Jesus is the one truth that we can all agree on, Amen? So this thread is all about Him.....Share your favorite scriptures or teachings about who He is in your life.

For me this one is resonating so much in my life today because my faith has recently gone through the 'trial by fire" and so I am very grateful and thankful for this scripture because He is the author and finisher of my faith!
Hebrews 12:2 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Did you know your avatar is the same as 'Angelina'. It does make it confusing.

Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven...and all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” Rev 7:11-12

This is one of my favorite scriptures because I identified at one time with this woman's desperation and tenaciousness!

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.
And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. Matthew 15:22-28

John 10:28-29 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I have given them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me, is greater than all, no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one.

this makes me cry...she didn't walk away at the first rebuke but determined in her heart to persevere and get what she came seeking.

Revelation 1:10-20
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

This is the revelation of the Son of Man for the end time. The Rapturing revelation that is hid behind the Seven Seals.

Jesus the highest name.

Bill Grines husband of Janney who was a Christian singer, told this story about the name of Jesus. In India for the ministry he couldn't sleep and walked out on a very long pier that went out into the bay. Even though it was in the wee hours there were hundreds of people on the dock. It was very noisy with all the talk. He began to converse with a man who spoke English and as he hdjd he began to witness. He was speaking quietly but when he spoke the name Jesus a silence fell upon on those hundreds of people as if he'd yelled that name. The people hadn't heard but those demons indwelling all those worshippers of false gods sure did. Jesus the name above all names had stroke fear into the hundreds or thousands of demons out on that crowded dock.

When I was first saved out here in the forested hills then baptized in the Holy Spirit as I sat in the loft of a room I was building, the Lord bestowed upon me the gift of tongues. I knew nothing about what had happened me or what this was. All I knew was that God had given it. In living like the devil the previous 33years nothing like that had happened before.

I just went around speaking in this heavenly language and it seems about we very dozen words I would repeat a word. Yeshua!

It was pronounced with the emphasis on the yesh part, YESH-ua, with - ua trailing off to barely discernable. I've heard many people using this word but pronouncing it oppositely with emphasis on the ye-SHUA last four letters. I'll stick with the original pronunciation the Holy Spirit gave me.

After awhile my language changed and the Holy Spirit dropped the Jesus word from my prayer language but gave others.

In witnessing to folks often mention that God permits us to call Him by His first name, Jesus. Frequently they practically have a look of shock on their faces when it is pointed out that Jesus is God.

God is very big, way way too big for just one name so He has many names describing Him. But the one name we use, the name higher than any other name is the name of Jesus. YESH-ua!

A remarkable feature of the name Isaiah is that it consists of the same two elements as the name Joshua (יהושע). The name Joshua is the Hebrew form of the Greek name Jesus, and most probably the name by which Jesus the Nazarene was known by His contemporaries..." There is also a name..Yeshua...mentioned a few times in the OT. Slightly different spelling from Joshua.
