I don’t think that person was even talking about physical money at all…
Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.
You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.
We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!
Don't be too discouraged @Azim. You can be the reason someone is proud to be on this forum. Forgive being disappointed in the ones you've mentioned and go forward in being a light. You two are very awful. But most importantly, @Lizbeth, you show you actually think. Neither of you read that other thread in full, understanding what the atheist has experienced in his life, from what I read. Lizbeth, you tend to agree with Amigo, and now are follower of him (I say this as you pointed us out who click "likes" to Episkopsos" posts, so that is on you now), to shove dire need "to BELIEV E ON JESUS", rather then put your self in that atheist's shoes, and wonder, what the best way is to reach to him? Many of us who grew up in a Church will still experience a prodigal son's journey towards our Heavenly Father. Have you not experienced it yourself? Or are you just perfect in all your ways, as you see. Which I know, is not true, reading your posts here. I feel ashamed to be part of this forum, for all the other members who showed darkness in that other thread, towards a man seeking the only true "light" in this world. What a failure most of us are, to those who seek Him.
Read the post again. He wrote of the freedom wealth brings.I don’t think that person was even talking about physical money at all…
I think he was talking about spiritual wealth, not monetary wealth. In fact, I don’t think I could have missed that if I tried.Read the post again. He wrote of the freedom wealth brings.
Much love!
One would hope not, but read the last two sentences again:I don’t think that person was even talking about physical money at all…

The Saint - wealthy people full of faith, they are blessed through grace and they're wealthiest amongst us. Their faith is a testament to the power of grace, and they're a shining example of how faith and prosperity can go hand-in-hand.
As you wish. This tells me something about you.Being blessed with wealth is often seen as a divine favor, a sign that one is walking in God's goodness.
Wealth provides the freedom to focus on spiritual growth, enabling individuals to use their time wisely and concentrate on understanding and fulfilling God's will, ultimately leading to sainthood.
Seems easy to understand, but I think not everyone wants to understand, preferring their own thoughts instead. One would hope not, but read the last two sentences again:

This is prosperity gospel stuff. As per Joseph Prince in Singapore and many others. But of course the poster is always free to clarify anything.

Yes.....those who have exposed themselves are just looking for a loophole to try and wiggle out of it, I'm afraid.Seems easy to understand, but I think not everyone wants to understand, preferring their own thoughts instead.

I have this idea that when God gives wealth, His intend is that it be used for His purposes.I believe God calls both the wealthy and the poor to obedience. Prosperity can be a sign of God's blessing at times. It's trusting in riches that is a sin, not having them. There are a lot of examples for this, like Job.
Yes! Sometimes you give and are called to give and keep at it and God sees fit to bless you with a greater capacity to give.I have this idea that when God gives wealth, His intend is that it be used for His purposes.
My sister worked for a time for the Wycliffe Bible Translators, in their donations section. There was a fellow she knew, who lived in Seattle, I think it was. He rented a small apartment. He drove cheap used cars. He didn't travel. He spent his days working the stock market (God had gifted him for this), generating millions of dollars, which he donated all with the exception of his most basic needs.
Whenever I feel blessed by having something extra, I realize my responsibility to use it with wisdom!
Much love!
I agree that God may show His power and kindness in materially prospering some believers who had previously been oppressed and in want, etc.....but sister, anyone is in error if they think or teach that gain is Godliness....it isn't. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be His Name. It is more likely for most of God's people to have sufferings in this world, and it is for our spiritual good. We certainly could wish that nobody suffered, in body or in bank account, but it is not the norm. "Be not surprised at the painful trial...."Because of the damage of prosperity gospel preachers, I think its easy overcorrect into an anti-prosperity gospel.
Proverbs 13:7
King James Version
7 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.
3 John 2
King James Version
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Sister, you've been on my mind. Im praying for you. Im throwing away any judgment in that as well. Really. May God strengthen and provide for you going forward. There is a Psalm that shows this up and down cycle...I almost got dizzy reading it when I first really took note of it, kind of sea sick, lol. And soon we are coming to the end of the age, and for those who are older at least the end of our lives. We need to buckle up and have our eyes looking up and affections and hopes above either way. This world and everything in it are only temporal.. I'm often praying and crying for the Lord to strengthen and make His people ready to face the things that are coming, very much including myself. I'm getting old and tired, never felt so weak and vulnerable, at a time when this world is imploding around me, and I need His strength because mine is gone.
Here’s the NASB:Because of the damage of prosperity gospel preachers, I think its easy overcorrect into an anti-prosperity gospel.

Here's the verse I originally wanted. Here’s the NASB:
7 There is one who pretends to be rich but has nothing;
Another pretends to be poor, but has great wealth.
As someone who's been blessed with a walk in Zion and special training from the Lord, Episkopos, I'm hoping you can shed some light on something that's been on my mind.I'm probably the only one who has ever been before the Lord for real. And the only one here who has walked in Zion (kingdom realm) for an extended amount of time. So maybe I am far more familiar with the truth than most.
I also have a special training from the Lord. I know God in experience not just in theory. But I don't hold that over others...I just try correcting people into a view that supports the truth.
Joseph prince distinctly heard the voice of the lord telling him he was not preaching grace. So his no- repentance, no- law Gospel came by direct divine revelationOh dear, no....this is misleading and not biblical. Very surprised in a way, to see who liked your post too, seeing they preach that it costs all that we have to follow Christ (which part I agree with). I see you are in Singapore......do you follow Joseph Prince by any chance?
The material blessings of the old testament were only types/shadows of the spiritual riches of the new covenant. The gospel is good news to the poor, no? And Jesus even said it is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom than it is for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
And even in the old testament it says it is better the little that the righteous have than to dwell in the tents of the wicked......also where it says Lord give me neither too much nor too little. Wealth is strongly associated with degeneracy. History bears this out........the Caesars of Rome, other pagan empires, the infamous courts of Europe and those who we call the "elite" today. Not to mention just look at the general moral decline of western society that has become quite wealthy. Like ancient Israel forgot God when she became materially "blessed", it causes people to "forget God"....like the Laodicean church saying I am rich and have need of nothing.

Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.As someone who's been blessed with a walk in Zion and special training from the Lord, Episkopos, I'm hoping you can shed some light on something that's been on my mind.
On the day of judgement, what happens when a father is deemed righteous, but his son is considered wicked, or vice versa? How will the righteous individual react in such a scenario?
I'm sorry, that is going over my head, I don't understand. What do you mean by his no-repentance, no-law gospel and how does it apply to material wealth/prosperity....?Joseph prince distinctly heard the voice of the lord telling him he was not preaching grace.
