Second Peter 3:9 says it isn'?t God?'s will for anyone to perish:
?The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.?
That?'s as plain as the Scripture can make it. It is not God'?s WILL for anyone to perish, but they do. In fact, Jesus said more people would enter through the broad gate unto destruction than enter through the narrow gate unto life (Matt. 7:13-14). God doesn'?t force salvation on people.
People don'?t have to ask Jesus to save them; they just need to believe the nearly-too-good-to-be-true news that their sins are already forgiven and receive their salvation (Acts 16:31). The same thing is true of healing: God has already healed everyone, just as He has already paid for the forgiveness of everyone?s sins.
Healing is already an accomplished work. First Peter 2:24 says,
?Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.? AW. Believe and receive your health and prosperity!!!
III John 2 -- Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

I Peter 2: 24 -- Who his own self bear our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Hosea 4:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee,

Do believers not age, with all the health issues that brings?

Take MLK. Should he have recovered from being shot and not died since God had already healed him?

The health and prosperity Gospel is TOTALLY FALSE. Bogus.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. (Acts 14:22)

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (2 Tim 3:12)

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. (Rom 8:35,36)

The health and prosperity gospel is false, but that doesn't mean Christians can't have them.

There is a belief of "seed planting" giving in which you give to get... So to speak. Its based on the scripture that says he that sows much will reap much. Totally the wrong reason to give. The only two reasons I can find in the Bible are 1. Out of love for God; and 2. For the teaching.

On the other hand... That doesn't mean Christians shouldn't enjoy and strive for health and prosperity.

Jyst my take...

True. But to preach this as guaranteed to Christians, and then to fool Christians into making these Prosperity Preachers personally wealthy, extravagant, wasteful, boastful, and con-artists is what is false. Also, these preachers have many other false doctrines in their arsenal.

Slander means false damaging statement. But if a statement is true, it cannot be slander.

Here's one news report:
"Prosperity gospel" preachers under investigation by the Senate

Washington D.C., Nov 8, 2007 / 11:29 am (CNA).-

A top Republican on the U.S. Senate Finance Committee is investigating the finances of televangelist preachers after allegations of corruption, the Associated Press reports.

The investigation by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa is a response to reports of extravagant spending by preachers, whose purchases include Rolls Royces and a $30,000 conference table. Senator Grassley said in a statement he was acting on complaints from the public and news coverage of the organizations, which enjoy tax exemptions.

Those under scrutiny include faith healer Benny Hinn, Georgia megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar, and one of the nation's most prominent women preachers Joyce Meyer.

Most of the organizations under investigation adhere to a variation of the "prosperity gospel" which teaches that God will reward faithful followers with material wealth.

While nothing came of this investigation, the fact that there was an inquiry for three years indicates that there must have been some substance to the reason for this in the first place. Here the followup:

NEW YORK — A senator's high-profile investigation of spending by televangelists wrapped up after more than three years Thursday with no penalties for the pastors who refused to cooperate and no definitive findings of wrongdoing.

The report released by Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley raises questions about the personal use of church-owned airplanes, luxury homes and credit cards by pastors and their families, and expresses concern about the lack of oversight of finances by boards often packed with the televangelists' relatives and friends.

Recently we were visited by a Christian charity worker from one of the townships, working among people and mainly children suffering from hiv/aids.
She explained that one of their problems is finding 'christian' preachers to minister to these increadibly poor people.
There are lots of churches in the townships with large expensive manses, surrounded by hovels.

The point of the prosperity gospel is that the ONLY people who get rich are the preachers.

May I suggest that supporters of these lies go to their towns hospital and walk around claiming healing for all with in and that they attend a charity food store/handout centre and claim prosperity for all who attend.
Let them report back that the hospitals and foodbanks have closed in their town.
