Please Chris, yes, question what I wrote, for if it’s truth, truth will defend itself, and it will stand the test, and if not, well, who wants it anyways. So let’s examine together. ??

The whole post can be summed up in the statement;

“For righteousness and being willing to do righteousness in all things is the action that brings the proof of God’s existence to the front of every heart that would be willing to do righteousness.”

Is not the above statement bringing forth the same truth as;

John 7:17 (NASB)
“If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself.”

(Oops sorry wasn’t finished with the post yet, will finish it later. Sorry, chubby fingers accidentally pushed the post button). :(

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But to continue;
Are not both statements bringing forth the same truth, that if someone is “willing” they shall know?
So willing to what?
Willing to do His teaching.
Are not the teachings of God instructions in righteousness? So the scripture could read;
“If anyone was willing to be taught by His instructions in righteousness He will know proof positively if these teachings come from God Himself or if I made them up myself”
So if the teachings come from God Himself that would be proof positive of His existence. This is what I was trying to bring forth, the way given in scripture that “you might know”.
Hope this helps with my meaning and the understanding of my post. I do hope it feeds on even a small level. For growing in Christ is what the purpose of our salvation is.
Blessings,
Much love in Christ, Not me
Very glad you got to finish! Excellent stuff!
This is like the personal testimony we were talking about on another thread, that as we want to do God's will, we see it is good in our lives, and come to know God, and to trust Him and love Him.
Reminds me of . . .
Romans 12:1-2
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Much love!
Your post had me jumping for joy in Christ. Blessings and many thanks Mark.
It is so true, the more we walk in righteousness we see it for what it is, His will at all times.
Resulting in a intimacy and fellowship with Him that makes the hearts desire after Him to be enlarged wherefore all we want is to walk in more and more righteousness wherein we can get to know this Great and Awesome God who died to set us free from all that was born in Adam or self. Seeing how self is our worst enemy and causes us all our problems. Oh to be freed from self in a greater and greater degree.
Blessings as this is worked in all those that are willing.
Much love in Christ, Not me
Oh to be freed from self in a greater and greater degree.
Of course, we are now completely free in Christ.
It seems to be a difficult thing to understand and accept for some, certainly for me. But understanding that we are in fact dead to law, sin, flesh, world, this is liberty, and there is no hold on us by any of these, only to the point that we don't believe it true that we are free.
Much love!
It is important, for the sake of spirituality, that we divide the man into three parts… Physical, Spiritual, and Intellectual. If E = mc2 then we can divide and conclude that...
Mass (m) = Energy (E/c2) And there are three varieties...
Natural E/c2 - All mass is basically cooled plasma, the sun is the visible form of E/c2
Mental E/c2 - Our thinking can produce creativeness, light, and good things
Spiritual E/c2 - E (motivation, warmth, love) / c2 (faith, hope, charity, joy)
The Natural E/c2 in the form of mass produces a gravity that attracts other objects
The Intellectual E/c2 produces a gravity that draws us to study
The Spiritual E/c2 also has a gravity that draws and makes religion attractive
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: - Acts 17:27
I have felt God spiritually and therefore know he exists.
ha you would not believe how close this is to some Abarim i recently read rocky...he takes it a bit further, quite interesting though. You could search what is it ah "supersymmetry" onsite for more if you like
It is true to the degree one's death in Christ is opened and manifested in one’s life, to that degree will they be able to walk in newness of life.
That we His body would come to understand this truth;
What being “dead in Christ and alive unto God” means, and to know it by experience.
Blessings as we search into Him that we might experience these truths.
Hi Not me,
How does that happen, would you say?
Much love!
Mark
By being brought to the end of themselves. When a believer sees that their only way to stop sinning is to actually die. It is than that the foundation of our salvation is opened up in the heart of the believer;
“When Christ died, we died”
It is than they see the necessity of their being joined with Christ in His death. And will accept it on and by faith, for “the just shall live by faith”. For until than they will continually try to help God out and not accept His salvation on His terms which is a 100% free gift from God to the believing soul.
When a believer is really and truly willing to enter into death rather than sin, it is than freedom from sin will be found and they will walk in newness of life.
Blessings as we search into God for the understanding of these truths,
Reminds me of this . . .
Romans 5:1-5
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
I think there are many reasons why sin continues in the life of the believer. We've died in Christ, and are free in Him, and if we believe, we then live in this freedom.
In my life it is knowing that God is here with me and will never leave me, and never condemns me, regardless of my current state of mind, or my behavior, that frees me to live as His child.
I believe that just like salvation comes through faith, so does our freedom from sin. God has freed us from sin, and believing that to be true brings that reality into our lives.
Much love!
