* GRACE
Titus 2:11
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Ephesians 2:8
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

* GRACE -> FAITH
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

* GRACE -> FAITH -> CONFESSION
Romans 10:10
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

* GRACE -> FAITH -> CONFESSION -> works [repentance + baptism in Jesus name + receiving the Holy Ghost]

James 2:17
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Acts 2:38
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

1Peter
3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...

* GRACE -> FAITH -> CONFESSION -> works [repentance + baptism in Jesus name + receiving the Holy Ghost] -> LIVING a HOLY and SEPARATED Life

Hebrews 12:14
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Forgiveness through the blood of Christ means we as believers are set free from the condemnation of the law: (Romans 6:14, Romans 7:4, Romans 7:6, Galatians 2:19, Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14, Hebrews 7:18-19).

We are forgiven much (Romans 4:1-8; Psalms 25:11; Psalms 51:3, 1 John 1:9).

As the result, we love Him much (Luke 7:36-50, 1 John 4:19, Romans 5:5, Ephesians 3:16-20).

Because we love Him, and our neighbor as ourselves, for that we have received the Holy Ghost by faith (Galatians 3:14) and His love through the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5) we obey His commandments (Romans 13:8-10, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, 1 John 2:3-5, John 14:15, John 15:9-10).

You cannot approach God or receive anything from God without faith... IT is foundation
So.. it starts by GRACE (unmerited favor of God)... grace is a teacher... ... then comes FAITH (we got to believe in order to receive anything from God) then comes CONFESSION (confessing our sins to God) then comes REPENTANCE (asking God to forgive us)
then BAPTISM (washing away) then Holy Ghost (with evidence of speaking in tongues Acts 2:1-4, Acts 10, Acts 19, etc...) then lving a Holy and separated life...
ALL of this has to have FAITH but without works FAITH is dead...
God bless.

We have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand (Romans 5:1-2)...then grace teaches us to live the life we are called to live (Titus 2:11-14)

Book of Romans was written to the believers who already repented and were baptized and received the Holy Ghost:
Romans 6:3
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

1 Cor 1:17 is talking about PERSONAL ministry of Paul... not about the doctrine of salvation. Please be fair to the scriptures.

We are talking about the plan of salvation. You can find how the saints of the original church were saved in the Book of ACTS. This the book of how the church was started with the first message of salvation preached by Peter on the Day of Pentecost when they all got the Holy Ghost. Later through the time church spread through the region and all over the globe but the message of salvation was never changed. Books from Romans - all the way down till Revelation were written many times specifically to the saints that were already repented, baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Ghost.

You would think that if baptism were necessary for salvation, that the Lord would have sent Paul to baptize, not just to preach the gospel.

What? He preached the gospel to them but stopped short of doing what it would take for them to enter the kingdom?

That is preaching a message of condemnation: "you must be baptized to be saved" but "It's not my calling to baptize you."

Contrary to John 3:17 (kjv).

Mark 16:16
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
John 3:5
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

He that believeth not shall be damned...damnation has nothing to do with not being baptized.

If they believe and are baptized they shall be saved...as opposed to the "should not perish" of John 3:16.

Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13.

While I haven't taken chances on this myself, and also don't recommend that anyone else take chances either...

In John 3:5, the water being spoken of there can be interpreted by Ephesians 5:26.

Or, it could be interpreted by John 4:13-14 and John 7:37-39 since the Greek word for and in John 3:5 is kai.

If you want to take chances for your own soul...
The truth had been delivered...
The Book of Romans was written to the believers who were already repented, baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Ghost.
The Word of God is not changed. It had been true from the beginning...

When did the converts of Rome get baptized? Paul wrote the letter to them long before he actually went there and lived among them.

Of course, Acts of the Apostles 2:39 plus Romans 8:30 creates an airtight case for the necessity of Acts of the Apostles 2:38 baptism in my view.

Consider Acts of the Apostles 13:48 however. There is no mention of the people who were then saved being baptized in the book of Acts.

So much quoting so little understanding.

Gal_1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

without it it we have nothing

Eph_1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

It is why God gave us Jesus, it is why Jesus went back to the father so we could receive the Holy Spirit, by the Spirit all His are lead, it is why we dont need prophets, and apostles and pastors, and evangelists, because

Act_2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

God never gave us a book, He gave us His best, but His best is not enough for man, trying to prove his worth to God. Thats why we have forums.

We are approved by God, because of what Christ did, none can earn there approval by there works.
