A Mormon forum member wants to present her beliefs is solidly Christian and biblical. When challenged tries to deny Temple Mormon teachings and wants to discuss the issues off forum in private.

On one thread he said she did not want to disrupt the topic and a different thread should be created to discuss Mormon beliefs. So here it is.

For those on for mayor with Mormonism here are some key aspects to be aware of:

Mormon churches do not teach Temple Mormon secrets and beliefs. They try to sound very Christian.

God the father is the literal son of another God and one of his multiple wives. He worked his way up to godhood on another planet.

Satan and Jesus are literal brothers born to the father and his wives.

Everyone is born pre-incarnate in heaven. Later they descend to earthly mothers to be born in earthly lives with no memory of their pre-incarnate existence.

They do not believe in hell, but in three heavens that one works to obtain while living on the earth. Those who attain the celestial heaven can continue to progress to being an angel and eventually a God of their own creation.

I was accused of misrepresenting Mormon beliefs, so here is official Mormon sources:

Scriptures | LDS.org

In the left column our official documents that are well worth reading and reveal a lot of beliefs Temple Mormons do not wish to go into detail on and non-Temple Mormons are not even aware of.

So if you wish to know more, study and discuss. You will quickly see Mormonism is a cult.

Many believe the angel on top of Mormon temples is Gabriel, but in fact it is a mythological angel called Moroni.

Moroni supposedly led Joseph Smith to gold tablets from ancient times on which the book of Mormon was engraved, another part of the Bible.

Even though Mormonism is not Bible Christianity altogether, surprisingly the Book of Mormon does present Gospel truth.

For the fulness of mine intent is that I may persuade men to come unto the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, and be saved. (1 Nephi 6:4)

1 NEPHI 10
4 Yea, even six hundred years from the time that my father left Jerusalem, a prophet would the Lord God raise up among the Jews—even a Messiah, or, in other words, a Savior of the world.

5 And he also spake concerning the prophets, how great a number had testified of these things, concerning this Messiah, of whom he had spoken, or this Redeemer of the world.

6 Wherefore, all mankind were in a lost and in a fallen state, and ever would be save they should rely on this Redeemer.

7 And he spake also concerning a prophet who should come before the Messiah, to prepare the way of the Lord—

8 Yea, even he should go forth and cry in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, and make his paths straight; for there standeth one among you whom ye know not; and he is mightier than I, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose. And much spake my father concerning this thing.

9 And my father said he should baptize in Bethabara, beyond Jordan; and he also said he should baptize with water; even that he should baptize the Messiah with water.

10 And after he had baptized the Messiah with water, he should behold and bear record that he had baptized the Lamb of God, who should take away the sins of the world.

That is because plagiarize the KJV, including its errors.

From experience I can say I know a lot about the Mormon church. As a former (Brief) member of that church I left after I discovered the inner workings of it's sanctum. Actually the encounter with the Mormons clued me on to the possibility of empathic bioelectrical exchanges between humans (As I would feel their holy spirit many times)

The experiences I felt were human in nature, not spiritual (As they think) They emotionally connect to people and love bomb them by projecting their emotional state through prayer. The receiver (If receptive enough) will pick up on their frequency and just assume that at that moment the spirit of God is communicating with them.

I watched this occurrence up close with a Mormon friend who would experience certain uplifting emotional states that lead him to believe in the power of the Mormon faith. It seems reasonable to me that the higher up the chain of command you are the more people are praying for you, which would mean that bioelectrical data would be received constantly. Basically their all tripping on each others frequencies and naming it some spiritual encounter with God.

How can the Lamb of God be a false Christ? What is stated there is exactly what is in the Bible. However, Mormonism is not strictly biblical.

Because Joseph Smith copied much of the KJV into the book of Mormon, errors and all.

Christ of the Bible is not born to the father and one of his wise as Mormonism teaches.

The second person of the Trinity in Christ eternal and equal to the father and Holy Spirit. Not so in Mormon teachings.

The name remains the same. But the contents change. = False Christ = idol worship.

Actually that is incorrect. Please note what I am quoting from a Mormon writer and the link is provided below:

"Jesus Is the Savior of All the World
The title page of the Book of Mormon declares that the book was written for “the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations.” That statement tells us who Jesus is. He is God and has been active among the peoples of the world. He is not an absentee landlord...

The Book of Mormon tells us that the person we call Jesus Christ is the God of the whole world, and of all people, and has been working among all nations to the extent of their willingness and ability to receive, and in accordance with his own timetable...

I mentioned earlier that Jesus is Jehovah, born into the world with a body of flesh and bones, clothed with mortality... There is no mistaking the fact that Nephi wanted his readers to understand that the God of their fathers (Jehovah) would come to earth as the Messiah..."

Christians need to be careful that they do not bear false witness about others.

A Mormon forum member wants to present her beliefs is solidly Christian and biblical.
Oh, you're talking about me.

I'm going to start this by stating this fact: I don't care if anyone here agrees with my beliefs. Totally don't care. I do however, try to be factual about what those beliefs actually are. For a parallel here: I don't agree with a lot of Catholic beliefs, but it would be unethical for me to say "Catholics believe you should kill a pig and wear it around as a hat"- cause that's simply not true. We disagreeing with someone about beliefs doesn't mean we can't also be factual about what those beliefs are.

Also stating at the gate here: if anyone who like to hear more in-depth about any subject on here or elsewhere, let me know and I will happily address it more in depth.

When challenged tries to deny Temple Mormon teachings and wants to discuss the issues off forum in private.
^False statement.
True statement: I am happy to address any point, assuming that the other person actually wants to talk about things. I have addressed these exact points from this exact poster several times, only to have the same falsehoods and personal insults repeated verbatim.
Mormon churches do not teach Temple Mormon secrets and beliefs. They try to sound very Christian.
^False statement.
True statement: I'm happy to address any point and just talk how I talk.
God the father is the literal son of another God and one of his multiple wives. He worked his way up to godhood on another planet.
^False statement all around. Anything regarding "multiple wives" is not doctrine, same with the "worked his way up to godhood" and other planets stuff. These statements are false claims taken from non-doctrinal speculation, ripped from context, and completely cartoonized. If anyone wants me to go more in depth on any of this, feel free to ask.
Satan and Jesus are literal brothers born to the father and his wives.
^False statement.
True statement: the Father was/is the Father of all. Christ is His Only Begotten Son that perfectly follows the Father's will. Everyone else: not so much. There is no special relationship between Lucifer and Christ. And I already addressed the "wives" part.
Everyone is born pre-incarnate in heaven. Later they descend to earthly mothers to be born in earthly lives with no memory of their pre-incarnate existence.
This one is actually somewhat factual (albeit said really weird). LDS interrupt the "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee" (Job 1:5) to be literally knowing.
They do not believe in hell, but in three heavens that one works to obtain while living on the earth. Those who attain the celestial heaven can continue to progress to being an angel and eventually a God of their own creation.
^False/misrepresentation all around. On being saved: Like other Christians, LDS readily acknowledge that it's faith that saves a person. But also that Christ didn't die on a cross so that you can continue living in sin -- real faith is an action. For accurate info on LDS view of post-mortal life, I recommend this link: Kingdoms of Glory
I was accused of misrepresenting Mormon beliefs, so here is official Mormon sources:

Except that the statements you make here don't link to that real source. The true source of this information is the works of Ed Decker and Walter Martin.

Who got the crazy idea that is was Gabriel?
Moroni supposedly led Joseph Smith to gold tablets from ancient times on which the book of Mormon was engraved, another part of the Bible.
Actually the "Mormon Bible" is the 66 book KJV. The Book of Mormon is not the Bible.

Actually I historically hate being social at church and have had horrible times in social situations there. I am naturally a huge introvert and find lots of friendliness to be exhausting and unwelcome. I do not hold the beliefs I do for any social reason. And I actually get a tons of discrimination from other venues because I hold the beliefs I do.

If I just wanted an easier road for social reason, I could pick any other path and have a MUCH easier and more welcoming social time.
