So I will ask you the same question and get the same answer, evasive. Would you kill for government?
If I was a soldier or member of the armed forces, yes. My conscience does not demand I be a pacifist. If yours does, then follow what God placed there. Would I be a policeman? Yes if I was 50 years younger. Would I be an executioner for a prison? No.

Two things can be true at the same time. However, God's promises for protection is not why she runs to me when terrified for her life rather than her prayer closet.
You don't have a clue what the NT says!
If you don't know that she is innocent, why do you keep claiming others are for killing the innocent?
I know the 'justice' system. It is Satanic! And you want them to kill innocent people!

You fire a weapon knowing it may kill innocents, that's MURDER!

There are ZERO excuses for Christians to kill anyone!

IF that is true it's because Satan was their ministers! I think he's been teaching you too! So you don't even have a clue what God promised!!!
Take some prozac and calm down. And your thinking on this is warped.

So Peter being crucified was because Satan was his minister? Paul being beheaded was because Satan was his minister? All the other apostles (except John) who were brutally murdered was because Satan was their minister? The thousands of believers who were dipped in oil and lit to be tiki torches for Neros garden parties was because Satan was their minister? the thousands who were put in the arenas by Rome and butchered by wild animals, that happened because all those believers had Satan as their minister? Do you really believe that.

Or how about the Muslims who gave their lives to Jesus and were brutally murdered by the Imams, was their minister Satan? or the millions of Chines since the 1950's who gave their lives to Jesus only to forfeit their lives by the sate, was Satan their minister as well? Do you really believe what you just wrote?

Jack, according to the NT does the government hold the sword in vain?

There are ZERO excuses for Christians to kill anyone!

You're simply wrong about that as history shows. Millions of Christians have killed for centuries. But now Jack comes along and sets us straight.

It doesn't say for YOU to kill anyone! You're twisting Scripture!

And you don't know if they were Christians! You take a LOT for granted in your fairy tales!

Well I am glad I will stand before Jesus and not you. You are a far harsher judge than Jesus.
No Scripture? Of course not. There ain't none telling Christians to kill people! ZERO!
So then you do believe all believers who were murdered had Satan as their minister as you claimed earlier. OK thenn! Good to know. I think we are done. You are too far out in left field to have a rational conversation with.

You are twisting Scripture!
  1. Why does my granddaughter come to me when she's in fear of her life; A or B?
  2. Does the government hold the sword in vain? Yes or no.
Where did Jesus tell Christians to kill people? He didn't. You're making excuses to kill people! You're obsessed.

If you kill people your hands will be bloody on Judgment Day!

I never said nor implied any such thing!

Where did Jesus tell Christians to kill people? He didn't! Not even a trace of that!

I am part of we, the government.

Government is the problem now that it has been taken over by ungodly men.
You should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers so time for you to get out of government.

No, the government does not hold the sword in vain but let's be realistic and understand the civil governments of the world are with the anti-chrsit and will be the entities that bring in and support the coming one world government which is of the devil. They are of satan.

Civil authority that God put in to place has been hijacked. You're not aware of what's going on?

So you vote to kill innocent people for CORRUPT government! Won't Judgment Day be interesting!

The particular women being spoken of by the OP is actually guilty and still have a death warrant on her so she needs to be put to death for the grievous crime of torturing and murdering the young lady she and her friends killed.

Capital punishment was God's idea.

The diff is your doctrine of KILLING innocent people and Jesus' doctrine of mercy!

The catholics and the reformers have been known to murder people just because they did not agree with their fake religion.

Maybe @Wrangler is a reformer. I haven't seen him say thing promoting catholicism so he's probably one of those reformers.

So you choose to send her to Hell instead of prison where she may obtain salvation? Many have been saved in prisons! Many have been found not guilty after spending years in prisons!

Government is the problem now that it has been taken over by ungodly men.

Only because godly men retreated from the field. All that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.

You should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers so time for you to get out of government.

To the extent it is up to us. What do you make of the prohibition of requiring a religious test?

Article VI Supreme Law

  • Clause 3 Oaths of Office

  • The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Yet, I still reject your solution of retreat.

I'm not familiar with that term. So, I don't consider myself to be a reformer. One thing I am is an advocate of Thomas Aquinas' Odo amoris. Yes, we are to have love and loyalty to God above all else but we also have a duty to love and have loyalty to others in ever increasing circles of lower priority.

There is a famous Christian Band called For King & Country - often put 'God and country.' I have loyalty to both my mother and my wife. To my daughter and granddaughter. To my neighbor, city and State. (These are not contradictory but was tested during the War of Northern Aggression. Where does our highest practical loyalty lie in the public square?)

In the current case, @Jack is endlessly amusing in his hysterics in disavowing Romans 13, in not supporting government to do its job to administer justice. The weight of Scripture rests heavily upon him for he knows the government does not hold the sword in vain is NOT a metaphor. This is why he refuses to answer the Scriptural question. He just spins out of control, repeating points already addressed and seems to think USING CAPITAL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATIONS POINTS make him more right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tiphat:

It clearly means OBEY the LAWS, not MURDER people, innocent or guilty! Your obsession with KILLING is not amusing.
The weight of Scripture rests heavily upon him for he knows the government does not hold the sword in vain is NOT a metaphor.
Then why did Jesus tell them to put away their swords?

Matthew 26:52
52 But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.

This is why he refuses to answer the Scriptural question. He just spins out of control, repeating points already addressed and seems to think USING CAPITAL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATIONS POINTS make him more right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tiphat:
IOW, you show ZERO mercy! Your doctrine: Send them to Hell not prison!

Jas 2:13 He will have judgment WITHOUT MERCY who has shown no mercy!
