Opportunity knocked on my door. Why did I talk to the man about Takashi instead of about Jesus?

I have my faith in Jesus sincerely but would never attack or threaten an unbeliever or anyone.

I'm here to pass the time. I'm on disability and several times a day I have to sit with leg pumps on for an hour at a time for my lymphedema.
I enjoy learning new things and being challenged so I look things up and learn during the conversations.

I’m truly sorry that has happened to you. That’s the spirit of the world - or as @Riven would say, the way of the world. Jesus is calling people to come out of the spirit / way of the world.

Those of us who have responded to his call remain in the world, but we are not of the world. We live as he lived in the world while we wait for him to return.

I always enjoyed going to church. It actually always made me feel refreshed in my spirit. I loved hearing the Word preached, the prayers and the hymns. But back then the churches were more sound. Now one has to make sure it's not a Woke church.

Haven't been able to attend church for some time but I found a nice fellowship group at Counter Media UK, as you know @Riven But Richard doesn't do the livestreams as often as he used to.

Because I don't like it. The only aspect that I ever enjoyed was the community, being around other people. I can't stand the music or listening to some pastor regurgitate the same tired sermon over and over again.

I found that hanging out with my church friends afterwards was much more fun. So it might not even be church that I need, but friends I can hang out with. The lone wolf lifestyle isn't as romantic as it's portrayed in media.

Riven we all have different personalities. And there are different types of churches, meaning different music, format and sermons. You might visit some until you find one suited to you.

When I first was born again, I attended a sound interdenominational church that had expository preaching. The pastor would explain verses bit by bit as he went through books of the Bible. You might like expository preaching better.

Also at that church we sung the old hymns which I still prefer.

Much later in life I attended a church with mostly young people. The preaching was good. But the songs were more modern worship songs. But they were still nice songs. I hate some modern Christian music which seems more like rock songs.
