Every day I've been reading about one more assault on our Constitution and I wonder why there is no public outrage. It's as if Americans think if they can keep their heads down it won't affect them - but that isn't true since history shows that eventually these types of things continue down a slippery slope until an entire populace is affected.
I also wondered if many of the stories about Americans who have had their rights eviscerated are only reported by alternative news and Americans just aren't realizing the true scope of the problem.
I just heard the story yesterday told by Attorney John Whitehead, a Constitutional lawyer, who told about a decorated marine who had posted his dissatisfaction with Obama on FaceBook. All these vans pulled up to his house and he went to the door and asked what was going on. He was thrown up against a fence and arrested. He kept asking what he did. They threw him in jail and forced him to be evaluated by a psychiatrist who claimed "He hesitated before answering questions." (who wouldn't under those circumstances?) They used that to confine him to a psychiatric facility.
His mother called many groups seeking help until she found John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute, who was able to get the marine out.
This is just one of many Constitutional violations that I read about every day. Isn't anyone else concerned about losing their rights? I don't know if this is happening in the UK or Australia but there has been a marked shift into the loss of our rights until America is starting to look like Nazi Germany.
Attorney John Whitehead said that he is very concerned about our loss of rights in this country because he's on the front lines and is seeing cases such as this.
