I can accept “likely” both because that isn’t dogmatically saying these “earth foundation” verses prove the earth is flat.

The Bible clearly says the earth and heaven do have foundations, there is no argument over that. The argument is whether those foundations are the words of God (physics) or whether they are literal tangible foundations that hold them up.

The bible doesn’t say one way or the other yet flat earthers claim it does and that makes Christianity look bad to the unbelieving world and rightly so.

This earth and the heavens/stars is physical and will pass away.

Thank you. I do still strongly believe what Scripture says about the earth being still, and the lights being set in the firmament, having a circuit. I believe the earth is a circle ...not a globe. Whatever the shape under the ground level, is up to God. There are unsearchable foundations that HE spoke into existence. God sits above the circle of the earth, and the earth IS His footstool.

There is no problem with the scripture it’s flat earthers claim that a foundation indications a literal foundation I.e a tangible device physically holding up or supporting heaven and earth.

This is easy; scripture interprets scripture; the root word môsāḏâ H4144 (often spelled "masada") means "fortress" or "stronghold."

It can't get any more "literal" than this:

Agreed! When the Bible talks about the foundation of the earth, it’s talking about the words that God spoke at creation.

How God accomplished the physical construction of the earth was through his word.

There's no need to conflate the physical construct of the earth, with a "flat earth" argument. It's enough for the question at hand to accept that the Holy Bible is clear on the physical foundations of the earth - however they were created.
