I have been a participant in small home churches and found them a great blessing.
However, I can see the reason that regular services that attract a large number of cars
could make life difficult for people who live nearby.
When a group has a 100 attending, I would prefer hiring a local venue with off-road parking areas.
Regular gatherings of that many people also require bathroom facilities and compliance with fire regulations.

There are certainly examples of religious persecution in society today,
but I don't think this is one of them.

Then why is it AOK for them to gather in those numbers to watch Lord of the Rings?
