“I came across the book A Song for Nagasaki a few years ago, and it was one of the most unforgettable books I have ever read. …

As I finished this book, I marveled that Takashi Nagai and his story are mostly unknown here in America. I believe it is just as important that we not forget Hiroshima and Nagasaki as it is that we not forget Auschwitz and Dachau. Jesus would never endorse the torture and suffering and killing and destruction the atomic bomb caused. Why do we so readily agree that the Holocaust was a sin, but defend the atomic bombings? …

No rational human contests the horrors of the Holocaust. It is universally decried, except by a few marginalized ‘Holocaust deniers.’ Why is it so controversial to question or criticize dropping atomic bombs on a city filled with children and families and teachers and doctors just living their lives?

Learning the truth about what happened is uncomfortable. The book was certainly not entertainment, not a feel-good read, but in the end very uplifting and inspiring. We need to read this book and others like it so that we can say, and continue to remind ourselves - ‘Never Again.’

I would like to leave you with a question. On August 9, 1945 where do we find Jesus? In a B-29 flying over Nagasaki? Or with the worshipers, soon to be sufferers, praying in the Urakami Cathedral?

‘We suffer with him so that we may be glorified with him.’ - Romans 8:17”

No to feeling. No to prayer. No to reading the Bible. No to pastors. No to attending church. No to reading again my post and yours, which had us agreeing that there were Christians living in Nagasaki.

Yes, no, or maybe to the agnostic?

P.S.

It’s your life, and you can do what you want; until you surrender it to Jesus.

There's nothing left for me to add to the discussion. I don't want to keep referencing old posts or old topics we've already moved on from.

There’s only one question left open, and you don’t have to answer it. I knew the score when you said the Messiah’s teaching is divorced from reality. Despite my many words, nothing has changed. Let’s end the discussion.

If you’re depressed I hope that you will get help.
Yeah, it sucks sometimes. But therapy isn't covered by insurance in the US. Not mine anyway, and it's expensive without it. I get by most days without any fuss. It's just been a rough few months due to changing family dynamics. Estrangement and that sort of thing.

I appreciate your concern nevertheless.

Check into it, even if therapy is not covered psychiatric care likely is. A psychiatrist can recommend medication that may be helpful.
I went to therapy for two months after that I just saw a psychiatrist.

So Rome was justified to burn 1000s at the stake?
just wait till ya see how many gonna bleed cause they wont bend the knee
the the ecumenical harlot and her all inclusive god and peace plan .
big mama has a fat cup of blood for the true saints . and the merged religoins and sold out christendom
gonna all believe they do the will of God for peace when the true saints are yet again pounded and killed .
Just wait . Its coming a shore near you and to all shores on earth . Big mama has poured her love cup
unto this earth and many have drank of it . she and her father the devil and a powerful AI led digital system
will enforce the law of the inclusive god .

@Riven Most pastors do counseling, and it's free. You just need to find one that will be sound and willing to take time to listen to you.

As @RLT63 mentioned, a psychiatrist should be covered by your insurance. They say some people have a chemical imbalance in their brains. But if it's something that can be cleared up by talking with a Christian counselor, I would advise trying that first...rather than medication.

I already did answer. Or have you forgotten already? I suppose you brought up Debbie in an attempt to get my Christian status removed. It matters not; I will continue to speak my heart.
