Simple test? No you
simple do not know what you are talking about.
If you can tell me the exact day and time the church goes apostate using only the scripture with no extra Biblical evidence, then you have used scripture to interpret scripture for a prophetic fulfillment.
Exact day and time?! What an absurd argument!
Where does Scripture teach that we must identify the "exact day and hour of a prophetic event" before we can understand its fulfillment? You have invented another rule that Scripture itself never establishes!
You are completely misunderstanding the
nature of the
Great Apostasy and the prophetic sequence revealed in Scripture.
First,
NO MAN KNOWS when the last of God's elect will be sealed (Revelation 7:1–4). Nor does Scripture reveal the exact day or hour when Satan will be released from the bottomless pit to deceive the nations again (Revelation 20:3, 7–8).
NO MAN!
Do you seriously imagine that the entire professing church throughout the world will suddenly become apostate at precisely 12:00 midnight on some particular date?
LOL! That is not what Scripture teaches!
The great falling away is a
process of spiritual deception, not some worldwide announcement that every church has officially become apostate overnight!
When Satan is released for his little season, he goes forth to deceive the nations again (Revelation 20:7–8). This deception spreads through false prophets, false christs, and corrupt teachings, just as Christ warned in Matthew 24:11, 24. And it takes time for them to spread into all congregations!
Over time, those who have spiritual discernment will begin recognizing the evidence of apostasy within the professing congregations. This is why Christ repeatedly warned His people to
WATCH!
Now consider something important:
Revelation 12:1 describes a woman clothed with the
sun, the
moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve
stars. In this prophetic interpretation, the woman represents the covenant congregation of God's people.
Therefore, the darkening of the sun, moon, and stars in
Matthew 24:29 must be examined in light of this symbolic language, rather than automatically assuming Christ is describing literal astronomical disasters.
The
darkening signifies
spiritual judgment and the
loss of spiritual light within the professing congregation.
Notice carefully the prophetic sequence:
Matthew 24:29 —
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven..."
Matthew 24:30 —
"AND THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven..."
Did you catch those two words?
"AND THEN!"
Christ establishes an order: the tribulation
(falling away), the darkening of the heavenly lights
(judgment of the unfaithful church), AND THEN the appearance of the sign of the Son of Man.
Within this spiritual understanding, the heavenly signs reveal God's judgment upon the apostate congregation before the final manifestation of Christ's coming in glory.
We are not given an exact calendar date for the beginning of worldwide apostasy. Rather, we are instructed to recognize its spiritual characteristics through the Word of God.
Consider
Matthew 24:32–33, where Christ uses the fig tree to teach His disciples to recognize when events are drawing near. The lesson is about discerning the season from the signs, not calculating an "exact day and hour."
And
Matthew 24:36 explicitly warns that no man knows the day and hour of Christ's coming, right? Huh? Huh?
So here is the fundamental problem with your challenge:
You are demanding an exact date that Scripture never promises to reveal, then pretending that the inability to provide that date somehow disproves spiritual discernment of prophecy!
That is a completely
false standard.
Scripture tells us
WHAT the great falling away is,
WHY deception occurs, and
HOW God's people must remain watchful. It does not provide a timestamp for the precise moment the last elect is sealed, Satan is released, the great falling away, or the judgment of the whore.
We discern the fulfillment of prophecy by understanding Scripture first, not by inventing dates or forcing historical observations into our preconceived interpretations.
And one final question:
If you insist that an exact date is necessary to establish prophetic fulfillment, then show me the Scripture that establishes YOUR rule!
Until then, your demand for an exact day and hour is
nothing more than another human assumption.
Selah!
