Names written in the book of remembrancer were those the Lord was going to SAVE, ie, grant eternal life to, out of Israel.....but they would not be made "perfect" before the church and the coming and crucifixion of Christ when He descended and preached the gospel to them.....many of them were resurrected when He was. The Lord was not writing down the names of those who were slated to be cast into outer darkness.
Drive west on Sunset
To the sea
Turn that jungle music down
Just until we're out of town
This is no one night stand
It's a real occasion
Close your eyes and you'll be there
It's everything they say
The end of a perfect day
Distant lights from across the bay
Babylon sisters shake it
Babylon sisters shake it
So fine so young
Tell me I'm the only one

Here come those Santa Ana winds again

We'll jog with show folk on the sand
Drink kirschwasser from a shell
San Francisco show and tell
Well I should know by now
That it's just a spasm
Like a Sunday in T.J.
That it's cheap but it's not free
That I'm not what I used to be
And that love's not a game for three

Babylon sisters shake it
Babylon sisters shake it
So fine so young
Tell me I'm the only one

My friends say no don't go
For that cotton candy
Son you're playing with fire
The kid will live and learn
As he watches his bridges burn
From the point of no return

Babylon sisters shake it
Babylon sisters shake it
So fine so young
Tell me I'm the only one

Explain where you are getting this from. You are just patching together some scriptural concepts and making a doctrine they don't support.
It seems obvious that outer darkness and weeping/gnashing of teeth refers to punishment, not salvation from punishment. Can't think why God would want to "remember" to punish and cast those into outer darkness forever where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth........for being righteous in the midst of a wicked generation....they were being lights in the darkness.

No, I meant to explain this:
Old testament faithful God fearing souls could not receive the new covenant because Christ had not yet been crucified and resurrected. They had to wait for the new covenant to come along, that we would all enter into it together so to speak.

Heb 7:19

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Heb 11:39-40

All these were approved through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised,

since God had provided something better for us, so that they would not be made perfect without us.

The book of remembrance was not a literal book, as if God has a bad memory, but was just a way of saying that He would remember those righteous when the new covenant was instituted (think I posted that earlier in the thread) so that they would be saved from wrath and inherit eternal life. He would "remember" to not leave them in their graves to the wages of sin (death). OT saints were resurrected when Jesus was.

Like how the thief on the cross said "Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom"...which would be after His resurrection.

And this verse also alludes to the Lord remembering the faithful of Israel, ie, not forgetting them:

Isa 49:13-15

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands (alluding to the cross);
thy walls are continually before me.

Where does it say in the bible that the book of remembrance "was just a way of saying that He would remember those righteous when the new covenant was instituted"

Where does it say in the bible that the book of remembrance is for believers who will be cast into an eternal "salvation" of outer darkness?

Who said it did? Epi didn't say it was for those who will be cast into outer darkness...he said "The Book of Remembrance maintains the hope we have in Christ based on His mercy towards those who fear His name and speak the truth among themselves"

Who then is "saved" to "outer darkness" for eternity? Is he saying the book of remembrance people are another group..?

The point is that Epi says lots of things that aren't explicitly stated in scripture and you don't require him to produce such scrips.

If you were paying attention just a little, you wouldn't have to jump to wrong conclusions.

Well, I go to a lot of trouble to make the teaching clear by making videos where all the bible verses line up in a framework that make for spiritual growth and understanding. You would think it wouldn't be too difficult to find the disagreement from the video and the explanation attached to it.

Episkopos, I don’t want to derail but I have a question and it’s pretty important to me. In your series of recent videos, the place on your chart that has a question mark - is there anything else you can say about it? You said it was a sort of nothing place but how did you come to label it that way? I’m trying to understand if you find it in scripture? In experience? By talking with others? Where did you get it?

Did you watch part 5? I reveal that in part 5.

How did I get it? By the limitation of humanity when it comes to trying to improve on the best we can do. It works out that when we are TAKEN beyond what we can do...the question mark becomes an exclamation mark. We can do nothing without Christ...nothing that is beyond what we can do. From there the realization of that doesn't take away from us...it preserves what God is giving us.

It's like a key that makes no sense till you find the lock.

The bible says...don't be over wise. Don't be over righteous. Why should you destroy yourself? IOW, why would you try going beyond yourself and finding NOTHING when God is not taking us to a place where there is not the normal limitations??? In Christ we can go forward. Of ourselves we can't...we are stuck in our limitations with only a question mark as to what else is possible.

I got this understanding by just listening to the little voice inside me.

Thank you. I’m going on memory so I’m going to listen to part 5 again. I seem to have got the idea that you were saying it wasn’t a good place to be and that doesn’t seem to be what you meant.

Basically losing yourself is pointless unless you have a new self to put on. Putting on Christ is meant for the inner man AFTER putting off the outer man. Trying to be perfected without removing the outer man just makes things worse and is suicidal for the inner man.

if you wanna see what is quickly coming upon this generation of christendom
then go again to the thread left to us by an athiest called mancurian .
And behold how their new way of evanglizing to the lost , DOES NOT preach the DIRE NEED TO REPENT and BELIEVE On JESUS .
And what else does their new way of inclusive love do .
WHEN I CAME ON to warn the atheist to BELIEV E ON JESUS
WHY dear ol epi called me an Extremist . IT HAS TURNED THEM AGAINST the one true gopsel
THEY no longer even KNOW how to evanglize , and those who do evanglize the gopsel THEY CALL EXTREMIST .
EPI has clearly shown his colors sister . And epi is not the only one , though perhaps he might be
a bit farther along in this incluisvity . Its like a cancer sister , and how it does grow as a deadly chancor .

Or - you could simply clarify if something needs clarifying.

yes, it was very strange how he told an atheist that if he receives a righteous man/prophet he will receive their reward.....as if salvation can be had by following a righteous man or prophet (like Epi himself perhaps?). Among other things, I was getting vibes of Catholicism with that. There is only ONE mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus. Only ONE righteous Man/Prophet in the new covenant, who if we receive and follow HIM we will inherit what He inherits....eternal life and the kingdom.

Or - you could simply clarify if something needs clarifying.
Clarification comes from asking questions not making false statements and spreading untruth. The fact that you don't know that speaks volumes as to what your ideology actually stands for and promotes. We see your basic dishonesty here...that has been promoted in you through the elevation status of the carnal man you espouse. The fruit is apparent even if you can't see it. Change your attitude and the iniquity is not as pronounced.

The very idea that you would denigrate the words of Jesus (receiving a righteous man in the name of a righteous man) and call that sounding "Catholic" is the greatest endorsement of any other version of Christianity than your own. Catholicism is FAR and away safer on judgment day than what you are pushing. If you have to look down on Jesus' words and teachings to make y our ideology felt...then change your ideology. Paul says that those who do such know nothing and are foolish. Do you also denigrate the words of Paul? Or only when it suits you?
There is only ONE mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus.

Not every transaction in life is between God and man. Have you ever heard the "royal law" commandment of loving OTHERS (beside God) as yourself???

Did you sleep through that lesson?
Only ONE righteous Man/Prophet in the new covenant, who if we receive and follow HIM we will inherit what He inherits....eternal life and the kingdom.
This is obviously false...and can only be said by the unlearned and unstable. There are many called righteous even in the NT. You have set your own parameters on what you think is right...but its very wrong.

Being righteous doesn't mean you are a saviour....that's a false attribute that you are inventing....it just means that you are someone who DOES what is right....even imperfectly.

Your bent is so pronounced that you can ONLY read the bible with a self-interest.

Jesus said something else you will HATE. If you seek to save your life (through self-interest) you will lose it. Jesus is selfless and God's people are selfless.
