Latin is the best way to get a message across clearly and English can be miss understood far to easy.
Doctors surgeons chemist etc do not use English as it's crap in such a field, so as such it does not describe.
If one says in Latin what type of tree something is, you can not mistake what it is, but in English we can have many names for the same thing.

When we read an English Bible it's just a translation that can miss the mark and be mistaken easy if you do not have some understanding of Latin and Hebrew, because English is trying to make the best out of the translation that it can and one has to mindful of that. So some idiot will point to something in the Bible and make fun of it, thinking that it's nonsense, but the fact is that the ignorant has not got a clue and is just barking up the wrong tree, thinking he is smarter than everyone.

Priests are not obligated to re-quote the scripture, scripture, scripture that had just been read. Most often, they try to make the scripture readings relevant to today's world. Some priests are better at homiletics than others. So what. I can endure the droning of a 90 year old priest, and still have the indescribable intimacy with Jesus in the Eucharist.

They are not my perceptions I was warned about the facts by people who lived through the hell of it all.
Yes and even Jews who were locked up and nearly starved to death and all there family died as well, showed me the numbers tat on there arm and all, I just happened to meet one down the beach a year or so ago, he said that the whales were not out and about yet, as he walked by and we started talking, what a great bloke he was and we got on great he knew what he was talking about and was saying what is going on nowadays that people have no idea what they coming up against, he had seen it all and said the same madness is set to repeat again the way it's going.

For the 50th time, I guess you are the expert on what goes on in Catholic and Protestant.

I personally favor reading Daily instead of Hearing one or two times a week for an hour or so......Thus whomever you have decided; Catholics or Protestants are awarded your higher merits for speaking more Scripture during a single service is irrelevant to me.

I tend to agree with aspen, that Catholic Services are boring.
