Angels are not our spirit man

God is a Spirit and He created man in His Own image so we so are a spirit... that possess a soul, that lives in a body

We are one being in 3 parts just like God is.
This is our new man....reconciled/reconnected to God, able to perceive and know Him....seated in heavenly places. We know it isn't our physical body that is seated in heavenly places.

Jesus said when we die we shall be like the angels.. And in Revelation a couple of times when an angel appeared to John he identified himself as one of the brethren.

There is NO eternal destiny called heaven. Read the bible for yourself. The next age is on a new earth...not heaven. Heaven is ONLY for now.

Well that is borrowing from the Jehovah's witnesses.
I know the Bible backs and forwards.....and that ain't it. LOL

"And so shall we EVER be with the Lord"........and from what I gather "heaven" is simply the heavenly/spiritual realm where God dwells. It is nigh to us, because it is not confined to space or time....it is here and everywhere. New heaven and new earth are heavenly......they are, or will be, in that heavenly realm or part of it. "New" in scripture often signifies something made spiritual/heavenly. Like a renewed mind is a spiritual mind, the mind of Christ. Behold I make all things "new".....means to make them heavenly/spiritual. A "new" creation is a spiritual creation...etc. (I think there are other examples not coming to mind at the moment.)

But in trying to help someone who is not approaching scripture in the way of the Spirit it will sometimes seem to them as though you are pitting spirit against the written word though.
I may be misunderstanding what you mean here, but if you are saying that I am approaching Scripture in a way that pits the Spirit against the written Word, then please show me specifically where I have done that.

Quote something I actually said and show me from Scripture where it is wrong. I am more than willing to be corrected by the Word of God.

My whole point has been the opposite. We need the Holy Spirit to understand Scripture, but whatever we believe the Spirit is showing us must still agree with the Scripture He inspired.

So if you see me crossing that line somewhere, please point it out specifically. I want to examine it by the Word.

No, move on from arguing with people trying to convince them to believe whatever it is he's sayin.

Jesus spoke Truth and then did not proceed to try and talk everyone in to believing what He said.

Jesus let people turn away if they wanted to.
He starts a thread about something he wants to talk about. It’s his thread, why would he move on from it? They come in and argue. He won’t let people turn away if they want to? He somehow MAKES them stay and won’t let them turn away from his thread? What are you even saying?

LOL Dude, when comes to biblical knowledge and history, you could not pack my lunch.
The scriptures mention a New Earth and a New Heaven and a New Jerusalem, but no real specifics.
It brings up a ton of questions, I mean a ton. That sort of thing is the playground for the religiously imaginative.
A perfect place for you.
Sticking with the scriptures and all that can be said is that, it is going to happen and it will be good.

The scriptures say that the Earth will pass away, but what does that mean? Will it even be the same planet? I am thinking, total re-created. Notice I said I think....not trying to pass it off as I know. But the scriptures speak of a new creation.
What type of beings will we be on this New Earth? Food....eating.....clothes.....sex.....houses.....families. Will we need to make clothes, or wash clothes? Will there be bodies as we understand them? If so will they need clothes? What will we be doing? Jobs LOL Is God going to provide food, clothing, housing.....transportation? Great joy and happiness.....what is going to cause great joy and happiness?....No Cars? walk around and be happy? Will there be baseball? Sorry from an old joke.

People are uncomfortable with questions like these but Theologians do not fill in the blanks. We say what the scriptures say and do not add imaginative details. We can have faith that it is going to happen and it will all be good, but that is about it.

The Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventists have built detailed religious beliefs on all this. Imaginary.
I would suspect that you have a lot of imaginary details in your head? Do you teach them?
