When the HolySpirit comes He is not going to talk about signs, wonders, and miracles. Jesus said He will testify of me, He will teach you me. We have had the HolySpirit doing all sorts of things, we have HolySpirit schools, we have HolySpirit meeting. I used to advertise our meetings, "like the days of old, the HolySpirit being poured out," among other things as well. It was all a gimick to try to fill our seats. Did we hope good things were going to happen, sure, but in the long run it would cost you.

That is all I knew, men/women will do what they know to do, and of coarse there are plenty of teachers to help your ignorance. Point being you can have in mind the HolySpirit doing all sorts of things, I have seen fall outs over "do we say Holy Spirit or do we say Holy Ghost," like there is a difference, amazing.

We need the HolySpirit doing exactly what Jesus said He would do in the book of John Chapters 14-16. Reread it if it's been awhile it is written so clear, and in plain english. I hear the question asked alot "what about the power," the power is Christ revealed in you. When the HolySpirit reveals Christ in a believer they get a new everything, the life in them is revealed, their bible gets real and vivid to point where they can understand.

That's what spiritual maturity is, you reading your bible and knowing what it is talking about. There is no more shots in the dark, the gray area that believers start out with are gone, no more gray area, it is all black and white. Why? Because you have seen Christ as your life now, by the HolySpirit. When you see Christ in you, you see Christ in everything, you see Him in other believers, you see Christ in all the scriptures, what did Jesus say about the scriptures, "they testify of me." Doctrine will not drive you, you have seen Him. Schism's don't interest you, you have seen Him. Nothing matters, you have seen Him. The good report or the bad report does not matter, you have seen Him. Everything around you takes on it's prosper perspective, it is Christ as the life of the believer right now in this earth.

It takes the HolySpirit bringing Christ alive to you, just like Jesus said He would do. Are you looking for the rivers of living water, it's Christ alive in you. The well that never runs dry, Christ alive in you. The believers understanding either makes them or brakes them as far as seeing Christ as life. If a believer never see's Christ alive in them, they will be ok, heaven is their home and God is their Father, but they miss the completion (in mind only) their Father planned before the foundation of the world, Ephesians 1:4

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Greetings, Soulman.

I agree that it will cost you. I've heard a lot of similar advertisements promoting meetings, and to those who have been around awhile it is just obvious hype that cheapens the gospel and makes the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ seem untrustworthy.

But now, my advice here would be not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. His purpose for sending signs and wonders was to confirm the word. What word? The testimony that Christ was indeed the Son of God. It confirmed He was no mortal man since the signs and wonders that were being manifested were clearly of God and not of man.

But yes, until churches are prepared to fast and pray (and for years if necessary I believe) until the TRUE power of God manifests itself in congregations, I think using false advertising just to hype up meetings and get people to come out to them is merely using merchandizing techniques, and cheapening the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessings to you, and thanks for the post!

Yes I agree whole heartedly, I believe miracles are for today and happen every day. They probably happen when we don't even realize at times, and then the times we pray and do get a miracle.
