Read the bible. Forced celibacy cannot be found.

List of sexually active popes - Wikipedia

How many others were never caught?
OK...sooooo who is forcing someone to be celibate? Your spouse? ;)

Seriously.......Are the married Catholic priest forced to be celibate? (Hint, no)

Also, one volunteers to be a celibate priest or nun. Did you know that?

Are we to pretend 1 Corinthians 7 was never written?

Can you find a different way to bash The Church instead of these false claims you are making?

Where are the Catholic apologists? They jump on everything else.

Trying to be crafty again.

Unmarried Catholic priests cannot marry.

Those married before becoming a priest are encouraged to be celibate.

Dear friend,

Are you married or single? Is anyone forcing you to do either? Unmarried Catholic men or women can CHOOSE to be celibate. It is not forced upon anyone so stop making such silly statements.

Where is your evidence that they are encouraged to be celibate?

Hey....dodge ball king........Are we to pretend 1 Corinthians 7 was never written?

And here you go again.

The subject was Catholic clergy getting married.

I have been happily married one time for 46 years.

Yes. I have seen other data in the past that would add to it.

Plus well aware of what happened in the Catholic Church where I grew up. I don't think you'd want me to repeat that information.
Soooo if you read the link YOU PROVIDED you would have seen this line here: The Catholic Church doesn’t teach (and never taught) that all clergy must be celibate.

Contrary to what you said there is no "forced" celibacy....It's voluntary. Just like you volunteered to get married. If you would have stayed single your Christian faith would have "forced celibacy" upon you.

Contrary to what you said those married before becoming a priest are NOT encouraged to be celibate.

This thread is just another anti-Catholic thread with false information and the sad thing about it is the link YOU PROVIDED says opposite of the point you were trying to make. You should be embarrassed....but I know your not.

I suspect you won't admit your mistake and publically apologize......but I am hopeful.

Hopeful Mary
