With inflation being 2x to 5x the same price as 2019, 7 years later we as Christians often pay 10% plus or minus so we have church buildings, servants of God, and many gatherings of happiness to be part of for us and our loved ones.
On top of that, some areas charge extra tax. From tax on purchases, to tax you earn, to tax on water and other properties.
Add to that the yoke us Christians feel of helping the poor and needy, less fortunate, the widows, children, single people, injured, made homeless, etc.
In life accidents do happen which can threaten people's livelihood. Such is the story of the book of Job.
Thieves can take what we need or want, situations can also make it difficult to survive. Illness can hurt us and also make it difficult. On the job and at home disasters can further make the yoke of life heavier.
I have experienced difficulty in life as others have.
We have the parable of the sheep and goats to read in Matthew 25, 31-46.
We hope our loving charity goes to those that need it and hope it truly helps.
Reading the book of Jude we learn about the "spots in the feasts of charity". Those that sometimes are our enemies and feast without fear among us. And what would help them the most? As we are taught to love them and bless them that despitefuly use us. We pray for them and decide for ourselves, sometimes with God also, when to give.
As is the case with drug addicts and drug dealers, prostitution slavers. We hope our money does not go, by giving to the wrong people, towards something, like illegal weapons, that would be used against us or those we care about dearly.
In loving hope,
Devin
