@ScottA

And you are not willing to learn from the truth of the matter but continue to deny it with your belief that the spirit is revealing to you "God's truth."

The meaning of "confound" in this use, is: "guard."

Genesis 3:24
So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Which if you will note, aligns the timing of the two events.
ah well, Word is definitely guarded, at least from most believers. The ptb apparently understand the concept of Word intimately though, hmm

Groper, ScottA does "guard" with the use of thorns and the words that he uses to confound anybody who reads his words to protect himself and his "territory" on this board. Strong's Hebrew: 8104. שָׁמַר (shamar) -- to keep, watch, preserve

Oh well, why question a man of such learning, it is not a profitable undertaking, as he has been set, so to speak, in "stone".

well, you prolly aren't ever going to find anyone who believes like you do, right, so i would take the good and overlook the bad. "Forgiveness" can mean a lot more than just saying "i forgive you."

well, i understand you here, but see that this might not be true either; you are surely making an impact when you illuminate truth, imo we just expect an immediate response, rather than seeing how truth actually changes a person, iow over time, while laying in bed that night, or whatever lol. Of course in the moment when you are debating, an argument will be presented; but if what you are saying is truth it will change the convo nonetheless i think.

Would it be better to have your truth unchallenged? Actually no, right.

When a change of mind does occur, it usually happens "in an instant," but the path to get there is different for everyone i guess.

plus, being a forum, i or someone like me is liable to challenge your truth, even if i agree with it, just to illuminate a different aspect or whatever, pls pardon the person changes in there lol

Groper, it is very hard to read the body language on a forum unlike when we are having a face to face conversation with a person. The response times on a forum where only the written word is being used is very, very slow and cumbersome. It is much harder to learn what the person's "body language" response is as it is bound up only in the words used. We cannot always see the smile on the respondents face as he is typing into the ether of the internet.

However, in any conversation for it to be successful, it requires a willingness to learn. Where a person is not willing to learn, i.e. the other persons body language in a face to face conversation, then the conversation degenerates into a one way conversation where the person unwilling to learn is talking at the other person and not with the other person. That person has already put up the barriers and good communication becomes much more difficult to achieve.

I have great respect of people who challenge me and my posts as I too can learn of my mistaken ideas from them and reassess what I am writing.

However, within the boundaries of written communication, this does become much more difficult as "sound bite" type response do not help very well with what that person is attempting to convey as the details of their though processes are lost.

Sadly, it requires a long chapter, some times, to respond or to explain our thoughts on a forum and long responses are often ignored because it cause too much pain for the laughing matter to comprehend when a person attempts to cross all of the "t" and dot all of the "I."
