++++++So what you should do is stop calling believers sinners.
++++++That puts believers in the same category as unbelievers.

What I do do is tell it how it is, all believers still sin as do unbelievers with the difference being that unbelievers are not saved.
It's always good to hear that a believer in Christ Jesus considers himself to be a sinner.
I suppose that's what Christianity has come down to these days.

Here's what the NT teaches:

Hebrews 5:9
9And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,

°
Jesus became the source of eternal salvation....to all those who obey Him.

Hebrews 12:14
14Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.

Yes, believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are saved sinners.
Listen to what you just stated David:

"Yes, believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are saved sinners."

How could a sinner be saved?
Does a sinner practice being right with God?

1 John 3:10
10By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God,

You referred to Jesus as Lord Jesus.
Here is what Jesus said.

Luke 6:46
46“Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

Born again believers still sin. They are saved and remain saved because of the sacrifice of Jesus they believe in for the forgiveness of sin.

1 John 2:1-2
1My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins

Are you suggesting those that are saved do not sin?
Did I say that?

Does obeying Jesus mean we will never sin?
Why must we go from one extreme to the other?

Are you a believer?
Then you are not a sinner.

1 John 3:9
9No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

You are a child of God that commits sin.
A few verses John states this:
1 John 3:1
1See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are.

Then John give the remedy.
1 John 1:9
9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Galatians 5:17 YLT
17for the flesh doth desire contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit contrary to the flesh, and these are opposed one to another, that the things that ye may will — these ye may not do

But because they believe in the forgiveness of God in Christ that sin is not held to their account.

Romans 4:7-8

7“Blessed are those
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.

8Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” b

Those who only have the sample of grace from regeneration still sin. Yes. A sample if grace is not enough to overcome sin with. But what the sample of grace can't do, the full measure of grace can.

Whoever enters INTO Christ does not sin. In Him is no sin.

They are opposed to one another.
The sinner has no opposition.

Christians are not sinners.
They are believers that sin.

I cannot make it more clear than that.

Unbelievers are sinners because their flesh does not even know the spirit.
There is no opposition.

Believers have the spirit.
There is opposition.
Sometimes we sin...but we are not sinners.

Which part are you referring to, exactly?

"so that you will not sin"

"But if anybody does sin"

"we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ"
We should not be sinning because we are not sinners.
IF we sin,,,,this means that it is possible for believers to still sin...
then we have an advocate with the Father.

Sinners sin all the time with no second thought to offending God.

Does loving your neighbor as yourself include not turning a blind eye to suffering? (Obviously, yes.) But why then do so many choose not to see, or to know, or to hear .....or read .....and be confronted with the fact that there is a tremendous amount of suffering going on that Christians often choose to ignore, or even worse, deny is happening? If you knew there was one among or near you who was suffering persecution, terroristic threats, and/or domestic violence ..... what would you do?

On the one hand, we tout about our good deeds ....and on the other hand, ignore (or even deny) the sufferings of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Why does this happen? Is it because we can walk up to a homeless person and given them a few dollars and walk away without hearing or knowing what circumstances got them there? We can give a meal or $10 and walk away. The dissociation within the church is severe. Sit with them, listen to their struggles ....and many of the suffering are sitting right in your church pews, or on this forum. Do you care to "go there" nonjudgmentally?

Whoever walks by the Spirit does not sin.

Galatians 5:18
18if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the (condemnation of the) law.

The problem is we don't always walk by the Spirit. That's a skill that the children of God grow up into.

Ephesians 4:15
15we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

Lord knows, it's not about me ...but ....a few years back, I was going to WM and passed by a woman holding a sign. I had to stop. She was trying to get to her son who was in the hospital. My heart went out to her. I stopped and hugged her ...and asked her, "Please tell me about your son." She needed that!!!!

As a mom, I know how much a mama wants others to know how precious their babies are. I want people to know my son Matthew was an amazing faith-filled young man ...he suffered much, and yet was so full of love. And God took him Home at age 17.

A mama never forgets her babies. And this mama just melted when I gave her the opportunity to share about her son. She obviously was hurting not being able to travel to see her son in the hospital. What I gave her is between her, myself, and God. But ....the heart, y'all ....engage the heart. Without love, it's all clanging brass and tinkling cymbals.

I'm confident that all born again Christians believe that we should not be sinning. It goes without saying.
Agreed.

Then what I'm saying is that we should not identify ourselves as sinners.
But as children of God that commit sin.

1 John 1:6-7
6If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;
7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Sinners walk in darkness.
Believers walk in the light.

I believe this is an important distinction and we should stop calling ourselves sinners.

One of my neighbors has this bumper sticker on his Ford F150 truck.

If someone wants to identify as a non-sinner, who am I to judge?

Truly listening without just simply waiting to say what I want is one thing Im working on. But it's a way we can show love.

Right.

But the question here is the opposite.
Do you believe Christians should be defined as sinners?
