It would seem that no human institution is able to represent the true nature of Jesus Christ...being both fully God AND fully human. This is seen by all and sundry as impossible. So then His nature is divided up piecemeal with each denomination attempting to champion one facet of Christ or the other. But Jesus as a whole person goes undiscovered and unrepresented.

People may seek to hide behind statements of faith and worship songs that declare great things. But how much of that is lip service?

Is God impressed so easily?

So then we are worshiping a Jesus...too often...of our own design..stumbling over the real Jesus to get at the one we want.

Let's look at how people react to the real Jesus when compared with the counterfeit.

There was a man called Jesus Barabbas. He was imprisoned at the same time as Jesus of Nazareth. Now it came the time of Passover that a man should be released to the people. So then a choice was to be made between Jesus Barabbas (meaning son of the father) And Jesus Bar ABBA (the Son of the Father)

Whom did the people choose?

Whom do people keep choosing?

Why do people always seem to choose the counterfeit over the real?

The devil knows what he is doing and always considers the best interest of men. He knows his clientele.

Mat' 16:23 But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”

So you have the real Jesus setting His mind on the things of God....to the pleasure of God.

And you have Satan setting his mind on the things of men....to the pleasure of men.

Is it any wonder then that men are attracted to the counterfeit...which seeks to include their own sensibilities and concerns?

Who is concerned over the things of God...rather than their own eternal security, or their own status. People are basically selfish beings that seem unable to let their own self-interest go.

The self-interests of men are catered to...not resisted. Even in the church.

Sure...even the Laodiceans church was still referred to as such although they were naked and blind.
So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.

i would read "the Church at Laodicia" there more as an allowance to get the attention of the pertinent parties, not an actual description maybe

"
The Greek version of the name Joshua is Jesus, and Constantine's version of Jesus became the recipient of a vast personality cult: in effect, Constantine made Jesus the new and everlasting Caesar of the Roman Empire. This was obviously a blatant perversion of everything Jesus had preached, so the official next step was to discourage people from reading the Bible. That worked wonders too, and still does in many regions of the 'Christian' world..." Evolution, the Bible and the halting of the sun over Gibeon

Quite possible...but it still says church. So maybe God allows people to put the word "church" on their buildings...just to get their attention?

ha, after all of the critique @ "buildings" i srsly doubt it, but who knows.
Imo at least one in Laodicia rebounded, ergo "the Church at Laodicia" would be valid enough even in the literal interp of the passage, not allowing that Laodicia is one of the "churches" we inhabit in our walk iow

At Yom Kippour....each year 2 goats were selected...one for sacrifice to the Lord...and one set free into the wilderness. (Lev. 16) This is a picture of Jesus and Barabbas.

The followers of Jesus Barabbas are looking to preserve their lives.

The followers of Jeus Christ give up their lives.

Mat. 10:39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

The followers of Barabbas will wander in the wilderness for ever.

There is a version of Jesus that allows us to remain on the broad way that leads to death. It seems right and reasonable to people. But that's the problem. The truth is very hard to hear and accept. But the lie is like honey....it is music to the uncircumcised ear.

So then who is going to take a stand against the wholesale infiltration of a counterfeit saviour scheme in the churches?

Where is the cross? Where is the life?

The real Jesus is a stumblingblock to the religiously minded. The real Jesus cannot be understood by the carnal mind.

Is. 8:14 He will be a holy place; for both Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.

Jesus will indeed come as a thief in the night. He was even crucified as a thief....between 2 thieves. But what is He going to take away?

Anything that the Father has not established...will be uprooted.

If Jesus was "fully God and fully human", he would have two personalities. Once we clear this up we can worship him in better light.

THE SYMBOL OF CHALCEDON

The Symbol of Chalcedon, adopted at the fourth and fifth sessions of the Fourth Ecumenical Council, dates back to 451 A.D.. Philip Schaff, in his Creeds of Christendom, writes of the Symbol (or Creed) of Chalcedon, “While the first Council of Nicaea had established the eternal, pre-existent Godhead of Christ, the Symbol of the Fourth Ecumenical Council relates to the incarnate Logos, as he walked upon earth and sits on the right hand of the Father. It is directed against the errors of Nestorius and Eutyches, who agreed with the Nicene Creed as opposed to Arianism, but put the Godhead of Christ in a false relation to his humanity.”3

We, then, following the holy Fathers, all with one consent, teach men to confess one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the same perfect in Godhead and also perfect in manhood; truly God and truly man, of a reasonable [rational] soul and body; consubstantial [coessential] with us according to the manhood; in all things like unto us, without sin; begotten before all ages of the Father according to the Godhead, and in these latter days, for us and for our salvation, born of the Virgin Mary, the mother of God, according to the Manhood; one and the same Christ, Son, Lord, Only-begotten, to be acknowledged in two natures, inconfusedly, unchangeably, indivisibly, inseparably; the distinction of natures being by no means taken away by the union, but rather the property of each nature being preserved, and concurring in one person and one Subsistence, not parted or divided into two persons, but one and the same Son, and only begotten, God the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the prophets from the beginning [have declared] concerning him, and the Lord Jesus Christ himself has taught us, and the Creed of the holy Fathers has handed down to us.

The truth is that even though Christ is fully God and fully sinless Man, He has only ONE PERSONALITY.

Schizophrenia is a human disability. It does not apply to God manifest in the flesh.

If Jesus was fully sinless man he had two personalities. The problem is in your phraseology. Jesus is one divine person (God) having a fully divine and a fully human nature.

Jesus is God

I have testified of my own belief JESUS is, God WITH US.

in person with a fully human nature and a fully divine nature.

THAT ^ is "your" Testimony.

If you get it wrong here, you have a false concept of Christ, or at worst, another Jesus.

No. I am NOT subject to "your" ridiculous
"IF / THEN" conditional statement of claims, "you" have falsely attempted to "apply" to me.

Matt 1:23....God with us...

God Bless,
