Science in the Bible?
Check this out:
'reasons to believe'
Hugh Ross is a dangerous heretic (and you can tell him I said so), for he teaches
Jesuit cosmogony and geology, and has very much blood on his hands, since he has been warned on numerous occasions, by numerous people, and refuses to repent of his errors, and leads little children astray. God said:
Mat_18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Mar_9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Luk_17:2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
I am not speaking of those who are ignorant of the truth, I speak of Hugh Ross, who is not ignorant of the truth, but refuses to bow (now) before it.
True science (knowledge) comes from God's word, and simply add up the dates given therein, since God is the
"faithful and true witness" (Rev. 3:14), and the
"true and faithful witness" (Jer. 42:5) and God cannot lie (Titus 1:2).
Hugh Ross, has bought into the
"science falsely so called" (1 Tim. 6:20).
Rom. 5:12 Wherefore, as
by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Adam was created to live forever, and yet there was time in the Garden, see:
In Day 4 we see the sun, moon and even stars (local) (created) for "seasons", "days", "years" in the perfect, "finished" garden (Day 6-7) and even "day" and "night" from Day 1, with "evening" and "morning".
Gen. 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the
day from the
night; and let them be for signs, and for
seasons, and for
days, and
years:
Also see all the days, "evening" and "morning" "day", etc (Gen. 1:5,8,13,19,23,31, 2:1-3, etc)
It doesn't matter how long Adam was in the Garden before being expulsed due to sin, since scripture says:
"all the days that Adam lived ..." 930 years. Adam was
"alive" from His creation, in the 6th day, in the Garden.
Hugh Ross is in error.
Gen. 1:27 So
God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen. 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And
the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed
man (Adam) of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and
man became a living soul.
Gen. 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam.
In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
Gen. 5:5 And
all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
Gen. 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth
were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen. 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen. 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from
all his work which God created and made.
The text does
not say that all the days that Adam lived after leaving the Garden. He reads that into the text, which is eisigesis.
Thus including the day Adam was created in the Garden and the days since unto his death.
The text does
not say "after he left the garden", not anywhere in scripture and not in Gen. 5:1-5.
It plainly says:
Gen. 5:5 And
all the days that Adam
lived were
nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
Hugh Ross is in grievous error.
