, he could not produce the verse because it does not exist.

There is no explicit verse where Christ says “this generation” means an unnamed generation 1,900 years later.

Not even just "in the future". Not even that to hold onto for an argument.

Nothing.

See the danger is that once the system becomes the lens, absence of textual support starts getting treated as proof that everyone else simply “doesn’t understand.”

It’s like:

Dude, just chill for a second. Please listen to me.

Princess Leia was never married to Yoda or Chewbacca.

It’s not in the six films.
It’s not in the scripts.
George Lucas never said it.

“YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND LUCAS! OUR ENTIRE SYSTEM IS BUILT ON LEIA BEING MARRIED TO YODA AND CHEWBACCA AT TWO DIFFERENT TIME PERIODS!!!”

I know, dude. I know. But it’s just not in there.

“I’M BLOCKING YOU!!!”

And back under the veil they go..

And because that verse will never be found in the text, eventually you have to ask a much darker question.. how much spiritual danger are you in when your entire system has drifted so far from the actual words of Christ that deception starts feeling like doctrine?

You trusted the schisms.
You trusted the charts.
You trusted the denominational machinery.
You trusted every serpent in the valley telling you what Christ really meant.

And all the while, Christ’s actual words and the audience He identified were sitting there not only ignored, but openly DENIED.

Christ doesn’t tell you who He was talking to anymore. Your system tells Christ who He was talking to.

At some point this stops being an argument about prophecy and becomes a question of whether you ever really knew the voice of the Shepherd at all.

It’s like showing up at Heaven’s gate for a Star Wars test after spending your whole life believing the Ewoks built the Death Star, Yoda was the villain, and Chewbacca ruled the galaxy.

You weren't slightly off; you weren't even close..

You spent your whole life learning a convoluted, warped substitute and calling it the original.

That's the terrifying part.

You’re standing before the Almighty fumbling your prophecy charts, explaining how you were tricked into not even knowing Him.

'This generation' is a dual prophecy. Part for then and part of NOW.

Israel is back to stay in the Land of the Bible.

'This generation' is a dual prophecy. Part for then and part of NOW.

Israel is back to stay in the Land of the Bible.

I'm sorry, I don't know what religion you follow exactly, maybe I'm not familiar with it..

I follow God's Word and that of the apostles, their disciples and the architects of Christianity itself.

Matthew 21:43 — the kingdom is taken and given. Not paused, not put on prophetic layaway, not reserved by bloodline.

Romans 9:6 — descent from Israel does not itself equal Israel. Paul destroys the idea that genealogy alone settles covenant identity.

Romans 2:28–29 — the decisive mark is inward, not merely outward. Circumcision of the heart outranks fleshly pedigree.

Galatians 3:7 — those of faith are Abraham’s children. Paul ties Abrahamic sonship to faith, not ancestry.

Galatians 3:28–29 — if you belong to Christ, you are Abraham’s seed and heir. Paul does not add a second qualification about race.

Philippians 3:3 — “we are the circumcision” and we put no confidence in the flesh.” That is about as hostile as Paul can get to flesh-based religious boasting.

1 Timothy 1:4 “...nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith.” Paul directly warns against obsessing over bloodlines and ancestry because it leads to nothing but endless speculation, deception, and false doctrines.

Ephesians 2:14–15 — Christ makes the two one. Not two covenant tracks running side by side forever.

1 Peter 2:9–10 — believers in Christ are called the "chosen race, royal priesthood, holy nation, God’s people".
Peter applies Israel’s covenant language directly to the Church. <---------

Hebrews 8:13 — the former covenant is called obsolete. Not dormant. Not paused. Obsolete. Decommissioned. Superseded. No longer the governing covenant. The covenant God recognizes as operative now is the New Covenant established in Christ.

Hebrews 10:9 — “He takes away the first in order to establish the second.” First removed, second established. The sentence is not hiding.

Hebrews 11:10,16 — Abraham and the patriarchs were seeking the heavenly city and country. Their final hope was never reducible to dirt, borders, or political possession. God Himself identifies the destination as heavenly.

Ignatius disciple/hearer of John - “It is absurd to profess Christ Jesus, and to Judaize.” — Letter to the Magnesians 10.

Ignatius disciple/hearer of John - “For Christianity did not embrace Judaism, but Judaism Christianity.” — Magnesians 10.

Ignatius disciple/hearer of John - “If any one preach the Jewish law unto you, do not listen to them.” — Letter to the Philadelphians 6.

1. Tertullian - An Answer to the Jews - "The old law is abolished, and the new covenant has been revealed in Christ."

2. Augustine - City of God - "The promises made to Israel are now realized in the holy Church."

3. Justin Martyr - Dialogue with Trypho - "We [Christians] are the true spiritual Israel, and heirs of the promises made by God."

4. Clement of Alexandria - It is only the Church which is the true spiritual Israel.

5. Origen (Homilies on Joshua) - “We are the Israel of God who walk in the spirit.”

6. Eusebius (Ecclesiastical History, Book 1) - “The promises made to Israel have found their fulfillment in the Christian Church.”
NO dual covenant.

7 .
Irenaeus, Against Heresies IV.7 says the fruit of Abraham’s promise belongs to “those who are partakers in the faith of Abraham, but not to the Jews who reject the Word of God.”

8. Justin Martyr — Dialogue with Trypho 135 - “Christ is the Israel and the Jacob… we [Christians]… are the true Israelitic race.” That means there is no other true Israelitic race in Justin’s argument.

(And I could keep going for another two pages.)

That’s what I follow: the Word of God, the apostles, their disciples, and the earliest architects of Christianity.

Christ is the King of Israel and His Kingdom is “not of this world.” Under the New Covenant, Jew and Gentile are made ONE in Christ; those who belong to Christ are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. That is the Israelite people Justin Martyr was talking about when he called Christiansthe true Israelitic race.” Covenant standing is in Christ the King; not blood, borders, dirt, or a modern political state.

I left you a Martyr meme to go with all the material up above in case you’re interested in joining our faith.

We call it "Christianity."

Israel is Home to stay in the Land of the Bible and there's nothing the jealous wannabees can do to remove them, but die trying.

Amos 9:14-15

14 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
15 I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them," Says the LORD your God.

Don't worry Jack, the Lord will return, everything Jesus said in Matt 24 is fulfilled, and 1948 is spiritual. And Zach 12-14 not fulfilled yet will become reality. The Bible is about Israel and the Lord will physically return in Israel on mount Mount of Olives [14:4]

Zach 14:9 And the LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day the LORD will be one and his name one.

I'm not worried. I'm busy pulling Israel haters out of the fire.

And what does “die trying” have to do with the Gospel of Christ?

We were discussing covenant identity, and within one paragraph you've turned it into people dying over meaningless terrestrial borders.

Christ said His Kingdom is not of this world. You immediately answered with land and death.

You might want to think very carefully about which kingdom your theology has trained you to defend.

And then you quote Amos 9 as though that settles everything.

It doesn’t.

The apostles themselves quote that same restoration section of Amos 9 in Acts 15 while explaining the gathering of Gentiles into God’s people through Christ.

So this is not obscure. We're not guessing.

YOU: Amos 9 = land.

JAMES AND THE APOSTLES: Amos 9 = God gathering the nations into His people.

How dare you seize the prophet, tear him away from the apostolic interpretation, and then use his words to preach the exact thing the apostles themselves did not preach.

You just appealed to Amos while ignoring the men Christ commissioned to interpret the fulfillment.

That is exactly the disease this entire thread is exposing.

The text says one thing.
The apostles explain it very clearly.
Then the systems of men walk in afterward and say:
“No. We know what it really means.”

No.

You do not get to correct the apostles with a prophecy chart.

And you certainly don't get to turn the Gospel of Christ into dirt, borders, enemies, and people dying over land while the apostles are standing there pointing you back to Christ and one people in Him.

You guys are proving the thread faster than I can even write it.

Jack quotes Amos while ignoring how the apostles themselves use Amos in Acts 15.

Now you answer the New Testament with Zechariah.

That's the problem.

Every time Christ or the apostles define the covenant in Christ, you flee backward into an Old Testament prophet and use him to overrule them. Christianity reads the prophets through Christ and His apostles. Your system reads Christ and His apostles through your interpretation of the prophets. You have the authority structure completely upside down.

The prophets do not correct the apostles.
The apostles tell Christians how the prophets are fulfilled in Christ.

If your interpretation of Zechariah requires you to ignore Paul’s one people, Peter’s holy nation, Hebrews’ obsolete covenant, and James’s own application of Amos, then Zechariah is not the problem.

Your system is.

At that point, you're no longer letting Christianity interpret the prophets; you're using your interpretation of the prophets to correct Christianity.

We’re all still patiently waiting for the verse where Christ Himself identifies the current generation listening to him that you claim He meant by “THIS generation."

Book. Chapter. Verse please...

No. That burden doesn’t reverse.

Christ is standing there speaking to His hearers and says “THIS generation.” That's the generation actually present in the discourse.

You are the one replacing that audience with another generation thousands of years later.

So the question remains exactly where it was:

Where does Christ identify that other generation?

Not where does He say “this” means the people in front of Him.

Where does He say “this” means people who do not yet exist?

Book. Chapter. Verse.

That’s the whole shell game in miniature; invent the second referent, then demand everyone else prove the first referent wasn’t secretly the one you invented.

For the atheists/lurkers who don't know scripture.

It’s like reading Star Wars, hearing Obi-Wan tell Luke, “You are strong in the Force,” and then announcing to the world, “Obi-Wan was really talking about me!” and when everyone points out that Luke is standing right there and thats who Obi-Wan was talking to, you demand, “Show me where Obi-Wan explicitly says he wasn’t talking about me!”

It's completely cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.

Now imagine standing before the Almighty and explaining that His prophecy wasn’t fulfilled when He said it would be, that the people standing in front of Him weren’t really the people He meant, and that your system convinced you the whole thing was actually all about you.

At that point you realize your system was never trusting Christ; you were correcting Him.

Zach 14:4 On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.

When did Mount Olives split in two ?

Zach 12:10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

When did the inhabitants of Jerusalem mourn on Jesus?

Rom 11:25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Did the fullness of the Gentiles already happened ?

You do know what happens after that, v26 and after.

You changed the subject again.

Nobody said Scripture contains no future events.

The question is whether a future event somehow resurrects an obsolete covenant, recreates two covenant peoples, and turns modern geopolitical Israel into the New Testament definition of Israel.

It does not.

You quoted Zechariah 12 and asked when they looked on Him whom they pierced.

John already answered you.

John 19:37
applies Zechariah 12:10 directly to Christ’s crucifixion.

So once again, the apostle interprets the prophet, and you run past the apostle looking for the fulfillment your system prefers.

Romans 11 does not save the argument either.

Paul gives you ONE olive tree.

Branches stand by faith.
Branches are broken off through unbelief.
They are grafted back in if they do not remain in unbelief.

That is not:

modern state + bloodline + land covenant + separate destiny.

That is:

ONE TREE.
ONE ROOT.
ONE MESSIAH.
ONE PEOPLE BY FAITH.

So stop saying “Israel” and quietly smuggling a modern nation-state, ethnicity, territory, and separate covenant into the word.

Paul put none of that there.

And a future prophecy does not resurrect a covenant Hebrews calls obsolete.

A future prophecy does not breathe life back into a covenant God has already superseded in Christ.

If your system requires that obsolete covenant to rise again, then your system is not following the New Testament; it's trying to undo it while still calling itself Christianity.
