What is the likelihood of the religious jews blowing up the al aqsa mosque and blaming it on Iranian missile strikes.
Or Iran deliberately targeting the al aqsa mosque to make way for the Jews to rebuild their temple with their Iranian Mahdi in mind.

Heard this recently on a podcast and it seemed interesting , what do you think?
I see both scenarios as probable.

Again, you fail to acknowledge that the phrase "time of the end" has a context that can be interpreted as the end of an Empire, or the end of a reign of a particular dynasty. This is a very common interpretation among biblical scholars throughout history.
Randy, the little horn person stands up against the Prince of princes in Daniel 8:25. And shall be broken without hand, in that verse. Meaning not by human means.

The Prince of princes is Jesus.

"time of the end' phrase search in the online kjv bible reveals these results...

"time of the end" is not referring to the end of an Empire nor dynasty. But to when Jesus returns to rule the nations with a rod of iron.

A similar expression is "latter days"...

I would ask which is stronger, love or iron?

The Prince of princes is Jesus.
The way Antiochus 4 opposed God, the "Prince of princes," was by attacking Orthodox Judaism, including the priestly system, its sacrificial system, its temple system. It is significant, I think, that both Messiah and the High Priest are called "the Great Priest."

Though Jesus, in his preIncarnate form, was certainly the object of hostility during the reign of Antiochus, his specific actions in both Dan 8 and Dan11 describe what he did in his attack of the worship of God. It was, in fact, very much an attack on the Word of God, aka the Christ.
"time of the end' phrase search in the online kjv bible reveals these results...
A search will reveal the standard Dispensationalist, Futurist view, as well as other views outside the scope of this one, minority eschatological system. As I said, throughout Christian history scholarship has viewed "the time of the end" as referring to the end of a kingdom or the end of a particular dynasty. A simple search in Hub Commentaries for the verses in question will show you that.

I would add that Daniel's book condenses the "last days" as a period that only begins in the time when the Romans come to initiate the "Great Tribulation," which is, I believe, the Jewish Diaspora of the NT age. In other words, the "endtimes" encompasses both the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD and the entire period of the NT leading up to the resurrection and 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ.

In the specific context in which we read "time of the end" in Daniel, it is speaking of the end of the time of Antiochus 4 and his dynasty. The context indicates that in the clearest terms, I feel. Even though this would lead to the Great Tribulation beginning in the time of ancient Rome, the "time of the end" here specifically refers to Antiochus 4.
"time of the end" is not referring to the end of an Empire nor dynasty. But to when Jesus returns to rule the nations with a rod of iron.
Again, you are dogmatically stating something that stands against the scholarship and commentaries of much of Christian history. You should, at the very least, acknowledge that? Your view is a minority view among Christians.

You quoted, 'will rule with a rod of iron'. How do you interpret this?......and subsequently my question.
rule with a rod of iron - means that Jesus is not going to let dictators rise to power over nations. Nor that abusive governments rule over nations.

No dictatorships like North Korea has, for example.

Dan 9:26b
Then the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood, and until the end there will be war; desolations have been decreed.
27And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week,i but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple will come the abomination that causes desolation,j until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him.k”

The 'people of the prince to come' = locusts of the 5th Trumpet (locusts= armies as in Judges 6:5), = the armies surrounding Jerusalem (Luke 21:20) = the armies that place the abomination (Dan 11:31) at the start of the 6th Trumpet.

'City' means Mystery Babylon (the 2nd trumpet's burning mountain is a reference to Babylon in Jer 51:25 & Rev 17:18) and also Jerusalem. 'Sanctuary' can mean the Christian church or the literal sanctuary of the old temples located under the Dome of the Rock near the Al Aqsa mosque on the temple mount.

Then there will be war until the Dan 9:27 covenant is made (30 days after the start of the 6th Trumpet). The Rev 10 mighty angel is the entity confirming the covenant via swearing an oath to heaven (oaths produce covenants as in Hosea 10:4 and many other verses). This covenant is then broken 1260 days later at the 7th Trumpet. Then the abomination of desolation moves to the new location (see Zech 5's ephah and how it moves from Jerusalem to Mystery Babylon/ 'Shinar').

So, yes, an attack on the Dome of the Rock (near the Al Aqsa mosque) would easily fulfill this and trigger the war that kills a third of mankind. But it isn't clear what specific ethnic group or country does this. But it will be clear that the abomination is worshiped for a short time, setting off the events.

Don't dictators rule with a 'rod of iron'?

I had read in an Archeology magazine a couple of years ago, that the Dome on the rock was built with beams and materials from the original temple. Israel knows this. Also, they have excavated below it and know the original temple was there.

Having said that, Jeremiah 11 shows that the Jews broke the covenant with God. The temple was burnt down along with the Arc of the covenant. therefore, the covenant no longer exists. Jeremiah 3:16 reflects that the Arc will not be rebuilt and not needed. Without the mercy seat, there is no forgiveness of sins by the Mosaic law, since there is no covenant relationship with God to receive the blood. Jesus already shed His blood and was the last sacrificial lamb.

The Jews today have a false religion of Mosaic law without the ability to fulfill it today. Christians were never commanded to eat a Passover meal, because it became a communion meal, with bread and wine. However, Judaism is the worship of God still, and waiting for their Messiah that they believe never came.

So I ask, what is the purpose of a temple? to kill animals again for no reason this time or to compel all Jews come to the temple for the false forgiveness hope, that only Jesus can give the hope and forgiveness by the redemption of His blood on the Cross..

God is currently building His temple. We are it:

Ephesians 2:19-22... "...fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in Whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit."

1 Corinthians 3:16-17... "Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple."

Hebrews 11:10... "(Abraham) was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God."

And we know, like Job, that God's purposes cannot be thwarted, as Job finally says in Job 42:2... "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted."

Grace and peace to all.

The Talmud, which has precedence over the OT as far as Judaism is concerned, says that a replica is acceptable. Which they have. It was in mar a lago and subsequently moved to a pilgrimage in Israel. They have a full set of replica temple items.

I'm aware of that. In the real world, Pentecost came to the Jews first, and all who accepted Jesus were saved in the first century and the rest of history until today. Nothing has changed since. Only Jesus can save. The Mosaic law is gone and the temple destroyed because of the disobedience of the Jewish people, and refused to acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah, even though they knew the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem and being told by the wish men. The Pharisee's didn't send any one to investigate. They still never investigated 30 yrs later during Jesus' earthly ministry.

The actual temple site is south of the Mosque. If Israel would actually do more research they would know and they could build today
I agree the temple site was never on the Temple Mount. I believe the Second Temple was built in the Ophel area, which is currently being excavated. They are finding an uncommon number of mikvehs in this area, and I believe they will eventually discover that Herod's renovated temple occupied this site, south of the wall at the base of the so-called "Temple Mount". I find it especially ironic that Muslims require shoes to be removed before entry to the Dome of the Rock. They have no idea that they are unintentionally giving honor to the site where my Savior was scourged by the Romans and His blood was spattered on the ground in that Roman Fortress of Antonia zone.

Do you know about the huge underground mosque that has been built under the Dome of the Rock platform? To build it, they illegally removed dump-truck loads of dirt from underneath and threw it away - into the Kidron Valley, I believe. This ruined any kind of archaeological dating that could have been done by obliterating the particular "layers' of what relics that dirt contained. But at least the piles of cast-off dirt were collected and are being sifted through for artifacts. And there are a bunch of them in that cast-off soil that are being reclaimed.

Or they will find out the Dome of the Rock is not the site of the 2nd temple. And the wailing wall is just part of the Roman Garrison of those days, which it is.
Actually I think the Dome of the Rock is exactly where the Temple was as it sits over the foundation stone in which the Covenant of the Ark sat on that rock. There are cut outs that are said to have been made to fit the Arc on the rock.

Plus this is suppose to be where Abraham was going to sacrifice his son at the altar and where David bought the land and built an alter to God to stop the plague. Jacob dreams of the foundation rock where a ladder reached to heaven.

A platform was made to build the Temple and the rock was a central part. I think the rock has to be part of the Temple considering all that history and connection.

Then the Muslims come along 1000s of years later to claim that Mohammad rode his magical horse to the 7th heavens. After taking Jeruslam and see how much religious connection it had to the Jews which they hated. I think this was added to then outdo the Jews as the true religion.
Jesus said not one stone of the 2nd temple will lay upon another, how could the wailing wall be part of the temple wall.
It isn't. This was Herods extension. But its the closest the Jews have to the Temple to pray at. Though as I mentioned it seems there has been a softening for some and they can now go up to the inner terrace where the Dome is. Which would be the Jews most holy place and the inner sancturary of the Temple where the Arc sat.
Any stones of the temple destroyed by Rome, would have been carved up and used to build other buildings.
It was a total destruction of the Jewish temple system, God was done with it.
Yes though I think if you go under the area of the western wall you can see some of the original stones under the stones Herod built from the original walls.

Herod extended the platform but incorporated the original walls surrounding the temple. Some claim that there are original stones and even wood from the Temple.

I watched a doco on when they had to do repairs around the Dome and it showed some original stones and work. They also say that the Octagon building around the Dome of the Rock built by the Caliph Abd al-Malik (688). Was originally a Christian Octagon church as this was a common pattern at that time. The Dome was suppose to be a Mosque but does not have a Kibla.

Its hard to believe that no monument was ever placed there from after the 2nd Temples destruction for 600 years.
