Except that CI never cites sources which
    A) Are actual real sources (vs citing a completely non authoritative document) and
    B) Actually support the claim he's making. Frequently the sources and him aren't even talking about the same subject

I"m a person who have visited and studied dozens & dozens of different belief systems. If somebody wants to engage in apologetics, you need to be willing to listen and get your facts straight about what the other person actually believes. Otherwise you're wasting your time arguing against a position no one holds.

The point is that it's not Scripture being taught and defended.

Not a single Christian group/person is truly sola scriptura. Every one includes other sources of authority/tradition, even down to what defines scripture cannon.
So trying to complain a group is not sola scriptura doesn't hold a lot of weight.

Well, you clearly don't hold to Sola Scriptura. John 17.17; Psalm 119.105.

Neither do you, or any other Christian.
I'm just open about that fact.

You don't know me; but since you have more or less denied Sola Scriptura, then maybe we should all let the Scriptures search us.

I don't need to specifically know you: there are ZERO sola scriptura Christians in existence. Even the Bible you hold in your hands is not defined by scriptura, but by outside tradition. You read it through lens of tradition. You recite creeds of tradition. Etc.
This applies to EVERY SINGLE Christian that has never existed and ever will.

Since when do the scriptures search anyone? Can you quote a verse that says such a thing? Are the scriptures a separate Living entity or even a Living part of God?

My Bibles ...and I own several... have never searched anyone nor have they ever saved anyone. The written scriptures [any verses taken from any translation or version in any language] do not alone do anything. This is a major difference or even THE major difference between them and Jesus, Jesus actually being the Word of God. Without the Blood, the Body of Christ would be dead. It is not because of what? Not because of Bibles members own and never open or read!

Then they would no longer be Mormon.

How much time and knowledge does a person require to grow and to change? How much time and knowledge did the so-called good thief dying on the cross next to Jesus have to obtain a favorable result from Jesus? How much apparently devilish work did Saul/Paul accomplish in how much time and how much knowledge of the scriptures did he already have when finally after years, he was met on the road to Damascus by Jesus?

If a Mormon is wrong in present practice and/or belief but is hungering and thirsting after righteousness, how long will it be before he is led into the right place of belief and practice? When will he be filled?

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matt 5:6

The thief on the cross had a lot of time with Jesus to get to know him.

A lot of Mormons left Mormons because they found the truth.

The God in Christ of Mormonism do not faintly resemble the God and Christ of the Bible.

The fact remains Mormonism is not Christian.

But since you do not believe in study that is a problem for you.

    Exactly! lol,
But, you will be judged as you judge them. You and I might not care for the extra-biblical foundation and some of the other doctrinal beliefs but...God surly knows their hearts and attitudes, not you nor I. If I remember correctly Core...you are non-denom.? Not sure but, if you are, I bet you don't believe, 100% every time with every teaching of your Church??

Nondenominational only demand core demands of the Bible.

That being the Trinity of God, The the incarnate Christ as Savior and salvation by faith alone.

All the rest is open to discussion and debate, yet we nearly find ourselves 100% on the same page without denominational doctrine.

How is that possible? The Holy Spirit.

Christians need to be careful not to Rubber stamp a false church that masquerades as if it worships the same Jesus of the Bible.
You obviously know very little about Mormonism and the False Jesus & false teachings that are the core of mormonism. Joseph Smith and Brigham Young are false prophets. They were wolves in sheep's clothing & need to be treated as such. Just because these false prophets weaved some familiar aspects of the Bible into Mormonism does not make it Christian.
It is a false Christ they preach , so they do not preach the Gospel of Jesus, any more then the false Fatima visions & prophecies of the Rcc represent the real biblical Mary the mother of Jesus.
